Funny. "Mengks squandered millions trying to track down Raynor". Tycus just like, y'all way over thinking this one *goes to 'the Bar'* - “Little Jimmy Raynor” ...
When I first saw wings of liberty come out, I remember being so struck with awe over the cinematics, I had never in my life seen models so crisp and clean like that! I was used to starcraft 1's pixelart and playstation 1/2 polygonal games, like tak and the great juju challenge, or crash tag team racing. I was almost certain that these were real life actors at the time! Of course, nowadays, I can see the artifacting, the corners, etc. My eye's are adjusted to it. But at the time, this blew my mind!
@Spazzosity actually if you watch more of the cinematics, in one of them raynor says how he knows tychus from along way back and how they used to get into trouble together. which is why they seem so familiar, and why tychus calls him "old buddy" several times. and why at the end they are both like "yep, old times". its doesnt go into anymore detail then that though.
How come raynor in the next scene doesn't have his head in his hands "Why did i drink half a bottle of whisky it's 10 am my head's spinning i wanna puke"
Because us Southerners are the most badass, and so are our accents. Y’all wouldn’t really want to hear Raynor or Tychus talking with a Bawston or New Yawk accent, wouldja? Nobody would take them seriously.
well....... in the game this is the first they meet. But in the BOOK which i read and yes im a nerd, they where both part of there own task force and worked together for a long time ever sense they first joined the millitary.
Raynor is a traumatized war veteran fighting a (at that point) hopeless rebellion against the Terran Dominion all with the shadow of the Zerg Swarm hanging over his head, it's no surprise he does so much drinking
Since when have the Protoss been able to revive the dead, let alone dead Terrans? The closest we have are the Purifiers, and we have no idea if that works on Terrans. It wouldn't even be the same Tychus anyway, just a copy made from his memories (and we don't even know how far he would remember).
Don't get me wrong, Tychus was one of the characters I instantly loved when he appeared, but part of that is because he was the tragic hero who stayed true to his friendship with Raynor. In the end you can catch several hints like him selecting semi not burst for his rifle, his face, his voice, that he did not want to betray Jimmy but knew he was a dead man either way. He made it so that he WILL die but not by Mensk. He will die by Jim's hand but also remove himself as a threat to what Jim truly wanted, bring back Kerrigan. Him being dead is what makes this sacrifice meaningful.
If I leave here tomorrow Would you still remember me? For I must be traveling on, now Cause there's too many places I've got to see But, if I stayed here with you, girl Things just couldn't be the same
Imagine traveling 60.000 light years in space only to still have flies.
Cargo ships man
They get in the colony ships, and then you can't get rid of them.
If these planets were terraformed, they were probably needed.
infested flies joined the swarm
Adapted and overgrown
"don't worry, Tychus wouldn't even hurt a fly now.... okay well"
The writing and the voice acting are absolutely TOP NOTCH.
I like how this scene mirrors the ending.
Raynor reaching for the same gun that he'd eventually kill him with.
I agree with raynor. he should get 70%. he's the one with an army.

Saaaaammmeee. I thought for sure this has to be like cgi + live action. Cause theres no way they did the prison scene so good.
This brings back so many memories ... feels like all times already

@@MrTBSC obviously, i dont know why i wrote "all"
In spite of the incredible characters we got in HotS and LotV (Abathur, Alarak, etc.) no StarCraft content will ever top WoL.
HOW BIG IS THAT FLY OR HOW SMALL IS THAT CIGAR OH MY GOD
Finally someone think the same thing as i do lol
A well fed fly can get big...and slow enough to swat
Bloatfly
Too many nukes got em twisted
I think they only smoke cigarillos
0:32 meet Tychus the only thing in the universe that can make Raynor poop himself and catches him with his pants down.
That's because I'm the best character in the game.
Damn right you're the best, nobody can prove you aren't!
He's a dumb drunk.
Excuse you, it's "the best f'cking character"
Laughs in raytraced Tychus.

Jimmy knows a thing or two
Why do I feel such like they are cowboys who are about to plan to raid a train for some oil? Why are they soooo southern
Cause its in their hearts mate. They're from earth after all.
Hearts and minds man, hearts and minds....
Pretty sure they have

I need to play this game again.
I miss when Blizzard was good.
Yeah me too. Good old times buddy
@fatmanontherun
the voice actor who did tychus, is a small man actually
neil kaplan
He also did Cenarius in Legion
The shadowing technology (and how they applied it here) was pretty stunning for the time.
who made this cutscene definitely doesnt drink
Tychus is one cool son of a bitch. Mah bro.
How did we go from This to overwatch 2
This scene is perfect in every sense of the word
I think this tune is the same from Starcraft 1 cinematic Despearate Alliance.
poor fly
@NemesisOfAges i know...read the book like i just said
They smoke and drink a lot in this game.
If there was Zerg in real life that could kill me in a blink of an eye I would probably do too

what kind of music is this and where can i get more omg plz answer would love to drink to this kind of ish
Spaghetti western-ish and it's called public enemy.
Look for slide guitar and western-style music.
Rimworld soundtrack
Not a bad idea.
Cockroaches and flies, even in space
They will always come along with cargo
Wish they would have had a side mission to save tycus.
Why can't we have the protoss revive tychus and have him as the new main character in the 3rd one if they make it like come oooon!
