@silence2314 In everyone's defense, Legends Arkoos was a pretty solid game. That, and megas are coming back _somehow_ . Hopefully, I'm wrong and we get to actually use all the old ones _and_ some brand new megas too. Let's just hope that Legends ZaZa will be just as good, if not better.
To be fair, there are so many pokemon at this point. It's hard to keep track of all of them. I constantly forget certain species exist until I see them every once in a blue moon. I can only imagine how daunting that must be for someone new to the franchise. I think TPC has noticed this, too, and this factor's not just giving us smaller dexes, but I also think this is why we didn't get full evolution lines of the new regionals in PLA. Changing the type triangle probably isn't even being considered. They would have to make 9 new regionals instead of the 3 regional evos. The target of the Legends games (at least PLA) didn't seem to focus on new mons. PLA had so few new additions that you can't even fill a box with those species, and that's counting regional forms.
Here’s my ideal trio with some ideas for their evolutions: Sprigattito: grass/steel type based on a fencer and thief. Since Arsene Lupin is French in origin, it’d be interesting to make Kalosian Meowscarada a gentleman thief wielding a sword with grace. (That may or may not be the p5 fan in me though.) Tepig: Fire/fairy type based on a pastry chef. This is actually inspired by tepig cooking its food before eating it, and since France is known for pastries why not tie that to a starter. Kalosian Emboar doesn’t even need an oven, HE IS THE OVEN! Mudkip: Water/poison type based on a factory worker. This was a difficult choice but I was thinking of making it a reference to the industrial revolution, so Kalosian swampert would be slinging industrial waste instead of mud! (This would probably be my choice since mudkip is my first starter.)
Infernape: fire/electric, literally just infernape but yellow like super saiyan Infernape: fighting/fairy literally just infernape but white based on gear 5 luffy
There are two reasons for that 1) They can't copy something existing if they know about it, so the fan made ones take designs too similar out of the running as the community is pretty vocal about what ones they like 2) They need to appeal to large groups. Eevee as a starter have always been my dream, since I started playing the games as a kid. I really hope we get that, or a new eeveelution! A dragon or rock type would be amazing!
I love the flying-fighting-rock triangle as both offensively and defensively similar to the original, with the only difference being that each of the types hit themselves for neutral instead of resisting them. It's also nice cause it's a physical triangle to balance out the original triangle being pure special, based on type categories from the first 3 gens
A (very low) starter possibility could be an emboar inspired by Thor (similar to God of War for example), since Kalos' legendary ones have Norse inspiration, in addition to hisuian typhlosion being inspired by a creature from Japanese mythology, they could repeat this formula again to make a mythological fire starter, I would guess that the type of this emboar could be Fire and Steel with some viking armor and obviously the hammer
Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie as starters - with (finally) their mega evolution - was my first thought, so I'm not gonna get disappointed if that's the case. But let's put some spicy things to it: in Scarlet & Violet, we got 7 stars raids for a rock-teratype Chesnaught, fairy-teratype Delphox and poison-teratype Greninja. What if they use these types for the megas? Maybe grass/rock fire/fairy, and water/poison, or even crazier rock/fighting, fairy/psychic and poison/dark.
What I imagine would happen in Pokemon ZaZa is that the starters from other regions get variants for their final forms, kalos starters get mega forms or bond forms of some kind and either the gen 1 or 1 and 3 starters come back with their mega forms as rewards of some kind, then they get put into the tenth gen if it comes up.

Last time they did Gens 2, 5, and 7, so if they do Charizard Z finally (which makes a lot of sense with mega evolutions confirmed) I'd imagine they could do the same pattern using Gens 1, 4, and 6. Gen 1 would be the fire type starter, so that leaves either Torterra or Empoleon for Gen 4 and either Chesnaught or Greninja for Gen 6. Greninja has already gotten a lot of love with Ash-Greninja and being included in Smash, and Chesnaught could really use a cool regional design! Plus astronauts (what chesnaught is based off of) could be considered futuristic like what they're going for. That only leaves us one choice, with the water starter Empoleon from Gen 4!
