When KD performs in Canada she includes a lot more of her early country twang and even yodelling sounds. Such a dynamic artist.

And she's so incredibly humble and modest.

Thank you so much for posting this on my brother's birthday. This song, that was given to kd lang, after Leonard Cohen heard her song it, is my favorite version. I am sad today but being at work is helping me see there is hope for people struggling with drug addiction. Thanks again my wonderful friend and boss lady!

Her performance at the 2010 Winter Olympics was even better!

This performance was done for the Canadian Juno awards (our equivalent of the Grammys). Leonard Cohen himself has stated that Lang has performed it to “its ultimate blissful state of perfection.” Great reaction as usual!

Simply the single most underrated voice of my generation. Though she had some pop crossover success, Torch & Twang is where she ✨shines✨ Recommend her version of "Three Cigarettes in an Ashtray", or my personal favorite; her version of "So in Love" off the Cole Porter Red Hot & Blue AIDS Benefit Album ❤ Thanks for reacting, subscribed!

👍🏼👍🏼That same night, when Neil Young couldn’t make the Juno’s, K.D. did a beautiful cover of his song Helpless. You should check it out.

This is special because both Leonard Cohen and KD Lang are Canadian

I first heard K.D. Lang sing this in the opening ceremonies of the 2010 Olympics In Vancouver/Whister, Canada. She was kind of in a crow's nest, way up high. I think, to this day, it was one of the most moving performances I have ever experienced.

She is an exceptional vocalist and musician and truly inhabits a song...and the air around it ,journeying through a song and taking the listener with her . I have been lucky enough to hear her sing this live in several concerts and she always changes it a little ..feeling every line .
Her interpretations of Jane Siberry songs are incredibly powerful and moving along with her Joni Mitchell covers bringing a new dimension to them .She has written so many beautiful songs herself and I love her integrity and humility as a musician and a person .Loved your reaction .Thank you xx Please react to The Valley or Love is Everything ..The Max Sessions xxx they are a masterclass in delivery

Like Jeff Buckley, she lets the song breathe. Their versions are so powerful because they elevate an already beautiful song.

Ms. Lang is so incredibly humble. Her talent and voice speak for themselves. I'm not sure if this was an evening honoring Leonard Cohen but for sure he was in the audience near the front.
Ms. Lang sang backup for Roy Orbison in the performance video recording of A Black and White Night and subsequently I believe she's the only one who Mr. ever invited to share the stage. They did a duet of Crying which is both an audio and video recording. The latter can be difficult to find. They had a mutual admiration for both musical ability and religious commitment.
On another note, I don't know if you wish to review Fusion Jazz but if so, I would recommend you check out Dirty Loops either by themselves or one of the three joint performances they did with Cory Wong. DL are musicians' musicians but being fusion, their music is still very approachable to most. They're now produced by Quincy Jones which should tell you something.

I find the flashing and changing light on the commentator very distracting.
