Just stumbled on your channel sir and it was great and I have subscribed and hit the bell. I am 71 and well retired. I have done tons of scrap since I was 5 years old in London. I started with newspapers and rags. When we moved to the country side I got into metal. I had tons of motors and amateurs and just weighed them in as they were. If I had my time again I would have stripped them down. Thanks again. Take care and stay safe. Tom.

      Hello!
You will make more money scrapping them, but selling them as they are requires no work, so I guess it depends on if you have the time and desire to scrap.
I scrap as a hobby and it’s a lot of fun so the time I put into scrapping doesn’t matter to me.

There is good money in scrapping, especially motors.
Each yard has their own prices, so the best thing you can do is check with your local scrap yard and ask them how much they’ll pay for motors and how much they pay for #2 copper.

Where as if you could somehow repair them instead, you get to preserve all the added value of the work that went into making the motor.
