Wow, you guys actually blew my mind. I wasn't expecting this many views from this video but I'm very happy that it did get the number of views it did. This video is actually one of the videos I was looking to succeed in because I worked so hard on it. Even on the Quests almost mobile like graphics, you get so immersed in it that you really don’t notice the graphical downgrade at all. Whilst in intense gun fights with bullets flying at me right over my head as I’m physically laying prone on the ground for cover, my heart always races and I feel as if I’m there. Absolutely love this game
If you play on just quest 2 you should look at videos of PC Vr onward, it is insane

Onward is the best feeling fps in vr for me. I do wish they had something more chill mode like capture the flag and team deathmatch with respawn.
I mean they said that they went for a more realistic approach. If you wanted some more chill vibe fps games, you should try gun raiders. Pretty fun game, but some lobbies can have some annoying children, and that is what the mute button is used for.

@@realteabaggins I didn't die by friendly fire but mostly because one person killed marsoc the volk kills the wrong marsoc and so on and on
I have to agree, this game is actually really fun, and the people in it can be really funny sometimes
I love onward. I love the almost rainbow six siege resembling gameplay. And I like the customization. Definitely a really well made game. But I don't know why, I like Pavlov over onward. Maybe because I like quicker paced games or maybe of the bigger community made maps. But regardless it's a really good shooter that's a must have.

I agree with the insurgency sandstorm comparison. This game is compared a lot to ArmA and Squad which might be true but the class based system and the map size and just overall feel is definitely closer to insurgency. Also I'm trying to get myself a quest 2 this Christmas and Onward. What controller settings would you recommend changing from default? Nice vid btw!
It's mainly personal preference, so try some settings out and see what works on you best
Onward veteran here. I recommend changing your sprint to "outer edge", require knife input so you don't accidentally kill a downed teammate when you grab their knife instead of their syringe, watch on inside of dominant hand so you can check your watch without letting go of your weapon, disable weapon smoothing so that you can get snappier reactions, set scope smoothing to minimal.
@@Ashley-1917 what I have right that's been working is no smoothing at all, one click for sprint, grip/trigger, hold to grip and some other obvious things but I probably should change my movement to hand instead of head because I wanna be able to turn around
Onward is kinda expensive, but man it’s really worth the price. If you have a quest 2 and you play a lot of FPS games in any device, this is a must try.
I really hope they do gore system like pavlov.... i love both... gunfight for me is better on onward+sound but the community and tons of custome maps is a big + for pavlov and dont get me wrong everyday im in dilema what should i play lol they are both atleast for me the best shooters u cant get wrong with both 😎🔥

first time watching you and i really like your videos. But how active is the game compared to pavlov?
I'd say it's pretty active. You can find a match through the quick match system or handpick what servers you want through the server browser. Both ways are simple and fast, but I prefer using quick match.

onward is one of the best vr games because its the only shooter of this type and it works so well in vr
the game lacks alot of polish unfortunately and is far from perfect
if only we had some competition of other games like onward to force the Devs to do better
i love onward but it never has a discount , so i cant get friends to play it.

I remember when this game was awesome before the Oculus Quest 1.8 update. Now I get actually physically sick when I try to play it and see the crap graphics, crap sound, crap animations, crap maps and lack of features, like grabbing enemy weapons and ammunition. Everything is so bad now.
In Co-Op mode you have 18 points
I'm with you Onward is the best VR shooter I have ever played. If you get in a game with a team that works together it can be fun, intense and drain the battery of a full Quest 2 😁. I'm loving Turbine and the 2 new guns. If your looking for someone to play with send me a DM I will give you my gamer tag.

Review Contractors
Onward feels better to me then Boneworks. The gunplay is somehow more real to me and plus I don’t get sick. In Boneworks I get sick.
I get the appeal of Onward. It's more for mil-sim types. I prefer the more good-aim rewarding gunplay of pavlov personally.
Preferences are fine of course; but you need better aim and reaction combined just like most games unless you want to trade.
Going for headshots etc is cool and all but it’s no where in the realm of realistic something a lot of newer games have gotten away from for the more scifi side of war

Gun raiders is bad no bolt
The problem of this game is just the invasion of kids spoiling the game. The game is realistic that means hard. The most of kid have no the experience that and adult person can get playing so they do whatever the kids do spoil the games until you get kick. It's ok and I dont hesitate to vote yes to kick a kid cause the 99% spoil the game. And this game is not designed for kids. Go to contracts or Pavlov o population one those one are more casuals and doesn't matter if you are kid.

This game is filled with toxic players alot more than other games and is really exploitable and those 2 things do not work well. The difference between pavlov and onward is that u can actually do stuff against exploiters in pavlov
For example get a rpg, shoot it, reload load out, repeat because of this u can use an rpg like an assault rifle and is very spammed
Another would be getting stuck in a house and being able to shoot people without dying and has been in the game for so damn long

buggy as hell and devs barely support the game with basic features like joystick swapping for left handers

Onward is fun but the game breaks and it is not worth your money do not buy it
