Aaaah, your playing always invokes so many feelings.
It isn't important how hard or easy a song is, how much crazy jumps it has, it's the message it brings across that is important.

    • @TehIshter
      @TehIshter  10 років тому +40

I think so too. Of course, it's fine once in a while to have fun with a song and arrange it with a lot of technical stuff (like my SAO2 "Courage" arrangement), but sometimes it's also good to take time to really understand the music~

I truly thank you for playing the piece of music that has affected me the most. About two months before I saw this film, my long distance relationship had ended and this movie was almost a biography of what happened to me. When I heard this piece I cried for a very long time and I'll never forget it.

It's almost the same for me. Well, at least I'm the one who's making the decision to cut ties with her and move on. We're about to graduate so I think it's best that we forget each other and leave our memories in the past and go our separate life.

I love how you changed it. It feels quieter, less accented than the original version. And yes, you did play it almost nervously, and it seems a bit slower than in the original. But that made it amazing. Thank you for the upload!!

    • @TehIshter

Ahh, I really love this song- And it's played with so much emotion.
And it reminds me of the movie-
It was almost reflective of reality, I feel. An ambiguous ending I felt was neither too happy nor too sad but simply real-
Left me feeling empty and full at the same time.
    Beautifully played~

    • @baconman1919
      @baconman1919 10 років тому +3

Yeah it really is just real. Its the type of story that just shows how much can change as life goes on. And the realisation of that fact is extremely depressing. The animation also added immensely to the feel of the story imo.

been waiting ALL DAY for this. thank you, it's just so beautiful a piece. This was the first and probably only anime which, without any twists nor turns, no exciting plot devices, kept me on the edge of my seat for it's entire duration. When he waited in that train car not knowing when it'd move again, i cried for him.

Literally for years now, I've known how to play a simpler version of this song, and every time I play it, it makes me feel so full of emotion. It is simple, yes, but yet so beautiful and expressive. This arrangement is very nice, once/if you upload the sheet music, I will print it out and learn it straight away! Amazing job, as always. Keep up the good work :)

This song brings back so many memories and feelings from the movie. Sometimes the simplest and cleanest songs are the most impactful, and I can really feel the emotions streaming through your music. The striking feeling that sometimes feelings don't reach, and the beautiful way this movie describes the devastating fact that life isn't something you can fully control, no matter how much you want to. Listening to this song is like making a journey throughout the entire movie, and your arrangement takes me back to the time I first watched it. Beautiful as always.

People choosing songs because they are easy? This is the first piano song that I am trying to learn from beginning to end. It certainly isn't the easiest song to start with, but it means enough to me that i'm willing to do it. Ishter, your interpretation has really made this theme mean something to me. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

I find that simple things are often the most beautiful as they are stripped down to the very core that they want to express, without any noise that complexity often brings, and thus expresses it much more powerfully.

The person i'm about to talk about is the most amazing person you will ever be able to meet, the person whom I fell in love with.
I never felt anything close to how I feel to her with anyone else.
She is the only person in this world I have ever felt natural with, the only one who could really understand me and my feelings.
When I listen to this, all I can think of is One more time,
    to hear her beloved voice
    to smell her addicted smell
    to see her pretty face
    One more chance,
    to be with her,
to be the person who will try to make her feel like how she deserves.
The more precious someone to you, the harder for you to accept the fact that there will be no more time, there will be no more chance, and all left are memories. She is the most precious person for me, and anywhere, at anytime I will be willing to do anything for her good.
If you love someone, don't do the same mistake I did, do not take those good times for granted. Experiance the moment as it's your last chance to be with them. Allways let them know how you feel and never take them for granted.
Thank you Maya, for being the person you are, I will never be able to forget you, you will allways have that spot in my heart, then now and forever.

I know what you mean when you get sad because people don't fully appreciate or explore the piece because they're so focused on the technical requirements. IMO, technical excellence is important, but the ability to be expressive is just as important. A piece played well will shine and be interesting no matter how 'easy' it may be technically. Phrygian Gates as an example. Keep up the good work :)

I never thought of this as an happy ending. I felt so sad and 切ない(what is the English word for this??) throughout the entire thing. But maybe it is some kind of an happy ending. Maybe it is just I don't know, because maybe I'm just a child.
But I like this piece. It goes in my top of bgm. Maybe #1. It is just, very 癒し, very comforting (I feel 癒される is a better word to describe it (English is also a good language)
ishter-kun. By looking at this video, you are so much better in those dynamics in each note, and the looks (classical style of hand-looking (softness, bouncyness, etc.) 憧れるーw
    Please 頑張ってyour university!!

translations for kanji: 切ない= miserable (roughly), 癒し= soothing 憧れる=to long for, admire 頑張って= keep at it / go for it

Well, there are some Japanese words that cannot be translated.
      It is just… Japanese.
Maybe, there is a special meaning to each word, to each person.

平出賢治 Well, that goes for most languages, too, but then you'll have to turn the word into a description.

I always thought this as a sad ending too, exactly like what you felt, and yet it feels really calm at the same time

Personally, I prefer easy pieces, because I'm just about to start playing piano and most of your transcriptions are over the top for me. ^^ So I have to search for songs that are quite easy and then keep on getting more difficult ones when I managed the easier ones.
Thank you so much for bringing us another heartwarming part of heaven to our ears~

YYEAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH one of the best animes ever! :D
One thing I liked about this one over the original is that instead of brushing the chords (low to high really fast), you do the chord all at once. It makes the song feel a little more bold. ^_^

i would love a piano sheet for this arrangement. not only to entertain but to learn. im also starting to learn to make up my own style and improvising music. Hearing ur arrangements of your music just teaches me alot. but as i said, a few more piano sheets when u have the time would be most useful and helpful for my study in piano

You may search the internet for that.

+Funnymovie xD Actually, the reason there's no sheet music is because he arranges songs by ear and most of the time doesn't write the sheets
