Iv owned over 10 trucks in the last 15 years from Toyota, Ram and Ford. 2.7 & 3.5 ecoboost, tacoma, 2 4Runners, 3 tundras, ext..and a 2020 power wagon. Fords were unreliable and the Toyotas were bulletproof but the 2020 power wagon was something else.. just a real truck that could take anything and did everything well. It will be the truck I tell my grandkids about.
How was the reliability of your Power Wagon? I've read that they're solid but wondered if you had any insights.
The Power Wagon is in its own league in off-road vehicles. It’s designed to be overbuilt x10 compared to other HD trucks. It doesn’t need 35”ers because the 33”ers perform better off road and the PW it’s not a poser truck.
Let’s not even compare a Rebel to a Power Wagon as they are not even close in their off road design and capabilities. There really is nothing even close to what the Power Wagon can do off road. If you know trucks and go seriously off road with them, you know why the dna in the Power Wagon is very unique.
Legendary truck. I hope Ram never stops making it. Crazy it’s almost been 20 years since bringing it back. Been one of the most, if not the most capable pickup trucks ever made.
Prices only seem high due to inflation and many haven’t caught up to it yet. The dollar just isn’t worth as much. Everything went up in price.
That’s ridiculous to say, yes inflation is a thing but hearing that 4 years ago people got there’s off the lot for 55k now msrp starts at 70 before options and dealer markups. You’re telling me at the least the dollar is worth 20% less then 4 years ago? No this is very obvious price gouging
@@Obamanamamamathere’s a dealer that has a brand new one with leather interior for 63
@@colesteinlage pretty incredible, crazy to say I would call it a steal but in this market it would be
@@Obamanamamama yeah fr bro. I wanna get it. Would be an amazing truck
@@Obamanamamamayes, the dollar has gone down in valuenincrefibly
Just picked up a 2023 Power Wagon. What a beautiful truck. Love the Hern winch included. This thing is a beast!
I've had mine for about two months and I love it and get a lot of compliments on it. My interior is a little different than the one you drove, and I like mine better.
I bought my 2021 for a steal. It sat for 4 months at a gmc dealer and if your looking to buy a sierra truck your not really a powerwagon kind of guy. That fact was totally in my favor as they let it go for 52k 54k out the door and 22 thousand miles on the odometer. I feel unbelievably lucky
I paid 40 for a 2020 Colorado so yes you got a great deal
I love mine. 75k 75th Anniversary Molten Orange color, one of a kind color!
Just bought a 2023 Power Wagon new yesterday. $12,000 off MSRP right now!
People rank on the PW for lack of towing capability and payload, and that’s true, until you have to tow something where angels fear to tread. I have a 2019, and with the GCVWR of 18,000, and GVR of 8000, and my fat butt of 250 lbs, I can haul about 6000 pounds of hay. Not much you say, but I can haul that load up the side of a mountain, through a creek, and through 3’ of snow in a pasture. Try that in your 30,000 lb hauling diesel. If you do, the only thing that can save you will be a Power Wagon.
I'm glad to see Ben hardy gaining more " T", with every review video. Keep up the good work. Masculinity =consistency =progress.
Great Truck!!!!! Not sure which one I would rather have, The Rebel or the power wagon, but I might slightly go for the rebel. My opinion might change.
I have a 2019 PW. I absolutely love it. Looks like a million bucks and so clean inside
Love my PW.. I will keep this thing as long as possible
Cool looking truck…But, 1400 payload - seems really low for a HD truck.
I agree, My 2017 F150xlt crew cab short bed had 1,887 payload capacity, with a 36gal tank
And the limited towing of 10k? Most of the half tons, aside from the ones with the smallest engines, can towing that and then some. I'd expect more from an HD truck
Yes the 1948 Power Wagon was and is a truck for a REAL MAN.
Is the ram 2500 6.4 hemi power wagon still gonna be around 2025?? Or the Cummins?
I love the Power Wagon. 😎
I only wish they offered a truck version of the 7.0L Hemi Gen III, to make some good competition with GM's 6.6L L8T (I've heard they're working on a larger gas V8) and Ford's Godzilla 7.3L.
Just buy American
@@bigmrfnBit is American 😂
The real thing is can the 6.4 do everything a gas engine should be able to do in a truck like this. The answer: yes!!!! So, I hate how everyone compares to the GM and the Ford Godzilla. Just because their numbers are a bit higher, doesn’t make those engines more capable.
I am looking at a Power Wagon to tow an off road travel trailer I do not give a damn about soft touch, digital displays, or how cool it looks. All that bull shit is just more things to break down and cause the truck to support Ram's shops. What is important is the front and rear lockers, sway bar disconnect, & winch and how well it will tow an off road travel trailer on two track trails.
Ben hardy would truck prices go down and last in the next full year? Your opinion
Driving on the streets in the winter, I'd much rather have a limited slip in the rear than a locker. In N Idaho I would want that for 4 months out of the year vs. the number of times I would take an $80k truck deep enough off the road to actually need a rear locker over a mechanical limited slip.
The Dodge RAM PowerWagon version might just be my favorite truck.
The killer app here is the front bench seat….where else can you find that???
That hairline!! I just can’t lol.
Dodge is claiming a max towing capacity of 16730 pounds on the 2023 power wagon. What did they change to add over 6000 pounds?
Wish they could make a cummins power wagon
Winch?? What winch ? Not installed?
The price=NO
Broke people problems
STILL PLAYING THE LOTTERY FOR THIS TRUCK
Wait til you see the AEV
@@kaedanthomas4928what is AEV?
Work harder
What is the hierarchy of the RAM models?
You mentioned the Power Wagon versus the Rebel as well as others in previous videos. I have completely lost track of the lineup at this point. Mainly because I have no interest in purchasing a pickup truck.
However, I still like to make an attempt to stay in the loop.
Stay classy my friends.
I think it’s the trades man first, the classic, big horn, Laramie, rebel/power wagon, limited, than TRX.
@@OmegaSonic- Laramie is gone in favor of the Limited
@@TheKillerMarine Laramie's are still available.
What "35s" are you talking about?
You didn't give the MPG. 😂
"Reasonable" is not the term I would use for truck pricing.
I would like to see a single cab power wagon with the 6.4 I think that would be interesting
buy the base truck then put the pw pkg on saves you 8-10k and that would fit your needs
As much as I love Power Wagons, the 6.4 Hemi is just not powerful enough to push the 7000lbs of iron around. I agree with a comment here that Ram should offer a 7.0 N/A Hemi as an option.
Turbo diesel ? Engine
4:56… 67 PSI on those tires?! 😂
Because it's 10ply tires...
Why anyone would pay that kind of money for a truck is beyond me.
I never thought I'd pay 40K for my 2500 but I did... And it was still way cheaper than any of the competition. Welcome to 2023.
I like ram truck but prices are crazy
Wo beautiful truck wish to have one
Payload 1400 lbs for a 2500 !!! That sucks.
A truck for rich men 😂
Very nice ❤
Real men don’t buy over priced trucks!
Real men go out rescuing people during blizzards. I bet you've never done that.
@@bobluthart4681 actually I have smart ass! Not sure what bullshit you Google search that response.
Will not buy because of that stupid dial shifter. At least they kept the 4wd on the floor. I’ll be looking for an older one with traditional shifter.
For real rich men. Hahah
Honestly who needs a truck that big when all they do is go to work and grocery store
MAN TRUCK- AHHRAHHH!
I was lovin it until the price tag, GEEEZ
You better be aware when you buy a new Ram Truck and need it serviced, the dealerships service departments are telling people that are weeks out to get you in and then when you drop it off, they are telling peoples its up to 5 days before they look at it. So you will be without a vehicle for a week or 2, that's if your vehicle is under warranty. It took us more than a month to get a oil change. The deal is they are selling more vehicles than they can service, so if your new vehicle breaks down, you may be without a truck for a month. That's in Austin Texas.
Ford Tremor has a front locker
No it doesn't
Please take a breath and slow down lol
you may have possibly used the wrong four letter R word...."rich" may have been the right R word....
Put 35s on it
I was in the market for a 5.7L 1500 Rebel but ended up considering one of these after seeing my local dealership having DEEP discounts on them until I figured out why. The 1500 Rebel has higher payload and towing capacity at the same time being quicker acceleration and less fuel consumption. That’s 4 strikes right off the get go to the average crew cab truck buyer. Don’t get me wrong it’s a beautiful truck and very capable off-road. However, it won’t do HD stuff as well as others, and won’t do daily truck commuter stuff as well as others either. Who is this for?
As Ben has written : for REAL MEN ;-) who are not into such nitty gritty things 😂
Seriously : I agree. Also to consider, the 2500 have the cab of the Gen4, not the Gen5. (partially justified by having the 6'4'' box)
This truck is meant for the person who wants to wheel a fullsize truck like they would a jeep rubicon from the factory instead of modding a used truck. Its kind of a wierd group of people lol. But youtube fullsize invasions of moab and you will see lots of power wagons
@@muskaman2k sure, but must fullsize offroad features one also gets with the 1500 Rebel.
For true offrad and rock climbing, a Jeep Rubicon really does a much better job.
@@spxram4793 yeah, i didnt say the pw is better at doing what a jeep can do, i just meant to say what i said. Its a fullsize truck that has the same features as a wrangler rubicon. It is a a wierd group of people it attracts 😂😂😂
Are you buying a car or do you really want to haul something? My regular 2500 has a 15,040 towing capacity with a payload capacity of 4,010 pounds. And I live in a snow area, during a snowstorm do you want to drive around in the rebel or would you rather have the Power Wagon? I know my choice!
Grate car❤
80k has become reasonable. Sad.
So I must not be. areal man since I don’t own one.
That will never be pretty reasonable when it’s price gouging. It’s that obvious!
With 10k towing🤣
15,040 towing capacity on my regular 2500. I guess you have to understand the suspension that is on this power wagon versus a regular 2500. The Power Wagon is made to flex not carry things, Therefore with lighter duty springs equal more flex, but you lose Towing capacity and payload, by the way my payload is 4010 pounds.
Do you really think ford is lame?
The payload and towing is worse than a 1500… yikes
Yes, you have to understand suspension basics to understand why this truck can't tow more than that. My regular 2500 is good for 15040 towing and 4010 payload. When you drive both of these you feel the difference immediately.
Dude I love your videos and your my favorite but your beard isn’t my favorite lol. Your beard is like mine, mine looks awful haha.
Still using the antiquated 6.4 V8 when Ford & GM’s V8’s have you out classed . Even Ford’s entry level 6.8 Mini Zilla is better ! 😂 Ram is so far behind & they want $80K lmfao 😂
The PW logos are hideous IMHO
Wow, a “real” truck for men, according to Ben Hardy for men who do not tow or haul stuff. I guess, you can look “cool” while driving around malls or hauling groceries.
Lol
And its not a wagon.
Engine is dated. I’m still struggling to understand why they’d didn’t use this platform to create the TRX…since the TRX nearly weighs as much as a HD truck anyhow. Engines too weak, tires too small, suspension not aggressive enough for off-road @ speed & not sturdy enough to tow/haul like it should. Who the hell buys these?
Humans
How is ford lame if it’s stronger and look’s better I only like the power
Really no back room for tall person
Why is there 69 psi in those tires 😂
10 ply
GEEK review from the chevy volt it??? guy
A Truck For "REAL MEN"! Are men fake?
If you don’t tow or require it for work and we catch you driving this 🤡
Payload and towing are abysmal anyway
That's 'Murica for you. Its neither sensible, neither a wagon. Americans gets screwed by corporations and eat it all up including the lies.
You can tow anything they do with a normal turbo diesel station wagon or a hatchback and get amazing mpg, but they are too dumb to do that.
Heated back seats lol a truck for your trans and lgbtq community's
It's "communities" dum dum
Ford went full woke 😂
Its not a wagon....
Why is this person talking so fast? Does he have a flight too catch?? Jeez.....
