One thing to be noted from this is that Chris Hardwick did not make a public thing out of it when she cheated on him. He broke up with her and then he never spoke to her again. Everyone I've ever talked to that has had any sort of interaction with him says he is one of the nicest people alive. I hope they start pressing charged against people who do stuff like this.
psycold Exactly. The accusations don't fit in with any of the other aspects of his character, including those reported by other exes. It would be highly unlikely for this one relationship to be the only time he was abusive if he really had abusive tendencies. It just doesn't fit. Add in the fact that she lied multiple times about the situation and her story starts to seem more like a fever dream reimagination of the actual events.
How shocking, you found some woman who uses shared identity as reason for supporting a certain view point instead of actually using rational approach?!
She cheated and got dumped. He also married the heiress to Hearst which means she is loaded you can't tell me the ex girlfriend wasn't jealous and tried to ruin his life however she could.
What Joe said at the end really reminded me of a quote from one of my favorite movies Memento and it goes; “Memory can change the shape of a room; it can change the color of a car. And memories can be distorted. They're just an interpretation, they're not a record, and they're irrelevant if you have the facts.”
Fucking memento a great movie to watch Once I feel like after that original first time maybe one more if you miss something but I feel like it's a great movie but it's like one of those movies that I wouldn't pull out over and over and over again kind of like Requiem for a Dream but for different reasons also another great film but that one's just hard to watch but it is a two great movies
Joe was speaking retardedly when it comes to eyewitness testimony. It is one of the most reliable aspects of cumulative cases. Eyewitnesses can be tested to high degrees of scrutiny, and if found wanting, can be categorically or summarily dismissed. If not, we could not know what to accept or reject to even call eyewitness testimony faulty. It's a patently fallacious remark. That said... I side with Hardwick, and against the Mee Too Movement.
I just think that everyone is so quick to side with the accuser and immediate throw the accused under the bus (not just in this situation but in pretty much everything) and we can't even give the accused reasonable doubt. I always say to people: Wait until the whole story comes out. Don't make a quick judgment on one or two articles cause it normally bites you on the ass and in this case, It did for many people. In cases like this, If someone is abusive it normally bleeds into their social and professional life. Someone else would have come out with a story of bad behaviour, harassment or something of that nature. In this case, There's nothing. Nothing came out about Chris. In fact, You really had the opposite. You had a lot of people supporting Chris and saying how great of a guy he was.

That's messed up. Also when AMC reinstated Hardwick 26 people quit the talking dead show. Wish i was there when they walked out so i could have right on in.
Damn Joe's take on Chris Hardwick situation is actually fascinating, no one can really know what kind of perception of reality a person have, what you see or experience in a relationship or any situation is different from another person.
Jimbus Rift and Indigo Bourn, I think you both are misreading Threshold 2025's comment. When he says "non black and white person", he's referring to people who are able to view things with nuance. They don't think everything is necessarily either or, but rather shades of gray.
It's not fascinating, it's slander, from a woman who tried to hurt an ex, through the only avenue she thought left to her. How many women have you known make an ex out to be a monster, then will be back living with the man within weeks? She had too many lies, and inconsistencies, which all shined through, once he gave his side, with evidence. She had no evidence, and I didn't even read of many people backing her claims. This needs to be a more easily, chargeable offense, or it will keep happening.
CorbCorbin When I said its fascinating what I meant is I never consider thinking what kind of perception of reality or how does each indiviual person sees and interpret things. I'm not defending that Chloe girl, my initial reaction when I heard about this accusation is "That is one crazy ex trying to ruin an ex because that ex is doing great compare to her.". Like everyone on both sides weather you don't believe it or you hate the guts of Chris after hearing it, I jump to conclusion and basically judge a person I didn't even know. It's clearly a "Boy who cried wolf" kind of situation no doubt but who knows what kind reality is she living.
When going to a place that you have memories as a kid, you have to take into account that your seeing everything a few feet higer, so everything seems smaller and distances shorter
She might have some mental illness but she saw the writing on the wall when he released that text from her after 7 months apart and his exes came to defend him. She got caught lying, plain and simple.
After a long break from Black Mirror, I watched the crocodile episode, s04e3. It was crazy and now ill go back and watch from the third season, where i left off.
It’s terrible when people air their dirty laundry after a bad breakup. Worse when it’s vindictive lies. The publication is culpable for giving her a platform for her foolishness. When they are only concerned with making money, they lose judgement on what is fit for publication.
The thing that got me was how quickly people believed her and just assumed that he was this kind of person...rather then wait until there was more concrete proof ?
She seems to take no accountability for staying with someone who she says was mean to her 90% of the time. Even if everything in her essay is true, none of it is criminal. Being a controlling, terrible boyfriend is not a crime. Chloe needs to learn we teach people how to treat us. It's beyond outrageous that AMC would fire him over this. I hope she gets the help she needs.
This shit pisses me off. I went to high school with a guy that was in this situation a few years ago. She accused him of raping her at a party. he lost his job as a special education teacher, was a volunteer firefighter got kicked off, Fiance left him. After months of going to court found out she lied about the whole thing. Something about the time line didn't add up, so he was Acquitted but that doesn't make the news. His face was plastered all over the local news labeling him a rapist but when the charges were dropped nothing. She goes about her life and he now has to start to nothing because even though the charges were dropped people still look at you differently
It all depends on the other side. Chris Hardwick knows Chloe has troubles with herself and probably doesn't want to harm her in return. Its only a civil case, because none of this was brought to a trial. Only committing Perjury in court under oath can get you prosecuted. Anything else is a civil dispute.
CavemanJesus4Life Even still this sets the precedence that defaming/slandering men and ruining their reputations (and often their lives) for feminist purposes is ok. THIS IS NOT OK.
@@CavemanJesus4Life again these people are saying should be. Basically that the laws need to change so that women stop trying to fall asleep accuse men of sexual harassment Etc. It is destroying lives and Families and causing death even. Something needs to be done more than what is. This is the point that many are trying to make.
innerpowerup - 👍 I’ve experienced that. I’ve also had Girlfriends making friends with all my family so it’s hard to break up when things aren’t going. There’s too many possessive witches out there.
My understanding is that the woman wrote a book and included accusations about a horrible boyfriend. Someone on their own investigated and concluded it was Hardwick. So without any true official investigation or findings from real law enforcement, AMC immediately suspended him. This uprooted his life, career, and embarrassed him in public. What "investigating" did AMC do? Was it their place to do so? What were the results? What are they doing to fix Hardwick's life?
CavemanJesus4Life tbh I don’t think a girl that has high enough morals to be honest about everything she does probably wouldn’t do something like that in the first place
There is an episode of Hardwick podcast where he's interviewing his dad, and they talk about how much they both love Chloe, and its interesting to see who stood by him during the whole situation. His two fellow nerdist hosts, Matt and Jonah, who were on many shows even as they got more busy have NEVER been on a show since.
It was not just friends and colleagues that defended Chris Hardwick, but past girlfriends too. What makes these accusations come into question is that all this went through social media and let the court of public opinion condemn Chris.
Not entirely true. There were industry professionals who have corroborated the claim that he or those in his circle would make it harder for those who crossed him to find work in the future.
I was just wondering what ever happened to this. She said "try me, I have recorded evidence" in that post she wrote. And then she never brought out the evidence. The story just went away.
As a person who distrusts the allegation against Hardwick based on case by case intuition etc - I say the #1 reason you don't apply 'innocent until proven guilty' to the weirdo offering candy to your kids is because you understand that individual judgement has a vital role in society and in your life - even in the absence of clear cut proof. It doesn't mean you throw him down a ravine, but you don't grant him the same trust and offers as you do other neighbors. #2 reason: 'innocent until proven guilty' is a saying that specifically depicts the onus on the prosecution side in legal court to produce evidence beyond reasonable doubt, before convicting somebody by law to get an official sentence by the state including imprisonment. The standard goes back to the Magna Carta, and is a vital part of due process of law. It doesn't cover employment tenure or any mandate of public trust in the face of unsettled allegations. OJ Simpson is 'innocent' of murder in the legalistic sense of the word that you raise. Whether you let him marry your daughter is a different matter. That's what happened to 'innocent until proven guilty'. You apply it in court where it belongs, and you allow for value judgment and common sense to inform opinions and choices outside court.
Just another reason why I love Joe Rogan. He saw the truth in this situation as soon many others have as well. You can't consent to sexual with your BF and then call it assault in the next breath!
There needs to be protection for a man. Every girl who has an ex claims the man was something. She almost ruined his life over a lie. Men need to be able to sue a woman over this. Women have all the court support in the us. Equal rights right? Get divorced even if she CHEATS or files for it. She gets half and the kids and support. Lol yeah ok. Why are men saying nah to marriage I wonder
It's ironic that Joe is basically acknowledging how hard it is for young men to find a sane/normal young woman today while several times shitting on MGTOW.
He was fired the second those ACCUSATIONS arose. ACCUSATIONS!! Then they rehire him. Society is fucked up. A woman wouldn’t be fired for accusations...
She DID say in her article that towards the end of their relationship that she was seeing someone in hopes that she was going to be rescued. It was implied that Chloe cheated on Chris but she never wrote it.
But we do know every ex hardwick has came out and defended him they all know exactly how he treats women he is in a relationship with if it were true why would any ex defend him
This is the fear now all it takes is a liar to scream rape and destroys someone's life. Even though he's innocent you'll have the idiots who'll say "he still could've done it he probably threatened her to be quiet." Accusations like these are hard to escape even when you are found innocent.

Women have all the court support in the us. Equal rights right? Get divorced even if she CHEATS or files for it. She gets half and the kids and support. Lol yeah ok. Why are men saying nah to marriage I wonder
Joe just came up with the ultimate excuse Chloe could come up with "I had mental illness at the time!".
What a Simp.
This comment section is doing wonders for my faith in humanity.
Distorted reality is definitely something people need to mention more
I’m glad the truth came out. I like Chris.
I support Chris H. too. Chloe is crazy! She needs help.
She needs to be in prison. We need harsh new laws for those who make false accusations.
Just finished watching crocodile... 🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐
It's ironic that Joe is basically acknowledging how hard it is for young men to find a sane/normal young woman today while several times shitting on MGTOW.
Joe "For Shore" Rogan
Holy fuck they described my Ex lol 😂🤣
He was fired the second those ACCUSATIONS arose. ACCUSATIONS!! Then they rehire him. Society is fucked up. A woman wouldn’t be fired for accusations...
She DID say in her article that towards the end of their relationship that she was seeing someone in hopes that she was going to be rescued. It was implied that Chloe cheated on Chris but she never wrote it.
MarGoLuv she admitted to kissing someone else but anyone with half a brain would assume it went further than that
poorly titled but i guess thats for clicks. actually the title is closer to "Joe Rogan talks in detail about Chris Hardwick accusations"
Which black mirror episode was he talking about?
Trash Marcus Crocodile, he said it in the video my man.
I think it’s like the third or fourth episode of the newest season.
But we do know every ex hardwick has came out and defended him they all know exactly how he treats women he is in a relationship with if it were true why would any ex defend him
No one wants germs in their car .
This is the fear now all it takes is a liar to scream rape and destroys someone's life. Even though he's innocent you'll have the idiots who'll say "he still could've done it he probably threatened her to be quiet." Accusations like these are hard to escape even when you are found innocent.
"Well, we don't know what really happened and there's ZERO proof either way, so let's just believe whatever the woman says."
Until it happens to the person that believes that.
