The Sds100 would not pick up my states interops system from my county which is not covered by the system it would very seldomly and very messages were garbled the unication can and is never garbled
@@sigsnrigs240 it just depends if it works for you then great I’m sure you don’t need any other bands to monitor the pager won’t Recieve them only p25 phase 1 and 2 dmr but nothing outside of those specific bands
That sounds like a pretty cool scanner. I have a question for you. I am a visually impaired amateur radio operator. Is there any way that scanner can do voice prompts the reason why am asking if I were to buy one and I was able to voice prompts, I would know where I was at.
Hi Anthony yes it does do voice prompt when you turn the knob to a different position it it will say the nam you set it up as it also has custom prompts probly recorded voice from you I’ve never tried that feature but the defaults are normal scan monitor priority scan selective call and a few others

How much better is that then the SDS100? Was it worth it I honestly don't think it was worth it but that just my opinion! I have both SDS Scanners and I have the Unification scanners I like them but each radio has features that are great but I think the SDS Scanners are better anyway goof luck and thanks for the video!!!!

Unlike the SDS100 scam radio this will actually decode simulcast. I live in an analog area though and just love it for the loud speaker. You can pit it in your inner coat pocket and pipe out local fire really loud.
Looks like a tank the sds seems really flimsy especially for the price. Is this rugged / waterproof?

That used to happen to me a lot I think the easiest way I found was to take off the battery a reinstall it
If that doesn’t work go into pps erase and re download
With all due respect the uniden sds 100 does it all the unication is for specific use case only but if it works for you that’s good

@@elkabong6429 I have the adapter to BNC (the one that has the correct pin size) and run it to a 3db gain antenna on my car. No issues.

Yes like I said it handle simulcast like it’s not there and the range is way better
It doesn’t do all the encryptions nor does it cover all the frequencies
