I love your different meals. This Midwest Farmer's Daughter from Indiana doesn't do fish unless it's breaded and doesn't smell. This Ole girl would have to open her horizon. On the farm Dad raised beef cattle and it was a family affair to cut, wrap, and package. Dad called me in college and asked me to come home to do beef. It was a multiple family deal and we did 3 full beefs. And then there was chickens. Our sweet neighbors got 100 most years. You always make me smile
If you marinate your fish in 7-Up before cooking, it helps take the smell away.

My sister got a Speed Queen washer and dryer as a wedding gift from our Mimi. That was 30+ years ago, she can only say good things!
I love my speed queen washer and dryer. I got rid of my front loading LQ. Had nothing but problems with them.
I got a SQ about 7 years ago, I love it, I wash my hubbys work clothes in it, he an auto mechanic, talk about dirty clothes. Love top loaders with an agitator. 😊
Yes! Speed Queen is what you want. They last for years and other brands are made cheap.
We also have a speed queen set , about 10 yrs old currently , love it !

I had a Speed Queen washer and dryer in Anchorage. Was around 15 yrs old only one repair. We left with the house when we retired & moved.
Bought a Maytag here, Speed Queen had gone commercial sales only. motor burned out in a month.
Some yrs ago I found them at a local appliance store, making for the public again. and yes a set is expensive but I LOVE them. I don't think they're available at big box stores. Go to a smaller locally owner business.

I have seen them at Allen and Peterson and Spenard Builders. I am just not ready to make that big of a purchase again. Hoping my washer and dryer will shape up and keep running now that we have past the warranty!

After I had our "new" Cabrio washer/dryer repaired for the third time in the first 7 years, I mentioned to the repairman that it wasn't holding up well. The repairman told me almost all machines are built with planned obsolescence on the machines, and that planned life is just 7 years--for a nearly $2,000 set!!! He said the Speed Queen is best, has a 7-year warranty for everything, and the ability to raise the water level all the way up so you actually can get whites white! We've had our new Speed Queens for several months now and almost daily my husband or I comment what a great purchase that was, how much cleaner the clothes are, how they are done in just 35 minutes of washing, how it wasn't much more expensive that our last three 7-year sets, etc. You won't regret a Speed Queen--as I like to say, it's like going back in time 25 years, to when things did not break, were covered by warranties, and actually did what they were created to do--like keep whites white! Don't miss having our appliance repairman on speed dial, either!
That is exactly what I am talking about. I wish I had realized when I purchased my new ones. I would have spent more to have them last. It is so crazy that such huge appliances would not be made to last long term. We have had so many problems!
The octopus!😱 I have a friend who is a dietitian and her son is currently studying at the Culinary Institute of America in New York. She eats all kinds of interesting foods. She is working on broadening my horizons in regards to international cuisine. We have Thai and Puerto Rican foods so far. I have a new appreciation for the versatility of plantain.
I shopped today at a local store here in Tennessee, for stir fry items. Fresh chicken and fresh vegetables. Squash, zucchini, mushrooms, peppers, onion. I bought a bottle of shrimp sauce, mini pizza 2 of those, pork chops ummm that’s it. $107.00. Wow. One meal, kinda.
The flowers outside the house look very healthy and pretty! 👍😉
The hookless shower curtains are so great--easy up/easy down for washing.
I also have the shelving for the black/yellow containers. They work great!
Way to go Everett, celebrating for a whole week.

Speed queen is totally worth the money and last forever, i inherited my grandparents speed queen and its almost 13 years still working
That is what I have heard! I should have gotten them!
Can't go wrong with Speed Queen. I bought one about 10 years ago because I just wanted something simple, no need for "bells and whistles" (that I never used). There were three different models and I got the middle priced one. So far, (knock on wood), I haven't had the first issue. When you get a computerized washer/dryer and have a big power surge or lightning hit, you will likely need to replace the computer insides/mother board. Also, gears in 90% of these appliances today are a type of plastic, Speed Queen has a metal product. To make it even better, they are made in the USA! I'll never get anything else.

Ok, so we had our whole home done with Samsung, the TVs are good, but we've had better luck with Sharp Aquos. As far as everything else, hate Samsung. From several appliance people we've had, they are designed to break several times over three years. We now always go with Whirlpool or Maytag, but we cheaped out and went with a top loading LG washer for clothers, $400 and it is noisy but works great. Last salesman said either buy a $400 one and replace every 3 to 4 years or buy a speed queen. We love your videos and have family in Homer, Anchorage, and Kodiak Island. Love the family and all, jeep up the great videos and thank you!

Another great video Happy Birthday to the sample King!! I seen the cribbage board on your table. That was one of my late husband's favorite games. Baby Violet is growing so fast. Can't believe she's already big enough to sit in a high chair. My youngest granddaughter one time when she was in the hospital A friend brought her one of those big bears through her many surgeries that bear is been like a prop for her to set up in bed.
The swing into the lake brings many memories rolling in, so much fun!

Living 3 1/2 hours away from a Costco, and having 7 months of winter, sometimes a Uhaul is necessary, once a year, to stock up for hibernation...lol! Put a chilled-down chest freezer in the back, and at least the freezer food makes it home. Wheel it out of the back, plug it in, and you're good to go...lol.😊 Also, the perfect time to get large items that won't fit in the SUV.
