Wow great job Simon! Great to see my hometown from your point of view. You managed to do such an amazing vlog in a place where it’s not easy to film, because of post soviet paranoia. Also was great to see Tim again. I’ve been working with him as a tour guide since 2016. Getting to know him was a life changer to me. About one year ago I moved to Warsaw. As you’ve mentioned, this place is too quiet and has not much to offer for young and ambitious people (except cheap alcohol). Yet I still recommend everybody to come visit this place. P.S. about the 'lady' getting pissed, it’s not Simon’s fault at all. Been yelled at by her, many times. It’s just a normal part of her day. Otherwise she’d be bored.
First thought: Bald is going to love this. Simon, your videos are awesome. They make me smile in these times when smiles are very much needed. I can think of a handful of people who would have had the times of their lives in that garage.
Maybe we do have garages in the UK with Nazi flags in but we don't see them ....only part I didn't like of the video if I'm honest Simon.. top bloke though for doing it 👍
Cool to see Tim again…and the Soviet characters I miss from travelling! I hadn’t realized the trolleybuses were that old. It always impressed me that no matter how full the trolleybus got, the ticket-seller could always spot the new people getting on. I really liked the discussion about the young guys suffering in the war. It made me appreciate how many people are heroes just by virtue of the traumatic memories they’ve managed to live with. Also liked the point about everything being shades of grey. Black and white thinking is at the heart of so many problems, and it’s only getting worse. Aside from the obvious implications, it also makes life, well, dull. So thank you guys for opening up the conversation!
@@garyjeffries1041 I was there recently. Apart from seeing military aircraft at Krakow airport there wasn’t many signs of issues. A demonstration in the square and that was it.

I loved this video, million thanks !!! I also love winter and snow, so it was a little funny to hear you complaining about how cold it was. In February 2006, when I was in Bender city, they had minus 42 Celsius - I loved it … to get inside a very warm and cozy home, coming with red cheeks and nose from the frost outside, is simply beyond words to describe the feeling. I love Transnistria and I don’t care if it is not recognized by others - I recognize it from all my heart. Those people are the best example of bravery I’ve ever seen. There was the only place I could still hear the old Romanian language, the language of Stephan The Great. That garage was impressive, it brought back memories from when I served in the Romanian army - it was an AK-47 I had in custody … that is Automatic Kalashnikov (Avtamat Kalashnikov) (19)47 model / 30 bullets chamber 7.62 millimeters caliber. Salutations also to Tim, whom I envy - in the most friendly way, of course, for living in that wonderful FREE country. I miss Transnistria so much. Salutations from a Romanian brother !!!
To be fair - many of those guns are readily available in SNG and middle east… it’s the license thats expensive…. But a lot of the other stuff was BIG money - i’d guess that place had easily 6 figures usd worth of stuff if split up
loved this vlog style. Also wanted to suggest you do a similar vlog in the UK, many of us are not from the UK and know very little about it. It would be cool just to see some shops, restaurants and people there. Maybe some landmarks like art galleries, castles, or churches.
