What I love about the Blake and Yang scene is them showing initiative and showing that they are their own people. They know that this whole conflict between Robyn and Ironwood is a result of mistrust, set up, manipulation, and secrecy. They also know that Ironwood and Robyn are just doing what they both think is right. So they decide to stop this pointless and potentially very dangerous conflict by just telling Robyn enough to get her to stop attacking the convoys without revealing Ironwood’s whole plan. This is important as the conflict only wastes time, energy, resources, and raises negative emotions for the citizens so no one was really going to win if it went on any longer. And this makes sense for both of Blake and Yang. Yang has spent her entire life being lied to and wants to keep things out in the open. Meanwhile, Blake does normally want to remain secretive but after being reminded too much of Adam and the dark path he went down on(a well intentioned rebel who started getting increasingly more violent as bodies began to pile up, leading to his snap and his demise) she wants to make sure that she can prevent Robyn from going down the same path.

11:42 I never noticed before that patches of Pietro's aura are missing when he flashes it up like that, and I've rewatched this show a few times now. Always some new detail to catch!
You know, I've never noticed until now that all of Ozpin's Lieutenants are losing all of the things their inspirations gained in the original story. Lionheart lost his courage and Ironwood is slowly losing his heart. I wonder if that means that Qrow will eventually start to lose his mind, too. Hmm, some things are starting to make sense now.
Your semblance is a physical manifestation of your Aura. And because your Aura is a physical manifestation of your soul. So its speculated in and outside of RWBY that your identity defines your semblance. Which would make sense with it manifesting from the soul.
My favourite thing about Blind Wave is that half the time they are extremely perceptive and half the time they are completely oblivious and you never quite know which one you’re going to get, but it’s okay because they are always hilarious. Diffidently my favourite reaction channel!
They’re not telling about Salem yet because they’re not prepared for the Grimm yet, they intend to do atlas first then the rest of the world once atlas calms down
The thing I love most about this episode is the conversation between Yang and Blake in the truck. The two of them are in near perfect sync, but it's impossible to avoid disagreements. When Blake aired her disagreements with Adam, he was quick to brush aside her feelings without even listening to what she was saying. He would personally attack her and belittle her into thinking that she was the problem. It's hard to catch on the first watch, but you can see Blake closing herself off, wrapping her arms around herself, which she's done before when talking to Adam. She's really scared of being attacked as she was before and unconsciously makes herself seem smaller. But, Yang isn't Adam. She understands that Blake doesn't want to fight a fellow huntress, and especially not Robyn Hill, a huntress that Blake can easily relate to, a freedom fighter for the people and faunus. And, Yang would never force Blake into something she doesn't want to do. If you look closely, an especially tragic moment is when Yang makes the decision not to fight. You can see Blake's eyes widen in surprise. She's so used to being ignored that she really didn't think that her words would get through, but she knows she's talking to Yang and not Adam. Yang is the one that always listens to her partner, whether they agree or not.
You misunderstood the staff. It's not that it's floating atlus. It's the staff of creation, and basically is constantly producing the fuel keeping Atlus aloft.
So Salem gets the staff and Atlas falls and really does become part of Mantle again. And then she gets the lamp and Jinn remembers her when she uses the final question. Penny and Ruby vs Cinder, Neo finally does turn into Pyrrah, Oz sees Salem in person, and Raven and Tai break Qrow and Robyn out of prison. That’s what I NEED to happen tbh.
Honestly they should have been alternating payloads. Every other load of supplies should have gone to mantle and the rest to the tower. They could have fixed both problems if they worked together but everyone was too short sighted and paranoid in the wake of the string of murders going on.
Rewatching this, General Ironwood starts to sound more and more like General Shepherd from MW2... I mean he talked about losing his soldiers at Beacon wich is basically "Five years ago, I lost 30,000 men in the blink of an eye, and the world just fuckin' watched." or also "You're a good warrior, but you can never take that extra step to do what was absolutely necessary." wich may or may not make more sense in the following episodes... It also sticks with me even more when we know he commands the "most powerful military force in the history of man" and that for most of this volume he kinda "lies" his way through history... It kinda scares me if you know what Shepherd does in MW2. Lets just hope none of our favorite characters suddently decides to wear a skull balaclava to recover "one less lose end"...
I am curious about Robyn's semblance. Does it only detect the truth as the other party knows it? If Blake truly believed that he was trying to help is that the only factor? Or can she detect truth on a universally objective level, where someone says something and it is undeniably true regardless of opinion, true no matter the circumstances? If it's the first then you're limited by the perspective of the other party. But seeing as she's in a semi-brainwashed society I can't see how it could be the first. Otherwise why would she trust the perspective of Yang and Blake, who were Atlas and Ironwood agents on his missions? Keeps me up at night. Also pocket dimension semblance.
Ironwood has been stressed since the fall of Beacon, it's been wearing him down ever since. I was expecting a more sinister source of Penny's aura, like someone's soul trapped in a canister, being used as her aura's power source. This is mundane by comparison.

It's funny how the explanation on the staff makes some people think that if it is used for something else. Whatever it's used for just disappears. In reality. It can only be used for one thing at a time. Keeping Atlas afloat constantly is just a constant use of limitless energy so of course if it was removed by someone with a different thought Atlas would begin to fall. This brings on the theory that there will likely be a battle for the staff in which multiple characters will gain control of it and have things created. One of which will be Yang pulling a Nero and getting her arm back, which will undo the last of V4 and V5's terrible writing and complete mockery of her character and mentality.
been waiting for you to reach this episode to point this out: Because Penny's Aura is Pietro's that technically makes Penny A trans girl adding a deeper layer to her Pinocchio symbolism
Actually Ironwood's already not making any sense with his actions here. The original plan was to first tell Atlas, recover from the consequences of that, and then next tell the rest of Remnant. That means that the top priority should be to repair Mantle's walls. They don't need to build the Amity Tower until after weathering the storm.
except that would have risked someone destroying the tower in the meantime, if you could finish it and then move it out of reach, that takes care of a major weakness. especially since they know their enemy already is there.
@@HighPriestPlays Nobody would have had any reason to attack the tower before they even started building it. Salem's group didn't even know about it. In fact, the biggest risk to revealing it is when people start asking where the supplies for Mantle's walls are going. That wouldn't have been an issue if it was done the other way around.
@@Mirality the tower already existed, they didn't build it scratch. I doubt they even could build it from scratch. so even they focused on the walls and 'weathered the storm', they'd still end up doing this same song and dance of covertly shipping materials they're to convert, except it would of been vulnerable for even longer.
The tower doesn't already exist and they are building it from scratch -- just using the existing colisseum as a base. Nobody would consider that a target without knowing about the tower construction.

What??? No hate intended but I have never heard about Penny being trans before
Does a soul even have a gender? I'd like to think that souls are nuetral until a person identifies themself
