- 1997 Silverado with 5.7L Vortec CSFI. All stock internals. K&N Filter. Flowtech Shorty headers, stock head pipes, magnaflow cats, true dual 2.5" cat-back, no h-pipe/x-pipe, Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers, dumped at the corners (as you can see). Pretty quiet at idle and not very loud with revs but nice rumble.
Its a nice cool 97 degrees out and 63% humidity on this lovely late spring day in southeast Texas. Not that hot? Not really but its only 10am.
Hope yall like the vid. This was shot with a digital camera, so its not HD or anything. I didn't want to be like those guys that are like "I'm gonna stick my cell phone right next to the tip so its crappy quality AND you can't hear a damn thing, so its really gonna suck but I'm gonna post it on UA-cam anyway, durrr!"
No real noticable power gains maybe just a little better throttle response. It has the cermic ones because I wanted them to last. Installation was very easy but that's coming from a tech with a shop full of tools. Nothing had to be modified. They just bolted right up. Nice thing about the vortec is you don't have to cut up the power steering bracket. Getting the egr pipe started is a bit tricky but its all pretty easy.

Yesir. The turbo muffs are nothing more than quit glasspacks. As far as sound goes
Out of curiosity did they "break in" or get louder over time? I love the tone they have but I think I'd like it a little louder
my bro he have a silverado 2007 cat back exhaust from gm we bought it like this from us used but we use hp tuner to modified the power the sound is good not loud we bought a filter also with shield go Chevy !
I know the videos a little old but I have some questions about your Flowtech headers. Did you notice any power gains? Did you get ceramic coated or painted? Easy installation? Any problems? Sorry not trying to right a book just want to know if you like them before i buy mine haha. Thanks in advance
what size mufflers were the super turbos were they oval or the longer cyclinder ones i have a 1500 and i want a quiet exhaust i was gonna go with what you had but i dont want to get one thats to short and it be louder
i got a 98 1500 i want to put headers on did you notice any difference? and with the high flow cats did your check engine light come on? thanks

in 97 whats the set up for the motor? carb, EFi or TBI?
i like everything you have! sounds awesome! but, i think you would be better off with flowmaster man! get the flowmaster super 44's. you will not be sorry/ regret it!
