(5) is usually used to show a note being held out, or a tied note. and P means pull-off, instead of plucking the second note just lift your fretting finger to get the sound.

@@davidscothern8513 Oh this is one of my favorite songs to play clean now. I picked this one up by memory quite a while back, and now I can play it whenever I want no problem. Actually didn't take me too long after that comment to pick up the song, just had to sleep on it, then work it up to speed the next day
