I managed to watch most of the series without crying. Then came the second half of the last episode. WHEN SHE SAID THE LIE AND THIS MUSIC PLAYED, I DIED. I'm teen dude that doesn't usually cry, but I was weeping at this scene. It is amazing how powerful a tv show can be. Even though the show is not perfect, I'll give it credit for having outstanding animation, some great characters, perfect music, and tear jerking as heck.

I know this will get lost in the sea of comments but this playing just helped me so much. I have been dealing with insane amounts of anxiety and for the first time ever with a piece of music, while listening to it I genuinely felt everything wash away... I wasn't thinking about anything, I wasn't crying or sad, I was just listening to the music. Near the end it was like a voice told me about all of my anxieties even the ones i didn't realize I had, and it told me how I don't need to worry about it anymore... My goodness, this is so satisfying to play. I can't play it without crying afterwards. The anime really saved my life (yes, I tried commiting suicide many times) and even got me to pick up the piano. It's been there when I wanted it to be there for me. It was such a great support. Everytime I play this song I get reminded of the things I've done not too long ago, but even more just how much this anime hit me. Anime, in general, has really got me back on track again. I know this sounds stupid, but it's the truth. I would've been dead right now if it weren't for some Anime like this one. I admit, I'm still not completely restored and have trouble with even the slighest of setbacks (due to some really rough events which would be too much to talk about), but at least I'm still here. Anime made me go from a depressed person who ended up in the hospital almost weekly for self-harming to a proud pianist and someone who actually regained the motivation to tackle the struggle called "life". it's been years since I hear this song for the1st time and one thing that I just can't help to say is how mellow Isther has turned this piece into. It never cease to amaze me how much melancholy I feel from this version, compared to the more upbeat Wacci's original. Although I have seen quite some pianist making piano covers, I say Isther has a unique knack when he works on melancholic piece. This one in particular is a work of a genius!
Man, what a beautiful interpretation. The tone quality is superb like always. I've actually been working on the Kirameki section of my Shigatsu all OP and ED medley for the past few days and started running into some writer's block, but listening to the slow version of this song really provided some uplifting inspiration.
Indeed. The original version captures the bright, lighthearted mood of the first half of the show while the slower version captures the more melancholy mood of the second half as the show progresses, kinda like a Polaroid whose colors slowly fade over time, but still retains its beauty. Also, thanks for the good luck! :D This medley is by far the biggest project I've ever done and it sure is exhausting.

this is so beautiful.... I love this anime and it actually inspired me to perform and spread the love of music. A perfomance, no matter how big or small, is meant to be enjoyed. Shigatsu gave me the oppertunity to realize how important music is in our lives.
this cover changed the rather upbeat tune of the actual song into a melancholy pianic tune that this is. i love also how ishter played it in higher note than it actually is in several part, which feels really nice to me. I'm really hoping Isther only take a sabbatical and not forever stopping creating cover, because his cover is unique, maybe not as complicated Animenz', but I feel there's so much feels from his works.

Your Lie In April always makes me think about a certain person. She was my upperclassman and I never understood why she was so kind to me. I won't lie, I'm pretty sure I was an awful person back then. But I was that way because of my own self hatred. But when she talked to me for the first time my world lit up. She lift me out of my mundane life. She truly gave me a reason to wake up everyday. And that reason was of course that I'd get to meet her again. Naturally, I fell in love with her. And every time she would talk to me my entire world would take color and everything felt wonderful. Well, a little time goes by and she graduates. I graduated a year later and I haven't heard anything from her ever since. But still, that doesn't matter. Because she made me feel things I hadn't felt in so long. She introduced me to a life I could've never imagined before. She quite literally turned my entire world upside down but in a good way I guess. I hope she's doing well.

I’m not a weeaboo. But hear me out. This anime is one of the few I’ve ever seen and it’s beautiful. The emotions you feel and connections you make with the characters and the way the music hits you. It’s an amazing show and the music is wonderful. You may be sad from the show yet your fulfilled in a way never thought possible. You walk away feeling like a better and enlightened person. Best of luck on starting the piano! It takes a shorter time for you to get to a point to be able to convey a piece well enough comparing to guitars or violins, but it can get very challenging at the end.

My mother got a keyboard recently, and at first I just thought it was a cool thing to try out when I visit her once in a while. Thanks to you I have motivation to go there more to improve my skills and try to catch up to your levels, and maybe get a full on Piano for myself one day. Man, what a beautiful interpretation. The tone quality is superb like always. I've actually been working on the Kirameki section of my Shigatsu all OP and ED medley for the past few days and started running into some writer's block, but listening to the slow version of this song really provided some uplifting inspiration.

Indeed. The original version captures the bright, lighthearted mood of the first half of the show while the slower version captures the more melancholy mood of the second half as the show progresses, kinda like a Polaroid whose colors slowly fade over time, but still retains its beauty.

i just rewatched your lie in april and the ending left me in such sadness and void i'm practically clenching my fist the whole episode. i know the ending is what made this anime legendary, but this is just so cruel. so cruel.
this is so beautiful.... I love this anime and it actually inspired me to perform and spread the love of music. A perfomance, no matter how big or small, is meant to be enjoyed. Shigatsu gave me the oppertunity to realize how important music is in our lives.
this cover changed the rather upbeat tune of the actual song into a melancholy pianic tune that this is. i love also how ishter played it in higher note than it actually is in several part, which feels really nice to me. I'm really hoping Isther only take a sabbatical and not forever stopping creating cover, because his cover is unique, maybe not as complicated Animenz', but I feel there's so much feels from his works.

There's been a decent amount of time and space since I last listened to this song, and Theishter you're totally right, the music just brings a flood of memories. From the opening keys to the main movements I'm just sitting here deep in thought and memory. Like with most people that watched this show, it really moved me. Your Lie In April always makes me think about a certain person. She was my upperclassman and I never understood why she was so kind to me. I won't lie, I'm pretty sure I was an awful person back then. But I was that way because of my own self hatred. But when she talked to me for the first time my world lit up. She lift me out of my mundane life. She truly gave me a reason to wake up everyday. And that reason was of course that I'd get to meet her again. Naturally, I fell in love with her. And every time she would talk to me my entire world would take color and everything felt wonderful. Well, a little time goes by and she graduates. I graduated a year later and I haven't heard anything from her ever since. But still, that doesn't matter. Because she made me feel things I hadn't felt in so long. She introduced me to a life I could've never imagined before. She quite literally turned my entire world upside down but in a good way I guess. I hope she's doing well.

Quite possibly one the most beautiful ending songs I've heard in a long time. And you played it beautifully. Kinda makes me wonder what this will sound like on my flute but I can't really read sheet music that well. Well, for right now anyway. Your Lie In April has definitely become one of my favorite shows and hearing this again makes me want to go back and re-watch it :)

Best of luck on starting the piano! It takes a shorter time for you to get to a point to be able to convey a piece well enough comparing to guitars or violins, but it can get very challenging at the end.

My mother got a keyboard recently, and at first I just thought it was a cool thing to try out when I visit her once in a while. Thanks to you I have motivation to go there more to improve my skills and try to catch up to your levels, and maybe get a full on Piano for myself one day. It's going to be a long road, but I'll go through even the most tedious exercises if it means one day I can bring beautiful music to even just a few close family and friends.

The upbeat and guitar driven sound of the first version gives you that looking back, but content feeling, while this... this is just depressing... like death just took someone you loved and now you're just on the piano, letting out the emotions
