    Wow Mike, sweet pick ups, an unbelievable collection from an iconic musician and that incredible story you told about meeting George Benson awhile ago, that's one helluva great story and one I'm sure you will never forget either! Keep up the great work!

    cant ever go wrong with Grant Green.....That 3 sounds record is tuff too......Check out Gene Harris & 3 sounds. Lee Morgan Sidewinder is a classic.

    Many years ago I had a George Benson 45 on the groove label I believe it was the cover of a Ray Charles record
    It was his first to this day I’ve never seen another one 🤔

      Well loved copy = crap. Play copy = better than well loved but still crap. Evidently nm copies were neither well loved nor playable haha.

      @@OwlsRNotWhatTheySeem It is interesting that George Benson's copy of Breezin' on Mobile Fidelity is VG++ condition. I guess an artist doesn't listen to their own records much.

    I never understood/understand why "collectors" keep the vinyl OUTSIDE of the protective inner paper sleeve...makes no sense to me at all!

    I met George once myself. I managed a record store in New Jersey for about 20 years. Benson spent about 2 hours there one day. Nice guy, although he wasn't very interested in talking about a doo wop record he made with a vocal group in his early days.       You mean Jackson Browne label. What you have is rare but in this case that does not make it valuable. This kind thing overall was semi-common in the 70s.

    Still puzzles me why records are stored outside the jacket at the back...i found it takes up more room on the shelf, I got terrible chaffing on the outer cover from adjacent records and the oval shape of the album cover gets disfigured

      Your doing something wrong. Try not packing them so tight. Enough so there upright but not so much that they are smushed.
