Also, the they could feel the huge push in their backs, but did not want to mess up the scene, and knew they couldn't flinch. Amazing episode, and a great premiere to a great season. A lot of the scenes in this episode involving the plane crash kind of revolve around Walt's potential guilt and kind of denying that. He says "look on the bright side" and blames it on old technology, and even if he isn't fully to blame, it's that he doesn't even want that piece of the blame that IS his. And then when Skyler confronts him with being a drug dealer, what does he focus on? What she said he was doing, and the drug itself. He says he's a manufacturer as if that's better and seems shocked that she's ever think it was marijuana he was in the business of. But at the very least, he did say to Gus in that scene that "what I don't have, is my family."
Seeing Walt thinking so hard when he set fire to the money... I felt like he was thinking "fuck the money and everything I did to get it. If I lose Skylar and kids, I don't gaf about it." His face was like a battle of ego vs sense and conscience.

Oh man. Those lines from Jesse and Walter. One confessing to being a bad guy, while the other is in denial, refusing to take any blame. That contrast alone says a great bunch in the directions their respective characters go in. You mentioning that people change reminds me of what Cap said in Captain America Civil War, and it was honestly the scene that actually made me realize I was on Cap’s side in Civil War. That government control over The Avengers means that it’s ran by people with their agendas, and that agendas change. The same applies in Breaking Bad with certain characters. Walter’s agenda and motivation especially starts changing in this season onwards, or depending on your point-of-view, rather becomes more apparent/clear on what his reasoning truly is. It reminds me of yet another superhero movie quote, one that suits Walter White perfectly. “You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.” Seasons 3 and 4 are the seasons I’ve watched the most of, and Jesse is honestly perhaps my favourite character from that point onwards, along with Saul, and especially Mike from Season 4 onwards, and in Better Call Saul. I’m already excited to see you start Better Call Saul after you’ve finished Breaking Bad. Breaking Bad is awesome, and Better Call Saul is excellent too! I’m looking forward to seeing your journey through Season 3, and more! Have a safe week
The plane crash is one of many incidents that Walt is indirectly responsible for and he never is willing to accept any responsibility. He’s also partially to blame for Hugo being arrested, Combo dying, Jane dying, and many more things to come.
@@wdg2736 She would have died soon. She was on a serious relapse and they were going to blow through the money on heroin. She was going to take Jesse with her into the grave. Jesse got her back into it, but she was going to take Jesse down with her. There is really no question about it.

Walt wasn't the direct cause of the crash. But if you do a full root cause analysis, he's in there. The bottom line is that if Walt wasn't there Jane wouldn't have been jostled and she wouldn't have died (at least right then). And if Jane was alive the planes wouldn't have crashed. Yes, Jane and her father made certain choices that also had impact in this happening, but you can't say that Walt played zero part in it happening.

As cringe as Walt’s speech is, it really is emblematic of Walt’s thought process, not just on the plane crash, but on his whole involvement of the meth trade. While he is directly responsible for Jane’s death, by selling his product he is indirectly responsible for many more deaths and destroyed lives. Whether it’s that he’s protecting his family, or by providing a service to those who would get high anyway, he is rationalizing his way through something that is constantly causing his moral deterioration.
I know you were talking about hoe you can blame everyone (Walt, Jessie, Donald, Jane, and Donald's employer. I agree 100%, but wanted to add one more thing. IMHO, Jane could have stopped Jessie from continuing drugs, her death, the plane crash, and probably a bunch of other things. I truly believe if she had continued walking out the door that night, Jessie would have stopped smoking the meth. He has always done it off an on, and it was not too hard for him to quit. Meth does not give you withdrawal symptoms of any kind, but makes you paranoid and is almost impossible to sleep, sometimes for days. So he would have only done it for a few days, but would have started missing Jane, and things would have got better and Jane would have not done it or introduced him to heroin, which IMHO, is 10x worse and arguably the most addictive drug that exists. I have done Crystal Meth at least a dozen times when I was younger, probably double that. It does nothing but make you paranoid and feel like crap and is very hard to come down. Even doing a couple of small lines would keep me up for several days in a row. Ironically, The first time I tried it was around 1997 and it was ground into powder and looked like fine little crystals. I live in Milwaukee and a friend of mine brought it back from Cali. I've not seen meth look like that since. It was one of the best highs I've ever had in the 20 years I've used drugs off and on (cocaine was the drug of my choice back then). The worst part of drugs is the paranoia & coming down. This had absolutely none of that. It was the exact opposite. Nothing but a fun and sociable time. Me and my friends went golfing, came back to the house and playedFoosball, then cards and stayed up all night talking and felt nothing but comfort and euphoria. The next day no hangover, and was able to fall asleep in the morning without a problem. Obviously every last timenI tried meth after that was horrible and I hated it. I would only do it when I would fight with my girlfriend or something really bad happened in my life. That was the easiest drug to quit for me personally. I know this became along comment but my point is that heroin is such a dangerous and addictive drug that can take only weeks to completely destroy and take away everything you've built in decades. I've seen it happen to so many friends and family. All Jane needed to do was wait out Jessie's relapse, and I honestly believe things would have took care of themselves in a few days. Jessie really did love her, and he would have eventually chose her over meth.
OR Jessie could have choose to NOT get involved with Jane (Andrea, women..) knowing he's a CRIMINAL and a Junkie who's criminal life impact the people around him🙄 How about Jessie NOT get involved with women and ruined their lives? Spend his time fixing himself first.. (this is valid for Andrea too btw)
@@stephyworld8713 I most definitely agree with that. Everyone claims that he was so innocent and mostly everyone else was evil. Not a single person was forced to do anything they didn't want to. "What we reap is what we sow!" Everyone needs to be held accountable for their choices and take responsibility. Same goes for Jane and Andrea. They both knew what Jessie was doing, but still made the choice to be on his life. In fact, Walt was probably the most innocent and law abiding person in the show, even more than Skyar, before his diagnosis. That is what really changed him. Sure, he was mad, jealous, and felt he was robbed of his ideas and hard work, so he was very vindictive. I think we can all agree he would have died that way if he didn't get a terminal illness.
The school assembly was a lineup of awful comments. Besides Walt, we had: -The slacker student who wants to use the tragedy to his advantage to avoid bad grades. -The girl who makes the admin uncomfortable by talking about God (actually the least awful comments). -The boy who talks excitedly about his neighbor finding human legs as if it were all just a spectacle. Actually, the two male students were even worse than Walt, I'd say (though that's not much of an excuse as he's a teacher). Then again, a teacher at my high school once gave a similar speech following a student's untimely death, so I suppose it's quite believable.
Just in this one episode alone, the quality in the story writing makes a huge leap forward. While I still enjoy season 2, it does spin it's wheels at times and I wasn't a big fan of the whole plane crash/teddy in the pool tease throughout the season . But everything from this episode on is simply some of the best TV of all time. Buckle up primate!

Walt has no empathy thus has no remorse. A person with empathy wouldn't get any satisfaction from engaging in these type of manipulative deceptions. He doesn't treult accept any blame for his actions. All his actions were totally justified in his mind, those poor airline crash victims were just unforseen collaterall. In the end, he IS to blame bc he watched her die and did absolutely nothing, it was just a happy accident for him. That being said, I didn't like the chick. I think she uses men like daddy and Jessie, to manipulate them in her favor as well. Both her and Walt are NARCISISSTS, Walt is just a rare greater narcissist (HG Tudor). If Walt does portray guillt, shame or remorse it's either a further emotional mirroring tactic, deceptive manipulation OR it's a reaction from a THREAT to his CONTROL.
@@ItsAPrimatee looking forward along with the rest of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Your reaction to this episode, it only gets better from here, my friend.

there’s another 167 deaths on Walter 😂💀
the more times i see this episode the more i hate that counselor. its not a mistake to strive for self improvement.
His point is you can't just show up and have that mind set. There's a process you need to get through before "true change" can occur
Best show ever made
As cringe as Walt’s speech is, it really is emblematic of Walt’s thought process, not just on the plane crash, but on his whole involvement of the meth trade.
OR Jessie could have choose to NOT get involved with Jane (Andrea, women..) knowing he's a CRIMINAL and a Junkie who's criminal life impact the people around him🙄
How about Jessie NOT get involved with women and ruined their lives? Spend his time fixing himself first..
(this is valid for Andrea too btw)
@@stephyworld8713 I most definitely agree with that. Everyone claims that he was so innocent and mostly everyone else was evil. Not a single person was forced to do anything they didn't want to. "What we reap is what we sow!"
Everyone needs to be held accountable for their choices and take responsibility.
Whats funny is the writing to Better Call Saul is even better than this
Walter did not let Jane die, he killed her by making her roll over my dude.
You have the best opinions about the characters and the show out of all the reactors I’ve watched
The school assembly was a lineup of awful comments. Besides Walt, we had:
-The slacker student who wants to use the tragedy to his advantage to avoid bad grades.
At the end of the day, if Walt hadn't decided to start cooking meth, a lot of bad stuff would not have happened to a number of people.
lmfao I skipped over Walter's assembly speech because of the second hand embarrassment right into you saying how awkward it was!
Man if you think it’s great now just wait lol
A little late to the party, as you know I’ve been out all day, But
You could also say I’m early cuz Patreon 😏.
🤨
Just in this one episode alone, the quality in the story writing makes a huge leap forward. While I still enjoy season 2, it does spin it's wheels at times and I wasn't a big fan of the whole plane crash/teddy in the pool tease throughout the season . But everything from this episode on is simply some of the best TV of all time. Buckle up primate!
I think having the intended session 1 finale at the beginning of season 2 created an artificial lull in the season.
And Better Call Saul is even better. Fight me
i think better call saul and breaking bad are equally awesome the movie is the weakest imo
So that means you watched the
"IFT" episode huh ??
So what you think the title of the episode 3×3
stands for ????😅🤣
Lmao
keep it up also watch better call saul afterwards and if you want to as well watch el camino the breaking bad movie however i think the weakest of the franchise is the movie
3 Mill for 3 Month is a rip off !! 🤣🤣 he would make 10s of Million if he get just 10% of all the product sold in the 3 months that he cooks 💪🏽Walter Effin White !! 🤣
Have you seen "The Wire"
Nope but I’ll keep it in mind!
better call saul is amazing aswell the movie imo is the weakest of the franchise. hope they decide to do more in the world because so many characters are masterpieces in the franchise
Hahaha I love that you love the show 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Are you going to watch lord of the rings: rings of power series? It’s starts of a bit slow but get’s really good later on.
If you are going to watch it, a tip, watch the movies before and get a little reminder of the characters and other things.
Plan to!
Nice 👍🏼
😃
Never forget that Skyler was willing to divorce Walter over him dealing weed.
It's not just that, but also over him keeping his dealings secret from her. Relationships are built on trust
It was 2008, and her brother in law was in the DEA. It's not "just weed', not in her position and that time.
Suuuuuiiiiii
If you think Walter is responsible for the plane crash than you should also think Jessie is aswell
U should do vikings
The old dude who tried to run pissed me off he could've got back in the car and drove away.
I blame Jane
Will you be reacting to El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie?
Eventually yes
@@ItsAPrimatee looking forward along with the rest of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Your reaction to this episode, it only gets better from here, my friend.
Noti!
Gang!
It's Donald's fault... period! If we want to go with who's indirectly responsible, why not go all the way back to who started her on drugs in the first place.
If Walt had saved her this wouldn't have happened. Well if she never would have started in the first place it wouldn't have set the path to the plane crash too
Relax dude, it’s just a show. It’s all make believe. You don’t have to go so hard in the paint to defend Walt.
This is a common theme, but its important to mention: I hate that Skylar!!!!
