Thanks for this video, haven't found too many vids on the comparison between these two. Tbh I'm a little disappointed by hiboy because I'm thinking about purchasing one, but it seems they keep getting one or two details wrong. (For me anyway) I figured the KS4 would have fixed certain issues like the brake now being on the left which is good, but then they removed the button which i don't like, because i prefer to use the button primarily. It almost seems like hiboy can't get out of it's own way when it comes to certain details. Thanks again for the vid!
Also from the pictures I looked at on Hiboy's website, S2 Pro has handle bars closer to the rider while the KS4's handle bars are further away and more upright. I'm a bigger rider so I'll probably go with the KS4
Nice video. I have been debating whether to buy the s2 pro vs this ks4 pro. It’s only $10 difference between the 2. I’m 6’ 205lbs and plan to use maybe one day to commute to start if not recreation. I guess because of updates and screen upgrade I’ll go with the KS4? What do y recommend
I noticed also some S2 Pros come with solid rubber tires and some come with honeycomb tires. The honeycomb tires version also has different shaped thumb controls and the brake + electronics wire locations at the lower tube are parallel to each other instead of offset. I wonder if the honeycomb tires version is the newer updated version? I got sold the solid rubber tires version and just noticed the differences after watching many videos and seeing pics of other S2 Pros. HiBoy needs to notify customers of this instead of allowing retailers to sell older versions for the same price, customers thinking it is the current one. Looks like your KS4 Pro has solid rubber tires too. One thing I don't like with the KS4 Pro is it doesn't have the electronic brake lever like the S2 Pro. On their website it shows you can get a new front wheel with the honeycomb tires, but shows the rear wheel with the solid rubber tires. Gets confusing as to which type of tire they are going to send you.
I don't know. But I don't think the difference is big, they are not real honeycomb anyway. They are just pattern and the holes are not all the way through. I know some people like the ebrake button but you can't stop the scooter with that on downhill and could be dangerous in emergency situation. Overall KS4 Pro is still better imo.
@@carbrickscity I dunno if you have seen them, but the honeycomb tires have large holes that are almost all the way through. Just a thin strip of rubber in between. The solid rubber tires like mine and on your KS4 Pro are the ones with the fake pattern.
Have you actually seen one in person though? It's still not all the way through. And it's not a big difference as it's still solid tires. It's not a deal breaker and I still stand by my opinion that the KS4 Pro is better.
@@carbrickscity I should have gotten the KS4 had I known. My S2 Pro rides a whole lot better now since I modded it to have both front and rear suspension. 😁👍
Nice comparison. You compared the KS4pro with the S2, but if comparing the KS4pro with S2 PRO - What are your thoughts? I had the S2 pro and I returned it..
No. I compared the KS4 Pro and S2 Pro as well. The differences are the same between the KS4/S2 and the KS4/S2 Pro. Only differences between the Pro and the regular version are just range, tires, weight, dimensions, cost. Definitely get the KS4 Pro. S2 has the stem breaking issue which you want to avoid at all cost. Also the KS4 Pro has many other upgrades over the S2 Pro which I already mentioned in the video.
@@carbrickscity Thanks for the quick reply! If I don’t care about range but DO care about speed - Do you think the regular KS4 will be enough for me to get that speed? I’m 220lbs. Thanks again!!!
If cost is not a concern, definitely get the Pro. They have same speed but the Pro is probably better for heavier weights since it is slight bigger and has bigger tires. The extra range is nice to have. Probably more stable and comfortable as well due to the bigger tires.
@@carbrickscity Thank you. Also, You said that the front light “suppose” to be better, but did you check if it’s actually better? The light on the S2 pro is useless..
....motor placement, s2 pro has front motor ks4, rear, same size 500w, ks4 has a bigger battery and 5 more range. Is ks4 water resistant like.the s2 pro?
If you watch the video, the better question is, why don't they discontinue the S2 series. KS4 is better than the S2 in every way. I would completely stay away from the S2 just because of the stem breaking issue. Why not spend a little extra to get the KS4.
@@carbrickscity I actually prefer the paint job and foot pad design also the display of the s2😅 If the ks4 had the grey colorway I might go for it.. s2 is currently 370.. while the ks4 it 400... Ill be making a decision tonight so wish me luck.. you vid helped me decide thanks
I would always say KS4 Pro. $25 difference is such a no brainer. Display is way better in the KS4 Pro imo. At least it's bigger and way brighter. The frame is far sturdier than the S2 as well and I prefer the black color actually.
All the differences are shown in the video. If I didn't mention it, then it's the same, so is the range, which is 25 miles. You cannot put a secondary battery. You might want to look at the S2R.
My man out here, not letting corporations get away with nothing!!
Nice to know that hiboy addressed the weak stem issue. I was about to return the hiboy ks4
You are a combination hero angel. I wish comprehensively delightful things to happen fo you for the joy you bring.

Yes that is correct. But even for a smaller rider I would still recommend the KS4 Pro over the S2 Pro.
Ks4 pro over s2 max? The max range is pushing me
I weight 210 lbs and carry some 10 lbs of camera gear too
Another cool , honest video, well done 👍
Thanks.
@@carbrickscity your welcome, I love this channel, very informative and honest reviews, 5 stars ⭐️
I really like my ks4 Pro..Solid build, adequate power & speed.
Straight to the point. Good video

I recommend the KS4 Pro no doubt. It's a newer and upgraded model of the S2 Pro with little price difference. It's the only scooter that I still have.

@@89GTFoxDude how did you mod the suspension!?
hi idk which one to chose, i weight about 90 lbs and i can only pick 1, range is not a concern for me. but are there any speed differences?
No difference in speed and range between the S2 Pro and the KS4 Pro. I recommend the KS4 Pro.
what is the material difference if i return the ks4 for ks 4 pro ? I am looking for acceleration. thank you
I think they are more or less the same except the range, tire size, and weight.

It's supposed to be brighter and pointed slightly more downward. It's good enough to see at night with streetlights.

Watch the video again. For the things you mentioned, they are exactly the same. They are different in other areas which I described in the video.
Does this scooter have wider handlebars than the S2?
Thanks!
Yes I think slightly wider.
Wow you saved me from buying S2!
So which one you recommended us to buy?
KS4 Pro of course.
I don't understand why HiBoy needs to make a KS4 serious. It is basically the same thing as the S4 serious with minor cosmetic differences.

What is the rang vs ks4 vs 2 ? I’m looking for range I need range and can you put a second battery for extend range.

@@carbrickscity ok but does the acceleration feel fast to u or week ?
I have several review videos of this scooter. You should watch them instead. It's about the same as other scooters in this price range.
Tires are different S2R Plus air filled
This video is about the differences betwee the KS4 Pro and the S2 Pro, not the S2R.
