The different back on the damage decks is intentional. They're not meant to be combined, only one or the other used. That's been in the tournament FAQ since the FA set launch. Just today they updated to allow a choice of decks instead of forcing the new deck.
I like the 2012 rules of play better than 2015 learn to play. the attack example is more indicative of actual play, they describe the components and card anatomy.
Robert Keick sadly I was forced to buy the crap awakens set because my local game store didn't have the original and I just wanted to play without waiting for an order so now I'm gonna get the original another time ☺

The back of a TIE Fighter isn't the engine, it's a viewport. The engines are too small to add them into the detail

Not on the T-70. Mine are fixed. I saw foiled that close but don’t know what model that is. Perhaps someone else can chime in and let us know?
