As an American I can't even imagine the fear that is likely rippling through the Polish people as they watch Ukraine being demolished city by city. Even after 75 yrs the memory of the destruction done to Poland during WWII can never be forgotten. I am just hoping for a miracle here and praying that peace will happen very soon. Peace and love to everyone involved in this horrible w4r.

You just pray that May God dismantle destroy the GREAT usa for spreading peace over this planet. The History is not so weak that it will forget your invasions and bombings of various countries. You as a nation is the mother of TERRORISM, you radicalized people in Pakistan to fight against Russia as you don't have courage to fight them openly. Now you instigated Ukraine against Russia. Vietnamese, Afghans, Japanese taught you a lesson to not interfere in the affairs of This PLANET.
You are a desperate ARM seller who want to sell them at the cost of humanity, there is not even a single good cause for which you aspired.
You did not fought any war directly as you know that it will kick you back to stone age or to hell therefore you create battlegrounds in other countries.

Putin gets away with THIS tactic: deny, deny deny ... So, THIS is what USA needs to do: Somehow, some way, .. get a fleet of military jets over to the border of Ukraine and then go into the airspace of Ukraine, . .then BOMB the living crap out of any Russian ground tank convoy.... then DENY, deny ... deny

Lockheed Martin (successor to GE Aerospace) did the wind corrected tail kit not shown in this video. I took over the design of the FZU-39 from the original designer, Joe Zveglevich from Motorola. Honeywell invented the cluster bomb and manufactured it for many years. This continued when they spun off ATK, though Textron became prime.

The animation on how the submunitions dispense is off. The dispenser splits into 3 pieces (not 2). There is a forward bay of BLU-108s and an aft bay (5 each bay). Each bay cruises for a while then separate to allow the BLU-108s to disperse. The parachutes deploy and the BLU-108s fall vertically. At a "certain" height, the parachutes are released. Then a rocket motor fires, spins the BLU-108 and sends it up to a "certain" altitude. Then the "Skeets" articulate out (4 Skeets per BLU-108). The Skeets are the explosive part that contain the targeting sensor(s). The Skeets are then thrown out and start "coning", it is kind of a controlled wobble. When the Skeets sense a target, they fire an explosively formed projectile at the target. We called it "The Bomb of Seven Miracles" even though by my count there are a couple of miracles uncounted. 40 tanks with one shot??? Bahahahahahaha! No...

Excellent weapon but very unrealistic video. Actual kill ratio on a single 40 round canister in final testing was between 7-9 kills. Quite effective even at that seemingly low number. In actual use the typical scenario would be 2 canister units per plane. Even in a heavily concentrated enemy deployment 6 canisters on a single pass would be considered a waste of resources. Finally the canisters were designed for a strip deployment with a horizontal run/drop (Convoy use) and not a near vertical drop and deployment. Interestingly they also have a ground deployed version with single round operating in a pop-op shot. The round goes up to around 100 + feet spinning and seeks the heat source/target. Launch was designed to be triggered off of ground vibration. Jeeps or similar vehicles would not trigger it. It would take a heavy combat vehicle. Overall it wad designed as a mobility kill as it fired on the heat source (Engines or Generator for a radar site). A tank with a destroyed engine is worthless, a sitting duck. Also the current racks on top of turrets would be worthless against this. Known as the sensor fuzed weapon. Awesome and frightening to see in operation. 40 rounds of that going off in quick a succession

Yep.. highly effective, destructive over a large area, and lethal to all. Thats why for a great many militaries, they were banned by the convention for cluster munitions. Of course, in my country, The United States, as well as Russia, and even Ukraine; they have refused or decided against, or never gotten around to signing that convention. And are not bound by it.
The convention was held and the treaty made, due to the fact that the lethality of unexploded cluster munitions, doesn't end when war time does, and many dangers face civilians, when any unexploded munitions remain on old battlefields. Much as how minefields have caused many civilian casualties after the wars and armies who laid them have all passed into history; the cluster munitions pose a similar threat do to the wide area of dispersion they spread out in during an attack. Anything unexploded can still go off later. Causing unintended deaths.
Thats why I think they should do something similar to what they do with rounds in heavy fire automatic weapons like the c-ram that explode if they travel too far or do not hit their target. Making it so each munition has a decay mechanism that once deployed, automatically destroys the destructive potential of any remaining munition. Or causes them to explode. So that nothing remains for peace times to find.
As for the ban; weapons are meant to be destructive, and lethal. Nice weapons shouldn't exist. As it just makes it easier for people to excuse using them. There are weapons that are so cruel that they really should never be used. And certainly not be used in any civilized war where the soldiers are intended to survive. But wars like that, where the stakes don't truly matter all that much, and they are only held for some political advantage, really shouldn't be fought anyway.
Some weapons are so destructive there really is no way to tactically use them on any battlefield, as the destruction that would follow is, or should be, considered unthinkable. But as for cluster weapon.. I think they have their uses in wars. And with some alterations, are an extremely effective weapon that should be in any serious militaries arsenal. At least those that have the technology to design and create them. So long as they aren't used frivolously.

    • @TrueSighted
      @TrueSighted 2 роки тому +1

@@wadeadams2775 Actually theres always rules in war. Its just that the opposing forces in the war itself might not always agree as to what those rules are. So you may get some agreement on certain things, but not all of them. And so you end up with two sets of rules that each side has imposed, and in the end, its the victor who normally ends up deciding whos rule set was right, and is ultimately used as the bar of what was ok, and what was a war crime..😅
Consider WW2 for example. Do you really think there would have ever been Nuremberg War Crime Trials, if the allies lost the war? There may have been some sort if public fanfare once the conflict ended, if the german, Italian and Japanese people had won, but its far more likely that if you were accused of a war crime by them, or even with simply opposing their "right" to take what they wanted; that you'd be more likely to be summerally executed on the spot in battle. As they did many times to prisoners. And they would have called that justified.
Only in cases where they actually took prisoners, and had them in their custody after the fighting stopped, would they have possibly made a war tribunal to decide their fate. And I doubt it would have looked anything like the Nuremberg Trials. And in Japan, it probably would have been the emperor's call. Yet because in this hypothetical situation, in which they actually won the war; they would be the ones setting the rules, and there wouldn't be anything the allies could do about it, even if they disagreed.
That's how the rules of war tend to work. So, if you do have to go to war, you best make sure you win. Especially if you want your values and rules and not your enemies, to be the rules and values that take priority at the end of the day.

Not on russia's side but am a analyst and have studied history and war for quiet some time now and am studying this war rn. Russia is in an amazing position militarily wise but financialy and politically not so much. Rule of thumb don't listen to the news for updates bc the russian news does their own propaganda while america does their own. The only way to truly see what is happening is study russia's previous wars and their tactics keeping in mind that they have learned from their mistakes as well and planned this for years. As well as study the casualties and territory lost. The news said america is doing great in Afghanistan for over 12 years till they realised that they can't lie anymore. I am not on either's side nor am a conspiracy theorist but have actually put time into this and find it quite sad but necessary for ukraine to go. Otherwise the balance of power will be greatly disturbed as it has been since the fall of the USSR. There will be a new era if russia wins. Believe it or not that era will be more peaceful since america won't be able to invade other nations freely anymore and nor will russia thus the world will be more stable. So don't support both but be wary and smart about whats coming. Sorry for the long lecture type thing man.

This bomb is sometimes called the "Weapon of Thirteen Consecutive Miracles." The only thing missing from this animation is when the bomblet retro rockets fire and initiate the spinning target detection sequence just before firing the shape charge. This ordnance was actually used on the main Iraqi convoy leaving Kuwait in the 1990s. Two miles of utter destruction.

This system was based on a submunition called "Skeet" and finally "SADARM". The system never found a home or a overall functional deployment. The concept was too complex; too many steps to succeed. Almost Wile E Coyote. There wasn't active guidance the probability of detecting the tank was merely by being at the right place at the right time.

I agree. Also, an explosion on a tank, covers (via smoke or thermal) automatically the next one tank, because of its explosion. So it is preferable to hit isolated units in a long distance each from the other, and not like a herd of parked or seated ducks.

My friend if you want to know the truth about it cluster bombs have never been used against troops on the battlefield or tanks or forts or fortifications they always been used against civilians hence the letter C, executive for civilians Israel use them all the time against the Palestinians the United States government said that we don't manufacture cluster bombs anymore no but enough all over the world so when no generals testify in front of Congress they tell the truth they use a double player on words so to speak princess Congress gets a lot of fat donation for the war manufacturer they just put up a circus front and it looks good 👍 now these Pentagon repositioning ships that's what they are these ships it's like a Walmart for the Pentagon you know they go to the ship get what they need and go back to doing whatever they do . I found this out from Christian science monitor newspaper back in the '80s when I was locked up in the prison system I didn't find out about this on the internet this is old information and guess what these ships are still in action they're out of the reach of any countries who might protest against is it no we don't want these ships here these are f****** massive super tankers they got everything the Pentagon needs operated by civilian contractors but remember that the government ain't got no money so pay your student debts also when I got released in 1990 I went to the US government civilian depository library which is a branch inside of a regular civilian libraries that's got manuals and books of every department or whatever and I saw a thick ass property owned by the United States government I didn't know where to start so I just slipped through the book and put my finger on some kind of weather research optimization station in Bolivia somewhere, it had a fancy name to it like Las Palmas you know operate about Noah and I thought to myself damn the government not only financed these places they own it at that time the internet wasn't even in my vocabulary sometime at 92 and 93 I actually didn't go there to find out government property I went there to find out those books from the DEA about how a crack you look high in the dope in a vacant house in the places where they can find it and I didn't know anything about that s*** until the inmate told me before I got out cuz I'm telling you now the government gives you detailed instructions on how to find crack cocaine and I thought something that is right there and I pulled the book from the shelf and read it and then I saw that part about government property on all around the world again the internet didn't have s*** to do with it I learned all this s*** from convicts prison ain't just a prison where guys dropped the soap and bent over prisoners crime University. Whether I'm learning about the world economic system from a former University professor that kills his wife cuz she was f****** somebody else or learning from a drug dealer I teach you not prison is not a prison you learn s*** from other convicts when you're not getting f***** in the ass.

Gee that’s really cool. It looks like 20 years of wars in at least two theatre’s of the Middle East and playing both sides of the conflict in Syria generated some damn fine bottom lines for the military industrial complex.
For all of the meat and money invested in those fruitless conflicts, aside from opium and human trafficking revenues and harvest for the elitists, the establishment has finally developed something that would take out tank columns with some flair.
There’s a problem though, the fighter aircraft, regardless of the flag it displays, has to get past the gauntlet of S-400 and S-500 anti-everything that flies-missile batteries first.
I like the F-15. She’s a true fighter aircraft to the maximum. But she doesn’t move at a minimum of Mach 10 to a maximum of Mach 20 depending on altitude and atmosphere, the S-400 does so effectively.
The assumption in the animated dazzle piece is that any given country that flies any fighter aircraft is going to fly into another goat herder state and face no real AA threat or an equal and worthy adversary in an opposing fighter aircraft. But it does make for a cool video.

Used in laos from the beginning and to the the end of the Vietnam war and every 8 minutes the United States from 1964 to 1973 used Boeing B-52 heavy bombers to bomb Laos, the secret war. No war in history including WWII dropped so many bombs. Over Two 2 million tons of bombs were dropped, more then a ton for each person. (Fact) the U.S. dropped bombs on laos from 1964 to 1973 for a total of 580,000 missions equal to a plane load of bombs every 8minutes. It made Laos the most heavy bombed per capita in history. But remember we're the good guys and the only one to use nuclear weapons on two major cities in Japan...just food for thought people.
