  • I got an incredible deal on the Pat's Quick Hitch System and I install it in this video. Will make the task of hitching implements faster and easier.

    Hi! I saw that you subscribed or my channel so I came to check out yours and now you have a new subscriber too! We hav several things in common including Kubota tractors and we both have the Pat’s Easy Change system on our 3 points. I have had mine for over a year now and have really enjoyed it.

      I looove your versatile carry all, so I'm gonna build one as well. I'll use your same design and modify a bit for some of my lumber tools. I also like your chain boxes, but I'm thinking of using U bolts over top rubber innertube material to mount the boxes. Not sure yet. Your instructional videos are top-notch! Thanks for watching and subscribing!

    You don't need to lock them open to attach implements, you only need to lock them open to detach. The spring loaded action will allow them to grab the pins, and close on them once they clear. Helpful if your implement isn't on perfectly flat ground because sometimes you grab and lock one pin before the other. Great video.

    Should the Pat's hitch be moving up and down like that with the shim and pins in place?

    I love mine, although it extended the length of the lift arms by 4 inches which made the top link a bit short for all of my attachments. Did you experience this problem?

      @homesteadpilgrim  3 роки тому

      Yes I have an earlier video discussing that my stock top link is too short and I had to get a longer one to fit all but one of my implements

      @@homesteadpilgrim I just ordered a 37" extended top link. Had to take Pats hitch off for now. I have gotten so spoiled with the Pats hitch that it is a real pain to hook up without it.

    Can you leave spreader bar in place ?

    • @homesteadpilgrim
      @homesteadpilgrim  5 років тому +1

      Hi Steve, no, the spreader bar must be removed before starting the tractor back up and moving. The instructions note that it will interfere with the PTO and it is not built to take the stresses under load. It is only meant to help keep the arms spread at the distance unique to each implement (you can put markings with different paint for each implement) while you back up to hitch to the implement. Thanks for watching!
