I started watching your videos soon after covid started. My phd is from The OSU (in statistics in the 1990s), which is why your channel caught my eye. Just two comments. First, look forward to seeing you graduate, which is a great memory of mine to this day. Second, I also struggled with computer-induced pain (in my wrists). It took my body about 5 years to heal 95%, and I am careful to avoid overuse even now. Good luck with dealing with your symptoms!

Yeah, an update from you! Congrats on baby nephew and for the award! Glad your travels went well. I've always wanted to see Egypt and hope you have a lot of fun there. I'm still in year 1 of the PhD journey and so far have a chosen topic. It is something that has always interested me even during undergrad. Did you ever feel that your topic was not the one though?? If so, how did you overcome it? Thanks for the update, so good to hear fom you!
@@lizee708 thank you! I’m pumped for Egypt- congrats on heat one! Hmmm I think maybe in the first month? Bc my advisor and I switched my topic early on and I wasn’t sure if I actually liked it or if it was just picked for me, but I honestly am super passionate about my topic and think it’s a historian that needs telling- so that’s what keeps me going every day!
@@KatherineWeiss 2021 I think? the pandemic blurs stuff hahaha I worked on French poets on the front.. have quite a few poems about motherhood if you're interested!

It is definitely significantly more! It's a full time job!
