I have 2 Neo65 with different configurations and love them but sound wise my Luminkey65 with WS Heavy Tactiles and GMK sounds a little better IMHO. I have Nixies in my Neo80 and QK75n... might have to try them in the Luminkey though after watching your video! :)
Sounds like a good plan :) I need to fiddle a little more with the Luminkey maybe. Currently waiting for a FR4 plate and the brass battery cover... Will then also try different switches. I think both boards have roughly the same potential to sound good.
Puh, that's a tough question. None of mine is exactly the same but I think that the Neo65 with some foams is also really exiting and actually the cheapest of the bunch at the same time. But the Kohaku does not need foam and has the better spacebar tbh. On the other hand you can get very happy with a Neo soundwise I guess. There is no need to overpay for a Kohaku to get nice sound imo.
