Dieses Video zeigt einige Ausschnitte meiner sechsten und hauptsächlich siebenten Reise nach Nordkorea, diese Tour führte ich erneut als Gruppenreise für befreundete deutsche Straßenbahnfans durch. Die hier zu sehenden Szenen sind nur nebenbei entstanden, da ich mich hauptsächlich der Fotografie widme...dennoch dürften diese Einblicke für den Interessierten Nahverkehrsfreund doch wieder von Interesse sein. Geboten waren wieder über zehn Fotosonderfahrten mit Straßenbahnen und Oberleitungsbussen durch Pyongyang. Die Sommerlichen Videoclips sind aus der Septemberreise des Jahres 2018 und die winterlichen Eindrücke stammen aus meinem Januarbesuch.

Skanzen? :D V Brně to pořád jezedí... nemusíme kritizovat z principu úplně všechno z KLDR... vidíte tam například hladovějící lidi? já ne...
@@luckerhdd3929 Ono je těžký si tam natočit hladovějící lidi, když všechny záběry, který tam pořídíte projdou kontrolou :D (Za předpoladu, že byste utekl svému průvodci a dostal se mezi normální lidi)
LuckerHD: Je to starsi technika no :) A hladovějící lidi ani nemůžu vidět tam žádní ani nemohou být. Socialismus je systém, který je zaměřen na vymýcení hladu. Když krachl v devadesátých letech tak v choasu skutečně hlad byl.. Ale je to před třiceti lety, ale propaganda to stále líčí jako by tam hladověli, protože vědí že je mnoho lidí kteří to rádi spolknou jak mužeme vidět v komentáři nademnou.
as someone living in a post soviet country the reason i am so interested in north korea because it looks like hungary in an alternate universe, or 80s hungary transported into the current year, down to the public transport. a "north korean" scene in an american series was filmed in my neighbourhood. it was really believeable, the directors only needed to add some flags lmao

These trams are from the Czech Republic all - the former Czechoslovakia
Tatra trams, for all Sovietic like communist countries (and in URSS). Solid trams.
Czech trams are best, our new trams in Kiev, Ukraine is a bit strange.... :) Tatra is simply amazing :)

Nice pretty modern city with new skycrapers etc. Absolutely no mess, no garbage on streets, no homeless weirdos, no damage, no grafiti. This is how it could be.

This city got a lots of modernisation in these few years, and it takes me very happy. New trolleys, trams, and a bit modernisation in the underground section too, i saw the new type train. Pyongyang has a safety and comfortable public transport in 2018.

i always wonder how this country is poorer than most of africa and yet they have better and more efficient infrastructure. It's also cleaner and looks more organized.
Because only few people have cars there. So it looks organized and clean.

Has to do with strong authoritarian governments, alot of poor African countries are very corrupt, very little is put into infrastructure

But still, Pyongyang has 5 million inhabitants, 20% of the total population, living in pretty good standards (considering the country's poor economy). And the other cities are not bad either, so in general the citizens of north korea have a good standard of living, again, considering how poor the country is.
That is not true of other poor countries which have market economies, and are exploited by imperialist nations, such as Laos, Cambodia, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Haiti, etc. These countries are a mess

I find one thing interesting. Obviously North Korea mandates turning on headlights during the day. All automobiles and trams run with headlights on. But those trolleybuses never have lights on, even at night! I can't help wondering if those headlights are fake.

This whole video reminds me when I lived in Berlin before the Wall came down. I was in the West and could go over the East with my Parents (British Army). The greyness mute colours and the sense of cold just brings it back.
A model city with clean air, NO garbage and order. My kind of town.

Under one of these videos I could read as reason that the power supply is limited by western sanctions, and which therefore drive so slowly. But I can't confirm whether this is really the case.

Such beautiful views, the changing of season was really cool to see. Was this a specialized tour for lovers of transport? I swear I've never seen a tour video include so much of it, and allow the group to just sit and film it on the street or a station.

Poor trams, they (and the tracks as well) seem to be in quite a bad shape and so slow compared to their modernized siblings still in service in Czech Republic. But what to expect from a totalitarian state... At least it revives my childhood memories of trams in post-communist Czechia in early 1990s.
...please think about when you compare North Korea with states in Europe...some points are missing!

Maybe I can help you. Each of these stars stands for 50,000 kilometers without accident of the vehicle.

I'm surprised that the trams had decorative lights at night! I thought North Korea had trouble producing sufficient electricity and wouldn't even consider decorative lights!

I find it odd that the headlights on the rear subway car were left on, instead of red tail lights!
For the most part NK is good with electricity, just blackouts at night.
@@stubbypepperroni2357 Wrong. Night is when lights are mostly needed. Remember also, this is Pyongyang , virtually a country within a country. Not really NK, that's why we don't see videos of other parts of NK.

Because at the time they were bought China was rural wasteland and Soviet trams were nail buckets with wheels. Even the Soviet Union imported Czech Tatras for its major cities.

yes, i travel there every year. As visitor you make a normal holiday and can doo nice sightseeing! Iam interest for puplic-transport, so i spend my time mostly in this area :-) . But you can do a lot, its very nice there and other than mostly people say.
Yep thanks for the anwser :) and one more thing i was thinking about is, how does recording video in public works, are there some things you're not allowed to record or can you recort every place available for public?
why not record? :-) its a normal country and everybody make pictures and videos there :-) ... its no problem.
From other people that went there they say you can't record military personnel/stuff or areas where the guide says not to.
Their public transport doesn't look too shabby, it's a pleasant surprise

@@danielhoffmann67 Ich denke dass es einfacher wäre auf deutsch zu schreiben. Also zum Thema "Freiheit in Nordkorea" will ich mich nicht zu weit aus dem Fenster lehnen, das wäre wohl etwas übertrieben. Doch ich muss ganz ehrlich sagen, dass sich die Situation unter Kim Jong Un schon sehr verbessert hat. Ich war schon 9x in Nordkorea, dies über mehrere Monate und ich habe schon vieles auch außerhalb der Hauptstadt gesehen. Natürlich ist es in der Provinz etwas einfacher...doch es tut sich wirklich sehr viel. Die Infrastruktur wächst und gedeiht, es wird sehr viel für die Erziehung und Bildung getan und man spürt (vor Corona) wirklich Jahr für Jahr große Veränderungen in die positive Richtung. Freilich ist es ein großer Unterschied zu unserem Alltag, doch man sollte nie vergessen dass Nordkorea nichtmehr das aus dem Jahre 1990 ist, was unsere medien versuchen unseren Westvölkern vorzuspielen. Ich habe das Glück dort etwas Freiheit gegenüber anderen Touristen zu genießen...gerade beim abendlichen wandeln durch verschiedene Bierlokale kommt man doch sehr oft mit der einfachen Bevölkerung in Kontakt. Ich sehe da viele Parallelen wie es uns auch damals zu DDR-Zeiten erging. Wir waren damals auch etwas "speziell", aber auch nicht unzufrieden.
@@KT4Dani Vielen Dank für diese ausführliche Antwort. Da Du ja regelmässig nach Nordkorea reist und Kontakte dorthin hast, glaube ich Dir absolut, dass sich dort vieles zum Besseren gewandelt hat. Und vermutlich kann man unseren westlichen Medien durchaus vorwerfen, zum einen das Land Nordkorea und seine Kultur nicht wirklich zu verstehen und zum anderen in ihrer Berichterstattung nicht auf dem aktuellen Stand bzw. auf dem Stand von 1990 stehengeblieben zu sein. Und klar, es ist auch bequem, einfach vorhandene Stereotypen zu bedienen. Was ich aber für eine sehr steile These halte, ist deine Behauptung, dass hier dem westlichen Publikum irgendetwas "vorgespielt" werden soll. Ich bezweifle übrigens auch ganz stark, dass "der Westen" überhaupt der DPRK irgendetwas Böses will. Eher ist es umgekehrt, wobei das m.E. nicht an einem grundsätzlich bösen Willen der Regierung unter Kim Jong Un liegt, sondern daran, dass diese grundsätzlich "den Westen" gar nicht versteht, so wie ja auch "der Westen" das Regime in Pyönyang nicht wirklich versteht. Also, meine These ist eigentlich, dass die aktuellen Krisen und Probleme mit Nordkorea auf gegenseitigem Unverständnis beruhen. Und daran haben beide Seiten ihren Anteil.

its surprising...but in northkorea the transport in last years get better and better. actual its in my opinion better than in some cities in UA and also RUS.

Чем же лучше? Тем что пассажиров больше? У них нет альтернативы! Состояние трамвайных путей катастрофическое, вагоны идут качаясь из стороны в сторону и громыхая. Возможно лучше чем во многих российских городах, но не лучше чем в Москве...
@@Igorp133 Не лучше чем в Москве это да, но даже в Москве пути не самые лучшие и они все еще закупают старые мурманские стрелки, которые переводятся ломиком. К тому же в Москов Сити уничтожают траллики

Ich muss gestehen, dass ich am neidischsten auf deinen Trip nach Belgrad bin. Das wäre mein nächstes Ziel.
Die KT4 dort faszinieren mich sehr!
Außerdem wollte ich die Reise mit einer Tour nach Zagreb verbinden - allerdings habe ich mit Erschrecken festgestellt, dass es dort wohl keine Tatras mehr geben soll?!

Hy, keine Angst. Zagreb ist für Tatra-Freunde immernoch eine gute Adresse! Dort fahren nämlich aktuell immernoch herrliche T4YU-B4YU im absoluten Originalzustand! KT4YU gibt es auch noch, jedoch größtenteils modernisiert. Der Betrieb besteht zwar insgesamt aus fast zwei dritteln Niederflurbahnen, aber das eine Drittel Tatra lohnt sich in jedem Fall. Weitere Neufahrzeuge sind nach wie vor nicht in Sicht.
Dazu kommen noch die letzten urigen einheimischen Produkte von Duro Dakovic.
Einfach mal Googeln ;-)

Habe nun fast alle NK-Videos von dir durchgeschaut...
PyongYang ist eigentlich der Traum jedes grünen Stadtplaners, wenig Autos.viel ÖPNV und der auch noch größtenteils elekktrisch...
Die Stadt wirkt viel sauberer als deutsche Großstädte und die deutschen Großstädte brauchen nicht mehr lange dan haben sie die Straßenqualität Nordkoreas...
Du glaubst doch auch nicht dass Touristen die dreckigen Ecken zu sehen bekommen oder?
Diese Land lebt von der Kohlen Industrie und hat einer der schmutzigsten luft auf der Welt. Hab auch mal gedacht die sind Umweltbewusst aber ist auf eis gelegt dieser Gedanke

Was mich auch interessiert...Ist bekannt, was diese Drähte auf dem Dach vom 1. und letzten Wagen sind?
Und warum sind hinten die Frontscheinwerfer an?
Ja es ist denen bekannt, dass es Berliner Wagen waren. Man schmunzelt dort sogar über die Langeweile der deutschen, dass bei uns die Scheiben zerkratzt wurden. Die Drähte auf dem Dach sind Funkantennen und die Scheinwerfer am Heck sind eine Art Zugsicherung.
@@KT4Dani Ist das eigentlich immer noch so, dass man sich dort nur mit "Aufpasser" frei bewegen kann, oder ist das Land tatsächlich auf einem guten Weg, sich der Welt zu öffnen?
Es werden zwei Reiseleiter bei jeder Reise dabei sein...diese können aus verschiedenen Bereichen kommen. Bei meinen Touren übernehmen gute Freunde diese Funktion.

Je vidět,že vůdce to má pevně v rukách,ač často staré stroje tak udržované,ne jako na Ukrajině,to je někdy bizzár...
Vidím to podobne. Netuším ako sú po technickej stránke, hoci na základe toho divného škrípania hluku asi nič moc ale vyleštené a čisté. A ešte jedna vec, čo sa mne osobne páči: majú tam niekoľko druhov farieb vozidiel (červené, zelené, modré) v kombinácii s bielou. Toto by sa mne páčilo hoci aj v BA.
Die Hersteller der neueren Fahrzeuge würde mich interessieren... Die ehemaligen Berliner U- Bahnen des Typs ,, D" und die Tatrabahnen der 60er bis 80er Jahre kennt man ja noch...
Der Hersteller der Metro ist 김종태 전기 기관차 작품 / Kim Jongt’ae Chŏn’gi Kigwanch’a Chakp’um. Die Straßenbahnen stammen aus der eigenen Hauptwerkstatt.
@@KT4Dani Weisst du, wer die Trolleybusse hergestellt hat? Glaube, dass es dieses Modell nirgendwo sonst auf der Welt gibt.
@@kavelab699 Die O-Busse werden in der lokalen Trolleybusfabrik hergestellt. Diese Typen verkehren in mehreren koreanischen Betrieben.

You mean the ones on the sides in front? Those are turn signals to tell drivers on the roads that the tram is about to turn, brake, or reverse.

warum schleicht die Tram so durch die Gegend? Stromversorgungsprobleme?
Hm sag mal kommt mir das so vor das in deinem Video von vor 1 oder 2 Jahren wesentlich mehr Autos unterwegs waren sieht für mich so aus oder täusch ich mich?. Und was mir hier bei einigen Nacht Szenen aufgefallen ist das die Straßen alle ziemlich Dunkel sind bzw die Laternen nicht an sind. Das war in dem Video vor 1 oder 2 Jahren auch anders da waren die Latern recht oft an.
Diese Szenen der Bahn entstanden oft an der Kwangbok-Straße, welche ja durch die Vorortsiedlung recht leer ist. Innerstädtisch wächst das Autoaufkommen von Jahr zu Jahr. Etwas schade für den Fotograf, doch den Leuten wünscht man es nun auch :-)
Aso ok dachte nämich das es irgent was gibt was das Aufkommen beschränkt oder nich jeder ein Auto haben darf z.b.
Und was hat es mit den Laternen auf sich das sie da wohl nicht an waren kein Strom da oder andere Gründe weißt du da was?

Is it possible for you to make a video from other cities, not just Pyongyang? I think there might be some other trolley/tram networks, It would be interesting to see, if it's possible.. :)
In other cities iam make pictures first for archive. this videos are only by the way. In pyongyang i have a lot of pictures and nearly compleete fleet, so i have time to make movies. From other cities i have only 2-3 scenes, this is not enought for a video.
It would be awsome next time you to make a film about PYG old and new flat elevators.....
Didn't you have trouble to film that? I mean, rumor has it North Korea doesn't like very much to be filmed...
Northkorea have changed very much...its very open and you can film everywhere...no problem since some years! Its only our western medie, which try to explain the old times. :-)
Various news reports about photographers' actions in DPRK showed that there are specialized tour guides to prevent you from taking photos of secrets or something "bad", but some said that these restrictions are vanishing. Maybe taking some pictures about trams or buses is no longer regarded as something prohibited.
:D ... this are stupid media! I was there 7x and every time its free for filming and to make pictures. But somebody will talk "mystic" about DPRK and than such stories are talked, that filming is prohibited. :-)
Glad to hear that DPRK is changing by now. By your video I could see that Pyeongyang is a really beautiful city, with such a mystic aura. I would really love to visit it someday, and hearing that taking pictures is no longer a problem encourages me to do so

This is a false rumour created by idiots who do not understand the rules, you can film/photograph and always could film/photograph virtually everything in DPRK, *EXCEPT* military personnel, equipment and bases without permission, this one rule is what idiots who go to DPRK and films military personnel and have their camera confiscated complains about, because they do not understand such a simple rule, its mostly Americans who does this they do it on purpose just to get in trouble those retards.
The sound the pantographs make when rubbing the overhead lines is painful to hear. Sounds like the lines are rusty.

Was mir in diesen Aufnahmen aufgefallen ist, das soalle Trams in gewissen abschnittsbereichen den Stromabnehmer vom Fahrdrat gezogen wird, ist es denn so bekannt warum dieses dort gemacht werden muss?
Das betrifft Kurven oder Richtungswechsel. Der Fahrdraht ist nicht so oft abgespannt wie bei uns, daher ist der Fahrdraht je nach thermischen Einflüssen nicht immer direkt über dem Gleis. Um Probleme zu vermeiden, wird in kritischen Bereichen der Stromabnehmer vorsorglich abgezogen...achte im Video an entsprechenden Stellen einmal auf die Lage der Oberleitung.

Das Wetter ist ähnlich wie bei uns in Deutschland...jedoch sind die Winter etwas kälter und die Sommer tlw. etwas wärmer. KLimatisierung ist dort super! Es gibt KEINE Klimaanlagen, sondern jeder Tatra hat große Schiebefenster, die bei den langen Fahrten ohne Haltestellen für einen tadellosen Luftaustausch sorgen! :-)

Yes, trams get very good last years. they do now very much at vehicles! :-) The traffic-ladies are not more at work...the cartraffic is to much and at every place you have now traffic-lights.

No, this older trolleybusses are complete out of service..this years are over and northkorean Chollima 091 in service...also next generations of 316 and 321.

Sehr schöne Aufnahmen! Durftest du das komplette U-Bahn System erkunden oder durftest du nur auf die normalen Touristen beschränkten Stationen sehen und befahren?
Das U-Bahnsystem habe ich schon 3x komplett abgefahren. Einmal Privat und je einmal bei meinen zwei letzten Gruppenreisen. Es gibt keine "für normale Touristen zugängliche Stationen". Die Fahrt zwischen zwei oder fünf Stationen gehört in das Standartprogramm, welche viele Reiseagenturen ohne weitere Aufwände einfach dazubuchen...so entsteht der Eindruck, dass der andere Teil "verboten" ist. Allerdings ist es das nicht, man muss nur weitere Verträge machen (natürlich mit etwas Aufwand), doch dann ist auch das weitere Streckennetz kein Hinderniss! :-) Ich habe für meine Gruppen gern immer verschiedene Mehrarbeit, denn das lohnt sich am Ende bei einer Reise dorthin schon! :)

Észak-korea különleges, de sok normális életük van, barátságos és nyitott emberek és jó dolgok vannak.
