I launched out of B&W i'm guessing a couple months after you shot this and indeed that houseboat was under water. Looked pretty nice from what I could see and I assumed it sank by accident. Can't believe someone just let it go because that thing wasn't cheap.

That was an interesting tour. I appreciate how you show on a map where you found those landmarks. 👍🏻

Yes! Still a thing. My uncles first took my back in the 90’s. I was designated captain at 16 years old. Good times.

      @@ronmexico6241 thanks for the info.
I wonder if it's available to rent or buy? That was a great place at one time and aside from the hotties there, they made some damn good FAT Burgers.

      @@slit4659 good times for sure!!!
That was our go to place half way through our day trip on the river filled with the typical water sports that come from being on the river in Barefoot Sanger with a 200 hp outboard. I miss that place too.
Btw, I heard a some point the island turned into a nude or semi nude beach because of its location and the city nit wanting to take charge of it, so it was kind of a free will kind of place.

Hi Chris, a few months ago I chatted with the Harbor master at Pirates lair Marina. He told me that a lady had purchased it from a location in Bethel Island. She had already called Windmill Cove and told them it was a house boat and she just wanted a berth. However, a definition of a Delta house boat does not mean floating house. So after towing all the way down to Windmill Cove she was turned away. She ended up towing it to the location where we first saw it. It was getting beat up on the main channel so again she had it towed and parked it across from Pirates Lair Marina. She told the Harbor Master not to have it towed away because she was trying to find another marina for it. Well that never happened, A high tide set it up on the bank, and the low tide angled it so much that it sunk. A salvage boat did come out and removed the wreck. Since she is the official owner she is responsible for the salvage costs. Anyway that's the story from the Harbor Master.
