The moment Dean Norris won me over as an actor was the scene where he slugs Walter in his garage. There’s a long moment where he and Walt just look at each other, and he says, “I don’t know who you are.” (It shows it in this vid). There’s this quite emotional tension in his voice and in his eyes, like he’s saying goodbye to someone he used to know. He could’ve won an Emmy for that moment alone.
The irony of Jesse not originally being planned to make it past season 1, but ultimately being one of the few characters alive at the end of the show is mindblowing

I love how raw and emotional Jonathan Banks was. Such a contrast to Mike. One of the most incredible casts and yes Jonathan, this was the best show ever made. EVER.

It´s strange to me, how Bob Odenkirk - usually seen as the talky Saul, the guy everyone wants to shut up, seems like the most quiet one of them all. When everybody laughs loud, he just smiles a little.
Anna Gunn did not deserve the hate she got as Skylar. She played the role perfectly. I think the character of Skylar should not have been hated as much as she was. For me, she was the most realistic character in the show.
@@rwbyab7423 I started watching BB a few years ago, made it up to season 3 and then stopped watching it for some reason. A few years passed and i started it again from the beginning two months ago and finished it yesterday. And before I started again, i had skyler as a bitch in my memories and hated her. But after watching it a second time, and finishing it, i dont understandt why I and the rest of the people in the internet hated her so much. The only thing thats wrong of her is cheating with Ted. Cheating is always wrong, no matter the reasons or situation. But everything else, walter puts on her. He puts her and her kids in danger. And shes just scared for the safety of her kids. I dont see nothing wrong with reacting how she did. Its all Walters fault
It hit so hard when Jonathan Banks looked like he was holding back his tears to the point where it even made me start tearing up a bit, and then Bryan Cranston saying “My favorite scene was killing Mike Ehrmantraut” right after made me go from emotional to laughter in a blink of an eye. I love this cast so much and forever will.
@@Annarbormich I think Bryan didnt interject Jonathan instantly after he talked. You can see that when he is saying "And I love Mike" he's holding his cup with two hands and then when we see Bryan making his joke he's holding it in a different position. There's a cut, maybe he made the joke a few seconds after Jonathan finished, to lighten up the mood a bit, but not interrupting him disrespectfully
@@Annarbormich It's a guy thing. You lighten the mood by interjecting something emotionally totally inappropriate/funny, to pull someone out of himself when he's getting stuck in sadness. It's a mercy thing. And it ends in a laugh. Best of all worlds and felt as a relief to everyone in the room, including the person you just gave a little shake by kidding him around.
I totally agree... she was so genuinely about it; her character was one of my favorites. She was such a strong dynamic with her piercing investigations. She also played so believably almost like her own thoughts are their own actress, because her thoughts are written on her face naturally...
Her return in Better Call Saul was such a perfect addition to the shows finale, she nailed it; like you said she's so invested in her character even though it's been years since she last played it, I'm so glad they put her in the last episode of BCS, made sense and closure, amazing actress.
Will never forget the scene in the elevator when we see him fall apart in her arms, then they walk off the elevator like everything is fine. She knew his feelings, but also protected his pride.
The fact that BB almost didn’t get picked up and was turned down by almost everyone makes you wonder….how many “Breaking Bads” are out there that have never seen the light of day!?
Current Example is MINDHUNTER,,.... No one watched it ... it was getting very expensive for the creators so haulted at season 2.....I wonder where it could have gone ... *Also BB is My all time fav nothing comes near it :'(
Seeing Jonathan Banks get emotional is so opposite of the character he plays but it really shows how amazing he is. he can act as a hardened hitman but deep down he is a very soulful guy!😭
It's such a shame Krysten Ritter wasn't available to talk about Jane. I would've loved to hear her approach to playing someone going through addiction and what she thought of the character.
@@1zy True enough, but narratively she was important and she got to be a character in her own right through what we saw of her relationship with her dad and her effort to stay sober. Both of my late parents LOVED Breaking Bad. Unfortunately my Father passed away from cancer before the last 8 episodes were aired & my Mother passed away before "El Camino" came out. For my Father, especially not knowing what would happen to Walt, was heartbreaking for not just him, but me as well. I watched those last 8 episodes on first airing with a heavy heart. I miss both of my parents so much. 😪
I lost an old friend in 2012 and that was actually one of the thoughts I had, "damn, he never got to know how Breaking Bad ends." The show was just that damn good that even among the colder, harsher realities of life, you still thought about it.

I can totally relate! My mom also passed away, from cancer, before El Camino came out. She and I used to watch Breaking Bad together, and we both loved it. I don't think I can ever watch it again, because it hurts to think back on a time gone past with her now gone. But I am so sorry for your loss! It must have been hard watching the last episodes without your father. God bless you, and I hope you are wel and living a good life.

If it's ok for Mike Ehrmantraut to shed a few tears then it's ok for the rest of us too! Like the cast and writers, the viewers have been emotionally invested in the Gilliganverse for over a decade and that final episode of Better Call Saul will be the end of an era for us all. Thank you for two of the greatest series in the history of television Vince!
Well said, man. I both can't wait for the last episodes of Better Call Saul to air, and am also dreading it as it's going to be so bittersweet to see the story of this universe come to an end.
Dude, Vince himself literally said he has more BB lore planned to come after the conclusion of BCS. I started to feel almost annoyed hearing that but now if that's what you guys actually want?? What a joke...
@@davida7229 Last I read he was saying that he thinks after BS, despite having more ideas, he and Peter Gould feel they need to step away from the Breaking Bad universe for a while.
This show came on when I was 67 & I was raised on sweet, happily ever after, safe tv shows. Well wow Breaking Bad blew my mind, kept me addicted to the storyline, & had me unable to miss one single episode. The ending was perfection with the machine gun killing the real bad guys, Jesse escaping, & Walter white saying good bye to his creation "baby blue" meth. It was the best roller coaster ride of a tv show ever. So glad I found the courage to stick with it. Thank you Gilligan & the actors for this slice of reality.
And the final song set the torn, melancholy finish so perfectly. Like soothing us all at our time of tremendous loss of a loved one, yet filling us with memories of the good times we had. It was brilliant all around. No ending is ever as beautifully crafted , as breaking bad. I read someone in Colorado? Wrote an obituary , that was published in the paper for Mr. White. Photo and all. I wish I thought of it. Imagine if everyone did.
I used to hate Skyler. The first few seasons, even the whole first viewing of the entire series, I disliked her for breaking Walt’s balls. Yet, at a second watch through, I really sympathized with her and realized that she was a real victim and Walt was actually the monster! That was some great acting! She did such a good job I didn’t like her, then I ended up feeling for her.
Yes I recently re watched after years and realized Skylar is the actual victim. The fact that she’s right 90% of the time too…but is lied to, left hanging and told she’s crazy over and over is sick. Plus how everyone HATES her for smoking (which is wrong while pregnant obvi) when Walt was literally killing people 🤨
Walt is actually the worst and one of the most toxic and selfish characters ever! Somehow still want him to win (most of the time). Such a brilliant show.
To be honest, I think everyone was a victim from Walter White. They've all suffered from him in a way. IMO the biggest victim is Jesse because of all the things he suffered.
I really was trying to tolerate walter until he poisoned brock and manipulated jesse, after that I was just thinking he HAS to die, and im not gonna lie seeing him beg walter jr to take his money kinda made me smile
I love Bob Odenkirk. I recently rewatched Wayne's World 2 and didn't know he was thw dorky guy that said "My mom gave me a dollar and dropped me off at the park and ride".
If Bob Odenkirk is your favorite actor of all time I highly recommend you read his memoir that recently came out if you haven't already called, "Comedy Comedy Comedy Drama". A fantastic book all about his life and work. If you get it on audible he even narrates it himself.
After all these years, this is the only show from beginning to end where it was just perfection. I've re watched the entire series several times over the years, and it still feels like the first time.
The fact that Vince Gilligan was kinda writing this all by the seat of his pants, is honestly incredible. Its mind boggling how he still managed to still pull off this masterpiece. That takes some serious skill.

Jonathan banks getting that emotional was really nice. As weird as that sounds, it’s nice to see people be vulnerable and honest about experiences that had such a great positive impact on their lives. We don’t get enough happy tears in these situations, and given the casts chemistry they all seemed like a family, it sounds about right to feel the way he does.
It still fascinates me that the writers posses so much magic. Aaron Paul was intended to only play one or two episodes to introduce Mr. White to the drug world. It's a credit that they recognized Aaron's talent and that Aaron hit it out of the park over and over again. To help the ensemble cast to be awesome.

There have been times when I haven't cried when someone died in real life. But I actually cried when Hank died. I've never been so emotionally attached with the characters of a show. The level of writing and acting of this show is on a whole another level.
I'm watching BrBa again (might be the 7th or 8th time, I've lost track), and every episode I can't help but say 'I love this show.' Vince and the writing team are masters at what they do. The ending scene in which Walt just falls dead on the floor with the camera zooming out, I was crying, it was like I knew the character did horrible things but I had this kinda smile as well. Kinda like "sleep now you genius bastard, I love you." A good closure, I must say. I'll never forget that.

Nothing was wanted that was dramatic.
@@bigcnmmerb0873 not saying it wasn't well made but what was the point? If we figured that jesse got a happy ending, why did we need a movie to confirm? I personally just found it boring because it was everything I expected. Also others felt the same way, it was a "been there done that" experience. Todd tortured Jesse (yeah he did that in BB too), Jesse had to figure a way to get the money for the vacuum guy (probably since he just escaped the neo natzis), Jesse goes to Alaska (he already brought that up in BB and everyone figured he would probably go). So like i said it just felt pointless. It didnt add anything to the BB story. It felt like the only reason that they did it was just so they could tell the fans that walt was confirmed dead and jesse got away.
"Five-Oh" has got to be the best Mike Ehrmantraut episode, ever, as we learn what Mike did in Philadelphia to Fenskey and Hoffman in retaliation to what they did to Mike's son Matt and that he went through the rest of his life with that anguish all the way to the end of his life at Bosque del Apache Park at the hands of Walter White. Myself and my wife just finished binge watching this series and El Camino today. In 2008 my son at 7 years old was diagnosed with cancer, and for years I could not watch any stories related to the subject. This series is simply a masterpiece. There is so much in this classic tragedy to unwind in regards to psychology, social problems, and family dynamics. I had to laugh when my son called me today to tell me jokes related to the series, and I am grateful for having such a great family life. Now it seems that I will have to check out "Better Call Saul", as I am still reeling from such a great performance by so many talented artists.
You are in for a treat my friend. Better Call Saul delves much more into the characters' relationships and their emotions. It's a masterpiece on par with Breaking Bad, it even surpasses it at times.

My husband and I were very late to the game in watching both series; however, we have now (in a very short amount of time) managed to get through all of Breaking Bad, followed by El Camino, and we’re midway through Season 3 of Better Call Saul … both genius writing and acting! Best TV series (both) ever!!!
If Betsy Brandt is interested in a show about Marie Schrader, I would like to see that, especially if it takes place after "Breaking Bad" and shows how Marie does after the show. I don't think it should be a show about how somebody "breaks bad" like both BB and BCS have been, but to make Marie, and to a lesser extent Skyler get on with life after losing their husbands and how Marie went through a tougher time. I would set it 10-15 years after "Breaking Bad" and "El Camino" and that Marie has been through the ringer a few times and now has to recover. It would be a nice change to see a character "break good" in this timeline.
This is still the best TV shows, bar none, and its stories go beyond borders and strike a chord in anyone who has been struggling to make his meet for his family. Inside us there is always a Heisenberg inside of us when we are forced in the environment. But almost all of us do not have the guts to go through that, almost.

I’m not sure we’ll ever see another run of TV that lives up to the Breaking Bad-Better Call Saul-El Camino run. Incredible, airtight, edge of your seat writing with a cast that is perfect in every role, doesn’t overstay its welcome or try to extend run time in spite of the story not needing it, every setup pays off in a satisfactory way, perfect ending…. You just don’t get this in TV anymore
I agree, and Better Call Saul (I still need to catch up on season 6) has so far avoided all the mistakes other shows spin offs have done. I normally wouldn't say this about any other TV show but I think a Gustavo Fring spin off would be great (with some younger up and coming actor playing the young Gus in the 80s). While they're extremely unsympathetic, a spin off about the Salamanca family would also be interesting, so would a KIm Wexler spin off (Still awaiting to find out what her fate is in the final season of BCS, i hope she doesn't die)

@@jodylynn840 lol my brother called me today and told me I needed to watch that. So I’m gonna check it out! Thanks.
A series about drugs making you addicted. Lmao
@@jodylynn840 Ozark was very good but not on the same level as BB/BCS, and the ending kind of sucked.
Check out the Boys. The best television since BB and GoT
By far the best show ever. I can honestly say every minute watching it was well spent. The casting for each character was simply amazing.
I gave breaking bad a shot at the start of the quarantine and it quickly became my favourite show and still is my all time favourite. Started showing it to my mom a while ago and I told her its a little slow to start but give it time cause its almost like a tease, we've just met saul and I can just feel everything really pickingup and coming together and she loves it!
U should watch better call Saul if you haven’t already
@@SlimTimmi oh im waiting for the next part of S6 to come out, that mid season episode was wild
Yeah I entered that world 4 years ago. There's just I think objectively not a show ...besides now BCS of course that ever operated at that level. The plotting was as iron-clad perfect as a show could possibly hope for.
Yeah it took a while for me to pick up, back in 2011 I watched the first season and wasn't impressed at all so I stopped, thankfully I gave it another shot in 2014, around when Saul is introduced is when things start to really get going imo, I've watched the show like 6 or 7 times since.
@@carstereobandits well that's mer swell. I watched a bit of it but couldn't get into it and than I binged a ton of shows and than gave it another chance and the second try, I basically finished that series in like a week lol
I really want to see a spin off featuring more of Mike. I love how much of a role he played in Better Call Saul. I’d really like to see Mike’s beginnings. His character is easily my most favorite out of both series. I love how he will get his hands dirty, he won’t cast judgment, and at the same time he has this unspoken code or line that he will not cross no matter how much money or what he is offered. How Mike met his demise was totally unexpected. I didn’t expect him to get killed. I figured he would be like be like Shane, we’d see him riding off, maybe slumped over, not really knowing if he lives or dies.
I’d rather see a spinoff following Jesse and his adventures up in Alaska.
i want it to end already, there's no more loose ends left
@@gb76231 Nonsense. Jesse is still alive. He is up in Alaska, he has a little brother still down in ABQ. His little brother could end up in trouble and Jesse has to head back and risk everything to save him.
@@SuperTrb0 that seems like a simpsons plot ngl
no,stop miliking it
Albuquerque New Mexico is the unsung hero of the show. I’m a little biased being born and raised here, but finding out that it was never meant to be set here was crazy to me. It’s so integral to the charm of the show!
Potentially the greatest tv drama ever, with the most sad but completely satisfying ending. That’s really hard to do.
Don’t forget to see the Sopranos & Sons of Anarchy & MadMen
Mad men was boring asf but sons and sopranos I can applaud
Breaking Bad is that show that I'd want my grandchildren to watch and tell their kids about as well. Watching this series felt like a fever dream
1:02:51 Bryan has some of the greatest comedic timing of all time lmao, how does he think of these jokes on the spot
Hanks death made me cry so much hell I started crying when his partner died cause i knew what was gonna happen next. Dude I’ve never cried this much for anything. Hank was the real hero and I loved his role. His final words will forever be my favorite quote in all of tv
I’m glad he died with his best friend. His partner
Just finished watching Breaking Bad for the first time. I am completely blown away and absolutely adore this cast. I wish Skyler and Gustavo could have been seated at the couches too! Love them all so much
have you watched El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie? and Better Call Saul

Never before had I been so emotionally attached to a show.
I still remember watching this masterpiece on tv, when all episodes were 'warm and crispy'. It made me tear up back then, and it still makes me tear up. I loved to see every single minute, as I still do with the same excitement. The greatest gratitudes to the writers, directors and producers, to the cast and the crew, they all made something that will remain for a long time. If I'll have kids, I'm going to show this series to them when they grow old enough.
Never had the opportunity to watch this till a year ago. I jave since watched it from beginning to end 4 times. Beginning the 5th! Amazing actors. Fell in love with Anna! Jesse and Hank were my heroes!!
I just finished my 4th time through also. Might wait a while to start the 5th. Absolute best show ever made. By far.
Have any of you watched better call saul? Thoughts?
@@Eserr7856 great also, but the pacing is way different than BB, i'd recommend to watch bcs at least couple of months after BB, it'll sink in better imo
I can't constantly rewatch it, it's highly despressing
You watched it 4 times in a year? Get the f out
A character that was written on paper to die. He lived 5 seasons, got his own movie, and cameos in a prequel. And at the end, he gets the best happily ever after.
The greatest show of all time. Perfect writing, acting and casting. Nothing will ever compare!
"This guy's got range!"
"You're god damn right."
Absolutely perfect use of that clip!!! lol
46:02 that moment when Jack's crew drives up gave me a feeling I can't explain and that I have never experienced in any show or movie before or since. The reality of what them showing up meant was about to happen just hit me like a ton of bricks! There are so many moments in this show that hit hard but not as hard as that one. What an epic story and show!
Came back here after Jesse and Walt’s return in Better Call Saul. Even after nearly a decade this show’s impact can still be felt across television.

My husband and I were very late to the game in watching both series; however, we have now (in a very short amount of time) managed to get through all of Breaking Bad, followed by El Camino, and we’re midway through Season 3 of Better Call Saul … both genius writing and acting! Best TV series (both) ever!!!

Bryan, Bob, Aaron, Giancarlo, and so on... one of the greatest casts ever assembled.
@@californicatedcoloradoan3558 maybe not a show, but I'm guessing a short film or a movie might be able to do that.

This is still the best TV shows, bar none, and its stories go beyond borders and strike a chord in anyone who has been struggling to make his meet for his family. Inside us there is always a Heisenberg inside of us when we are forced in the environment. But almost all of us do not have the guts to go through that, almost.
The perfect song to end the series. Such a fantastic scene. The best show I've ever watched.
Vince really made 3 perfect entries to a franchise _in a row_ and then had the humility to say "now we stop before it can get bad"
I thought everyone overhyped this show cause it would always be on the front page of Netflix. Watched it 5 months ago and just recently finished watching Better call saul's ending what a masterpiece of a show followed up by a fantastic spinoff and conclusion to all characters of the show
I love them all so much, and to see Jonathan Banks get emotional at the end was so charming and moving.
I was one of the few people that watched every episode of this show the first time it aired. I was hooked from day one.
Damn, the suspension and anticipation must have been brutal! I first watched BrBa after it already finished, so as you can imagine it was an almost non-stop binge.
Huge Respect man. I wouldn’t have survived the anticipation of waiting that long!
I'm home with the flu and there are reruns of Breaking Bad on right now, instantly came to UA-cam to find this. Now I'm crying because I love this show and actors so much, so brilliant. Oh to watch BrBa for the first time all over again. Pure brilliance. Best show of all time!!

BB is the best - but the Wire is still numero Uno.
Better Call Saul is still on dingus
@@kylmon4759 well obviously lol, the perfect ending bit was more about BB and El Camino but it looks like BCS is going to have a great ending as well

I met Giancarlo and RJ a few years back and they were the nicest people you could wish to meet.

Hank was my favourite character, he was played so beautifully. Started off as a complete meathead and then his character went thru so much pain & development.
That was brilliant. The real emotions of the actors behind the scenes. Really incredible. There will never be another Breaking Bad
