The more I see, the more convinced I am that the last man standing will be carrying a $175 Mosin and wearing a Monsters Inc book bag that someone’s 7 year old left in a bus stop
I doubt the last survivors in any scenario are gonna be the preppers. They look too well prepared and geared up and would quickly become a priority target vs people who look like they have barely anything.
I found a wisperlite stove it looked barely used came with wind screen and mirro backpacking cook set came with cook pot a bowl a pot grabber and 2 cups and a Stanley classic vacuum sealed water bottle that comes with cup included and a targus gamer backpack and it opens clamshell got all at the thrift store/ goodwill. Of I bought new I would have paid over 200 dollars. I walked out of the thrift store paying 30 dollars then the store was 50% off and I paid 15.99. I keep telling people to keep their eyes out on the thrift store. Even though it is from the thrift store people may have not wanted it or someone died and they wanted to get rid of it. Like I tell people never under estimate a thrift store. Have a great day 😁
Man if you like titanium..... you have to check out the stoves from bushcraft essentials.....I started out with a stainless steel one... then upgraded to a titanium version its that good!!!! Its light portable packs flat requires no assembly.... its really a great pack stove... highly recommend it
Great video. Been looking for a more subdued pack, my Eberlestock Halftrack has served me well, spent many weekends out with it but have had many comments about how military it looks. This is now top on my want list after Christmas.
Only thing I worry about with this, it's quite small at 33L. It's probably fine for a summer weight BoB, but the real problem for winter is there's not enough space for a winter sleep system. My summer weight bag is a 35L, and could probably squish into this, but would want something more for winter.
I’m sure you will figure out a way to make it work. 33L is plenty IMHO. Go as light as possible and minimal-the true purpose of a BOB. This backpack checks just about all the boxes. For the record I live in some harsh weather during the Winter months. My suggestion? Rethink your sleep system.
@@amgolfer3591 not as easy as you say when it can hit -45 Celcius for days on end and some people work over 200-300 kms from home. Some may need to bunker down for a few days even before trekking home.
@@turtlewolfpack6061 I hear you my friend. Most of us will not face those temps or distances. Knowing a few skills can save a life-like building a super shelter. But it takes time if which can be difficult. 33L IMHO is adequate for most. I stand by this. If it’s bigger, one better make sure they can handle the walking of long distances in extremes temps. So many factors to look at.
@@amgolfer3591 that is why there is no one size fits all and having the family on board with a plan and two more alternate plans is a good idea. If one works in Nevada 5 miles from home, a small 5 liter bag is lots, maybe, but an oilfield worker in Northern Canada that works away for extended periods sometimes over 600 kms from home may have other needs.
@@turtlewolfpack6061 Ok, Turtle. Many different scenarios. 33L is perfect for me and in harsh elements. Not as harsh as yours. Glad I’m here and not on Canada. Have a wonderful Sabbath Day. Peace my friend.
The vertx is a very nice bag, they even have a deal with premier body armor for panels that fit their bags. But your gonna pay for it, the vertx is 3x the cost of the la police gear bag.
A PROPER hip belt to take the weight off your shoulders is a must for me. By the time you put water in that pack , how much room is really left? How long could you survive?
It is "supposed" to hold whatever can fit. 😂. If it was just for a bump helmet then they wasted their time putting the hook and loop and molle panel in there. Hint it's not just for a bump helmet.
not sure I would call it bug out bag... seems limited maybe get home bag. I don't care if I look tactical, because if I ever use it, I got a gun in hand don't love it, to be honest
Thank you for sharing another informative video. What is the cost of this Vertx pack and where can it be purchased? I like it a 😂 lot. I also like the compact little stove. Stay safe out there. 🤗 👋
I ditched my vertx stuff 2yr ago when I found hillpeoplegear. Their stuff fits everything I need just like you. Try them out. ++ that they are 🇺🇸 made.

Only a fool would pay $175 for a mosin... Washington State gun shows....$65 for a working 7.62x54r mosin.
well, may the war gods rain 7.62 x 54R in the end then.
@@Jimmynitro76 Lol, till Washington State passes a law requiring you to use a biometric lock on your Mosin to be legal in the state...

Gotta remember all that money preppers spend on what if could be spent on what will instead.
Great video. This is on my Christmas wish list

I gotta get around to bugging out one of these days but i keep forgetting to.
Great review on the bag 👍🏻 I may have to buy one
Great video. Thanks

Great video. I like the versatility of that pack. What is the extra pouch that you purchased called? The smaller interior pouch
Tactigami pouch
Ot looks like nice bag.
I believe that’s the Gamut 2.0, I’ve had one for a while, Vertx makes great bags, I have three, a sling, shoulder bag and the Gamut.
The overland is just like the gamut just bigger. There is also the Basecamp, same thing just a different size.
Great looking pack and review , thanks for sharing , God bless !
Hired a guy whose soul, 40 hr a week job was replacing broken zippers. Nice video, thank you.
Great review. Please tell me the size of the pack cover you have. The varusteleka site shows 22L 70L and 110L, currently out of stock.
Not sure bought it second hand
Interested in the Ti Stove. Can you link that?

I believe this is the Vertx GAMUT EDC Bag.
Nice bag.
No it’s the overland
My bad.
They do look alot alike.
Good review.
@@rickparish2908they are the same just different sizes. There is also the basecamp, it is even bigger.
Savotta makes the best packs
I currently own the LA Police gear 72H bag that you previously recommended. How does the bag you reviewed compare in size and weight to this one?
I think it’s lighter

I think the "beavertail" flap is supposed to be to hold a bump helmet.
It can

How many packs do you have now Wendell? 🤔 🤣🎒🎒🎒🎒🎒🎒
Too many! But I keep getting rid of them and trying new ones
Where do you carry your axe, or your machete?🤷🏿♂️
Coloca a legenda faz favor !
Yeah but guy muh dude, how many dollars it be?
looks a little too small.
Sweet pack but Gimmie one in 50 liters...
not sure I would call it bug out bag... seems limited
maybe get home bag.
I don't care if I look tactical, because if I ever use it, I got a gun in hand
don't love it, to be honest
And it’s only $200 on Amazon
Do you have a link for this pack? Does it have a specific name or is it called just Vertx SHTF?
It's called Vertx Overland
Thank you for sharing another informative video. What is the cost of this Vertx pack and where can it be purchased? I like it a 😂 lot. I also like the compact little stove. Stay safe out there. 🤗 👋
I put a link in the description
