  • Olá Amigos e Amigas 🫡 Another place for consideration in Portugal 🇵🇹 I've been here already, but this time I'm showing it to my family. As always, little fact dose:
Lourinhã is a Portuguese village in the municipality of Lourinhã, located in the historic province of Estremadura and on the coast of the West region.
The municipality is located in the northwest of the Lisbon district, having a total area of 147.17 km² and 26,246 inhabitants.
This town is accessible to the main cities of Portugal and Lisbon, which is 63 kilometers away, particularly thanks to the A8.
The municipality of Lourinhã is bordered to the north by the municipalities of Peniche and Óbidos, to the south by the municipality of Torres Vedras, to the east by the municipalities of Bombarral and Cadaval, and to the west by the Atlantic Ocean.
Lourinhã also has 12 kilometers of coastline.
Around 80% of the municipality's area is used in agriculture, mainly in the cultivation of Pêra Rocha, vineyards, and potatoes.
These factors contribute to the unique identity and economy of Lourinhã.
About property prices - average 2000 euros per square meter for buying and long-term rent - 9 euros per square meter, per month 👌

Adding some sort of spirits to the mousse is kind of an old "secret". My parents had a restaurant here in Torres Novas between 1975 and 1981 (my mother was the cook) and one day she decided to put some Rum in the strawberry mousse, just as an experiment. The mousse sold normally and nobody said anything or complained about the different taste. The next day she made a chocolate mousse and during lunch time everybody was asking if we had strawberry mousse instead. My father asked why and all the customers who asked about it said it tasted amazingly and they wanted it again. So, to "solve" the problem, my father had the genius idea to add Rum to all the chocolate mousses that were already made to serve that day and started telling the customers to try that one and see what they thought about it. Suffice to say that it was an even bigger success than the strawberry mousse from the day before! From that moment on, my mom started adding Rum to all the mousses she made and we became known for it. There were even people who went there just for the mousse! 😄

You look like you are having lots of fun and an amazing journey through Portugal, love your videos, especially of Figueira da Foz, lots to see there, a beautiful place, I enjoy your down to earth reviews, makes me want to move back to Portugal from cold and dull England, have you thought about doing a video of the island of Madeira?

I like Lourinhã!! Little, to no tourists, a lot of historical buildings, and 12km of coastline within 15 mins driving. Just perfect, man...Except for the Uber part!😂
