Thank you so much! When I first started I didn’t have many tools at all, including grinder so I pretty much just scrapped that sort of stuff as well. Does your yard give you a decent price for electric motors?
@@scrapitall200yeah, they offer a fairly decent price. Just recently I turned in some electric motors from fans, food processors, vacuums, microwaves etc… (my scrapyard buys transformers as “electric motors”) and they currently offer 80 cents (AUD) per kg for motos so I bought in a heap of electric motors I’ve been collecting and made a quick fix of $25.60 I also bought in some cu/al radiators and some number 2 and 1 copper so altogether I made roughly 100 bucks altogether! How is your scrapyards and do they offer you decent prices?
That’s really awesome! Scrapyards in my state are on the lower end of average prices. One yard I just sell my steel and aluminum and stainless, the other I sell all the better stuff.

I don't come across motors of that size. I'm curious about using an angle grinder versus a sawzall. Which one makes more dust? Or is there a cost differential in grinding wheels versus sawzall blades? Like hydraulic presses, not everyone has a band saw. I'd think a band saw would have a thinner blade, making less dust.
Bandsaw would probably be the best. Sawzall can work but a lot of times the teeth from the sawzall blade will grab the copper and make a big mess. Smaller the teeth and bigger the wire is better.
