Safety First. I would change it over to the Nutted style for the safety factor. I build Evo's for TA and they are Nutted, which when an axel goes, you just loose drive, not a wheel.
I've found better pedal feel with proper SS solid brake lines than with the PTFE SS lines. Hose will always have a little give, while not much, long lengths of it add up in the pedal especially in high pressure applications.
