    I think you’re right about the bleached hair + heat being a major issue.
    The bleached pieces of my hair stayed straight permanently multiple times after straightening while the dark half underneath is tight healthy curls…. I thought was was just me. 🤦🏾‍♀️
    I legit have short wavy light layer on top of longer, thicker dark curls. 😢
    I’ve stopped straightening until the end of summer. Braids It is !

    • @moniescurls
      @moniescurls  2 роки тому

      Actually my hair was never bleached just hair dye. But yes chemicals in your hair plus heat literally leads to disaster but as long as u stop straightening things get better. This video is old lol my hair is 100% back healthy, curly and very long

    So I don't have to cut my bangs? I realized I had heat damage because my bangs were suddenly past my eyes and I look emo now. But I REALLY don't want to cut it because I had a meltdown after getting bangs in the first place. I can't go through that again...

    • @moniescurls
      @moniescurls  3 роки тому +5

      No you don’t have to cut your hair just do protein treatments and deep treatments until your hair begins to get back healthy . Cutting is just optional , I only cut a few straight pieces off

    My hair use to be very big and curly. Even when I would blow it out straight, it would curl right up after a good wash. Now my hair doesn’t curl. It’s more wavy than curly. Felt like it happened from one day to the next… so will definitely look into this treatment and update u on the results…

    Be careful ordering these products from Amazon. I have used these products since I was in high school and it revived my hair 100% but i know what its supposed to smell like and be like. When my products came they weren’t what I was used to, so I called the company and they said they cannot verify that the products are real. So i just stick to going to Sallys, my local beauty store or ordering directly from them online. I’m not surprised your hair looks good after 7 weeks, sounds about right. I swear by it! 😊

    • @moniescurls
      @moniescurls  4 роки тому +3

      Yess I swear by them tooo , I’ve also heard about amazon selling fake products I just didn’t think they were doing it so frequently . I’m glad u brought that up I’m gonna change the Amazon links to Sally’s links instead❤️

    • @KC-ed1dj
      @KC-ed1dj 2 роки тому

      This is true!! Lots of fake products on Amazon. If the brand doesn't have an "official" store on Amazon, I won't buy anything from there. Don't buy hair productsfrom random Amazon 3rd party sellers. Amazon is all about the $$$$ and seems to turn a blind eye and not monitor sellers as much as they should when it benefits them.

    Thank you for this video ❤️ I’m definitely going to try this because my curls are so damaged! I just searched the products and apparently the texture treatment has dimethicone in it so I’m not sure if it’s recommended. Can I still get the same results by using only the 2 minute reconstructor? 💖💖

      @moniescurls  3 роки тому +1

      I’m not 100% sure if you will because the texture treatment was stronger for my hair and gave me pretty fast results but they both are great treatments. Protein is protein tho if you keep up with it you should see your curls coming back

    I had bleach damage and it looked like that. Now I had heat damage and what's left of the bleach damage. I've cut it 3x now. The hair on top and the front is the worst. It falls straight. Not pin straight but wavy. The hair in back and under isn't so bad because it's the shortest so the damage gets cuts off in full. Now my curls start at 2b to 3b. The used to be 3a to 3c. I’m back lol and have another question so for me do you think I would need all 3 products ? I only heat damaged my hair for maybe 2-3 months ? Also on the very first day when you were transitioning did you put all 3 products in that first day or ?

    • @moniescurls
      @moniescurls  3 роки тому +3

      Yes I start using all 3 the first day , I was very confident it would work out for me. And yes you should probably use all 3 it’ll strengthen and moisturize your curls

      Just make sure to wash with sulfate shampoos if you use silicones. I avoid them too usually, but have to use them now as a few products have silicones that I need to use while recovering from heat damage. As long as you are not putting silicones on top of silicones on your hair and/or only cowashing, you should be okay. Moderation is key. Sulfates remove silicones. Sulfate-free shampoos aren't strong enough.
