General Warfield is a really good minor character; also, I have to say, I love the fact that the mech suit is strong enough to punch out one of the Zerg -- that's just great!

Warfield definitely passed his hydralisk anatomy test with the way he nearly takes a hydralisk out with just a punch and defends himself from inc spikes then dodges the second ones attack
This scene is awesome and all but dude, the general got shot with over half a dozen of those spikes and they are sharp enough to be "DROPPED" 6 inches into the ground.... ouch

A sling wouldn't be as useful as you might think, given that the C-14 Gauss rifle weighs roughly 20kg and how the Terran Marine CMC-300/400 suits are built there's quite literally no way for a sling to be used with the suit and to the controlled bursts? Yeah that don't mean jack to the Zerg, have to mag dump on them to keep them at bay.
To be fair hydralisks probably get a 6+ save considering they have 0 armor in game. They’re probably T4 with 2 wounds though based on their health compared to a marine’s (who I’m guessing is T3 and 1W).
@@seanwhitman8353 Probably a 6+ base then 5+ with shields? I know combat shields give health instead of armor in game, but bumping them to 2 wounds would be a crazy increase. Way better than +1 save. Zerglings would be T3 1W with no save, and Zealots might be T4 1W with a 5+ or 4+?

cant wait for starcraft 3 for when Warfield returns as a dragoon only to get betrayed by Kerrigan then die. Then Starcraft 4 when an AI copy with Warfield's memories joins the crew and thinks he's Warfield but over the course of the Terran campaign learn about his true nature and eventually take on a new name.
The Terran campaign was great and I genuinely enjoyed the HotS dynamic Raynor and Kerrigan had but critically the narrative of SCII falls apart in the final campaign. I do still like it though.
That wasn't even the power armor. That was just the sheer unadulterated *hardass* flowing through his veins, and the pair of *tungsten spheres* hanging between his legs.
I'm not talking about CGI cutscenes between acts. I'm talking about ingame cutscenes in the actual game engine, watch how Cain gets killed, THAT animation and all others like it.
One would think that they would design their armor suits so that they can reflect a simple sharp projectile coming from zerg... But no, somehow those sharp knives cut through that thick armor and reach the flesh as if that armor was not even there.
Of course,because somehow,they need to make organic enemies look like a match for power armors and heavy artillery,which they definitely are not. It's hilarious to think that a sharp thing would go through advanced metals of that sickness.

They don’t have any, this shield is generally used for tactical nuclear launch, or any violent blast next to the suit’s wearer. We can see Jim using it at the end of HotS, when Mengsk just... explode, and in the cinematic trailer of Heroes of the Storm, when Nova is launching a nuke. Even if they had cameras, their vision field will be highly reduced, and an hydralisk shot can easily pierce the steel.

I have a question: Their armor is so huge, would it be too difficult to include a larger magazine? Maybe a backpack-type thing? Why are they limited to what look like fairly normal assault rifle mags when their main enemy comes in massive hordes? Hell, why not mount belt-fed guns on their hands? They've probably got the tech to do that.
First, the gun is damn huge compare to our normal assault rifle, so they can also carry a lot of ammo. If I recall correctly there is 2000 bullet per round for standard gauss rifle. Second, the arm-mounted thingy has been done. It is called Marauder.
I wonder why do they even bother wearing that armour at all. All that mass you have to lug around, and all that money and resources wasted, on something that doesn't seem to protect you from anything.

I know some RL railguns use gas to start the projectile moving through the rails otherwise the rails would simply weld the bullet to themselves.
