To stick an artificial full cover tip on the plastic fake finger or nail, use tacky putty. Scotch brand is sold in most stores. It can be found near the stationary or art department. This made to stick posters to walls. Amazon has other brands and you can find it in pink. It will pop off easy with a good tug and you can re-use the practice finger. Do not over file the top of the practice finger or the putty will get in the scratches and gum up. You do have to gently buff it though, or it won't stick. Use an exacto/craft knife to cut the putty and clean the edges. Putty works because it also fills the gaps. Many artificial nails are curved and plastic hands/fingers are oddly shaped. Also a small personal fan helps dry the finished nail faster.
I’m gonna pin this so more people see it. Those plastic hands are a struggle. lol. Scratching up the removable nail bed was the easiest for me, but also someone mentioned putting a drop of monomer on the glue helps the tip stick to the nail bed, for the half cover ones, I’m guess because monomer melts the plastic a little.
@@kristimayes2017 I like putty for many reasons. One pack will last a long time because you don't need a lot. Also you don't have to wait for it to dry. I found out about the tacky putty from other nail art groups. People who like stamping with polish use putty on full cover tips to attach to display stands. I'm combining two ideas that can work for all nail artists.
@@barbaramatthews4735 that’s what i use for my nail stands so i have a ton of it. I’ll have to try it. Gorilla glue makes some. I believe they sell it at Michael’s. Thank you for the tip!
With odorless, the key to picking the perfect bead and to prevent yellowing, you HAVE to use minimal monomer on your brush; you have to use half the amount to normal monomer. Make sure your brush is barely wet. Thus will give you a perfect ratio of liquid/powder, and the less monomer will prevent yellowing.
Will do! This is the first time I’ve heard this suggestion so I’m excited. I know a lot of ladies that will be happy to hear it. I’m gonna try it right now!
Odorless monomer cures from the bottom up leaving the tacky layer. Regular monomer cures from top to bottom leaving the tacky layer underneath. That is the difference between the two, via Suzie's explanation.
@@kristimayes2017 Odorless is good when you are around people who dislike the odor. It's also good for those who suffer headaches or don't have proper space with ventalation. I don't mind the slow curing as a beginner and like taking breaks from strong odor. I will say it's nice breaking from the extra hassle of dealing with the tacky layer. I finally have space for my salon table, but haven't had time yet to get back to having fun. My room is very small, but at least I have my privacy. It has been a nightmare moving. Will let you know how things went soon. Still have not touched my storage unit, Ugh!
Young nails just came out with a low odor line like odorless. Please review this if you want . It wasnt bad for me. Also i like the smell of monomer so odorless is meh for me 😂
Thanks for sharing your review. I recently purchased her low odor monomer and wasn’t sure if I wasn’t properly using it. I recently started a UA-cam channel and I bought it so I could make more videos from home using acrylic. New subbie. 💕
I did another video for how to use odorless monomer as well. My nail supply glamour video, If you need more info. Congrats on your channel, i subbed back ❤️
Thank you for this review. Although according to NCE’s actual videos on how to properly use the “clean acrylic”, you should lay it down, leave it alone and let it set a bit, as it’s doing that wipe off more monomer so that you don’t ruin the consistency you’ve created. Which is maybe what happened with the white. As soon as you layered it down, you began tapping. It’s far from set yet which then caused more liquid to be added to the bead you initially created. ☺️
I understand what the videos show, however we were told multiple different things about the yellowing back when it was released, including that we needed a “special primer” to prevent yellowing, one that hadn’t even been released yet. However, i have tried all the different ways that people have told me to use it, and it still yellowed. Plus this is geared to beginners, with the extra setting time, but we aren’t supposed to touch it? Also every time someone has an issue with it they’re told they’re “using it wrong” or “uneducated” which is odd since it’s for beginners. Joy mia isn’t known for its high quality products so it’s possible it just isn’t that great. This is an issue i haven’t had with other odorless monomer, however if there is actually a way that it doesn’t yellow, I’ll update it. But i haven’t found one yet
Yay! I've been wondering about suzies stuff! Its bug season in SC too! They need to go back to the depths of hell! Lol when I used the odorless monomer I had to get a minimal about on my brush then to pick up a bead I had to make circles in the powder. I counted to 20 and it picked up a little bead. It was so weird! Girl you know they all say they work best with their system blah blah blah! 🤣
They were clearly yellow lol. YELLOW. I saw another review and it was yellowing also. It would be a no for me. Thanks for the review, I wanted to try but I’m good lol.

The acrylic was awesome. I think odorless is just difficult to get right. It’s still a fairly new product. She doesn’t make or send it either. Another company does. It’s just her name on it. But seeing as it’s marketed for “just practice” the yellow probably was just pushed aside. She’s still an amazing teacher
I have been wanting to try her products for a long time. Her acrylic yes, but no longer interested in her odorless. I do enjoy watching her videos. She has a great personality, yet I can see her strong personality beyond the camera. Not judging harsh, she admits to her bossy personality.
Right, she’s a great teacher. And running a business in the 80s you had to have a strong personality. The acrylic was nice. I’m gonna give the regular monomer a try. Odorless is difficult and fairly new. So I’m not judging ya know

Did you ever make an update video on using less monomer?
Susie uses very little monomer and there is no yellowing. Definitely has to be used correctly. I would like to see that as well.
The dusty pink with blue accents sounds bomb. You definitely have to show us when you remodel 💖💙

More monomer should not change the color of the bead, whether it’s the “actual” way or not. But that’s just my opinion.
