While I prefer either the Anaconda or Cutter for mining, I got nothing but love for the T10. My mining Cutter has no weaponry. All hardpoints are loaded with mining equipment so I can take advantage of any opportunity. Laser, Core, Surface and Sub Surface deposits. Even without weapons, I seldom have to run from a fight. I use a kill warrant scanner, then I use the nose of that Cutter to squish a would be pirate against the nearest rock.
The spoiler is necessary for weight distribution. Without it, the nose of the ship is too heavy and will pitch down. Since the T10 doesnt bow before anyone, they had to outfit it with one to keep it level. Every pilot knows this.
I love my Type 10, always confuses me when someone says they have The Big 3 - there are 4! Al my experience deep core mining during the diamond rush was in a Type 10.
But seriously, i never really saw the appeall if you can just second hand mine as well. But since you guys get pimped out by your executioners already i would feel real bad taking even more.
