Another great video Katherine! Hope your arm feels better soon! Been a long time watcher in my undergrad, but now I can say that I'll be following your vlogs in the fall as a FELLOW HISTORY PHD! Your videos helped to give me the courage to apply and achieve my goals, and so thank you!
I have a question for you. I ended up not turning in a conference paper due to stress and pressure of the deadline, and wow that was a horrible feeling (to not turn the paper in…and also the stress leading up to it). So, how do you get through a paper while under an impending deadline (that’s within a couple/few days)?
I'm so sorry for your experience! I'm not sure how I would do with a conference paper, but for me it helped knowing that this was a class paper and revisions would be expected. And honestly I think I would tell myself the same for conference paper, having now been to a few conferences! Just knowing that nothing is ever perfect, and everyone at the conference is presenting something that is a work in progress helps relieve some of the pressure! For this paper, I had also already done the research, so it was pulling it together/writing in the span of three days which also helped.
Hi, great video! I'd like to ask you where I can make an academic researh? Because I haven't done during my uni days and when I try to apply to PhD programs almost all of them require me to provide any relating academic research. So how can I tackle that? I'd appreciate it if you have any suggestions. Thank you!
Hmm I would suggest reaching out to a professor who you had in undergrad for suggestions. It definitely helps to have at least a primary research paper that is around 15-30 pages. Find a topic you would be interested in for your PhD, and do a paper related to that!
I think I should watch your videos to keep myself on track

Congrats, that's awesome!!! So happy to hear that! Good luck in this new chapter!
Hope you recover soon! Good luck finding more funding, hopefully it will come through soon.
Thank you! Recovery will be slow but on the right path now.
