  • Yes, I held a princess umbrella for my girlfriend in Davao City!
How did this happen!? Well I visited the amazing Kadayawan Village setup at Magsaysay Park. There were 6 houses representing each of the Moro Tribes that can be found in Davao. Each house was just incredible! From the colours, to the music, to the people...
This is simply a MUST VISIT if you come to Kadayawan Festival!!
This is just a simple video exploring and learning about Moro Tribes :)
    Super Apir!

As a Philippine anthropologist-archaeologist, I am quite happy that you've been featuring a lot of Philippine Indigenous Groups, more so, those of Mindanao. When Pinoys are asked to describe Philippine culture, they often refer to post-colonial representations of it. This is much needed exposure for them!!! Way to go, man!!! :)

It's great that our 'Ninuno' and the great brave tribes are featured the way they were (before the Spaniards) and are... There were a lot of misconceptions about our Mindanao brethren. Salamat Kyle for featuring our true culture, traditions and beauty to the world.

The Filipino Muslims in Mindanao has one of the most colorful and creative culture. I really love their art, music, and dance. They remained uninfluenced by foreign cultures.

Such an amazing old soul who can touch every different tribe in every different places and culture of a thousands of different islands in one country. The only person who been around in a not his mother country yet he showed his love to explore and share the beautiful differences in each and everyone, in every inch of where his feet goes and in every inch where the tires of his girlfriend Cindy goes, and by Understanding, Respect, and bringing that simple motive of "SMILE!" You did really good on using that light with you Kyle/Kulas! The Great source of Life/Holy Spirit and Devine of Lights are rejoicing with you. May the sleeping soul will see and do their purpose of coming here.
    Brighten up more that SMILE!!!
    AYOS KULAS!!! MAAYO JUD!!!

You should get your citizenship and Become A Filipino. This way, you can represent both Canada and Philippines. I can see from your videos that Filipinos really like you and you are not just another western tourist. Those people down there really like you man from what I see in your vids and they will take a bullet for you, for real.

Look at the craftmanship of these native products. They can compete against the Balinese items that are sold exorbitantly abroad. I've got two Tausug bff. Great people. We never felt our differences at all. I'm a Protestant Christian and we go along well.

Muslims have the great tradition ever. They are sweet people ive ever meet. Its just they were generalize with some who uses their religion jihad to go extremist. Those bad people are not real Muslim. Good Muslims are sweet. Treat them good and they will treat you the better. I remember one of our friend bring us on their celebration of edl fitri.. they have this tradition you must eat and drink all they serve you. So our friend warn us to wear loose shirt. And dont eat all food i the house who serve us. Just eat few coz we need to drop by to many houses of their relatives and we must taste all food or they will get offended if you dont eat even a little. Some we cant really stop eating when food is so yummy. So result is, we beg for our Muslim friend to go back to their house first and digest the food we take. Damn!!! Im over over full that moment. 😂😂😂😂
