Why did Thanos trust Loki? What exactly does the Pym Particle do? Why did Howard Stark keep his secret message in a blooper reel? These are just a few of the questions we’ve been left wondering after going back and rewatching these entire MCU franchise.
Here’s the deal, managing a multi-movie universe was never going to be easy. Kevin Feige and the other supervising producers at Marvel/Disney needed to adjust on the fly often. On top of that, they needed to manage the director and writer’s visions for each movie to blend with the MCU’s overall trajectory as a franchise. That’s a tall order and hence the reason there are a few mistakes like the ones around Loki’s scepter, the Avenger’s missing in action, Captain America’s arrival at The Raft, Iron Man tech, Gamora’s seedy past, the various infinity gauntlets wondering around the cosmos, and even Bruce Banner’s inconsistent memory. We’re barely scratching the surface with that long, long list.
Plot holes are also unresolved plots like Thor’s stone vision and Betty Ross as a person. We will get to all of this in the video, so you’re going to have to tune in to see what we mean. Simply put, this one is for every Marvel fan that ever had a question about a scene or detail. This video will illuminate all those plot holes and help offer possible answers--well, for some of them at the very least.

Biggest problem with Ant Man is they say that mass remains the same. So tiny Ant Man should stay the same weight. Which creates problem for every scene that Ant man is tiny. If he's on someones shoulder they should feel a 180 pounds on their shoulder.

I really enjoy Ant man but I feel like it has a lot of plot holes. In Ant Man and The Wasp they wait until hank is in the quantum realm before shrinking the lab but a few scenes later they decide that they can shrink the car they are in and they automatically shrink with it as well. Also in the first movie they establish that the helmet is needed otherwise shrinking will alter your brain chemistry. They shrink in the car neither Hope or Luis is wearing a helmet.
Like I said, I really enjoy Ant man but it’s full of plot holes and struggles to be consistent with its own logic

Ant-man and anyone who uses the Pym particles probably have an oxygen tank in their suits. When shrinking, the tank and the oxygen molecules shrink as well. Something that doesn’t need explanation not getting explained isn’t a plot hole. They said Tony’s suit for example, it’s powere by his arc reactor so why is he charging it with a car battery? Well it’s also a remote controlled suit so what happens when he’s not in it? His suits from the mk42 and up all have their own arc reactors for that purpose (also because he got his removed)

1)It's never said that is the only day he can be challenged, the priest ask if every tribe is ok with T'challa becoming the king. They are surprised when M'baku challenges T'challa, because apparently the panther tribe hasn't been challenged for the throne in generations.
      2) Black panther and king are two different titles. The black panther is the champion of the panther tribe, their best warrior who obtains the power of the heart shaped plant to do his job.
The king is the leader of the ruling tribe so the ruler of all Wakanda. Since the throne can be decided by duel, the logic is that the best warrior of the tribe take the crown to secure that his tribe remains in power.
I don't remember if is stated in the movie the reason to renounce to the Black panther power for the duel, if is a rule or a question of honor. In the story is necessary so Kill longer could defeat T'challa, but in the comic this isn't the case, and the Black Panther fights at full power.

EVERYONE has missed the MOST MAJOR error of the MCU! In Avengers, Strange goes through THOUSANDS of possible options and uses his stone to return to the present to report on the ONLY option for success, right?
This means he NEVER explores any future where he gives up HIS stone because if he gives up HIS stone he cannot return to the present to report if it successful or not.
Doctor Stranger cannot explore ANY future where he gives up the time stone because he won't be able to use it again.
Fill in the blanks of the small errors in my description of the MOST MAJOR mistake, but the concept is presented but it's not really important enough to me to exactly research the (for example) the number of futures Doctor Strange explores (avoiding those where he gives up his stone forever).

The Spider-Man Far From Home story is entirely built around one big plot hole. The late Tony Stark bequeaths Peter Parker the EDITH Glasses giving him control over Stark Technology and weapons systems. That premise is what drives the entire movie and sets the main plot in motion.
The problem is Stark could have never possibly bequeathed anything to Peter Parker. In Tony Starks timeline, Peter Parker had been dead for 5 years, only coming back after the Hulk Snap. Tony only lived a short time after Peter Parker came back after 5 years, dying no more than a few minutes or hours later. So when exactly would Tony have bequeathed anything to a dead Peter Parker? Much less an EDITH technology that existed 5 years later.

@Commentating Account You call that "easy"? Tony Stark makes this incredibly powerful, world altering security technology, then sits down with his Corporate legal team and bequeaths it to someone who has been dead for years? Highly implausible, but even if he did, creates the Plot Hole since that is never explained.
And no, EDITH wasn't around before Infinity War. This is a MASSIVE Plot Hole that cannot be explained, much less "easily".

As a fan fiction "author." the one plot hole that drives me nuts is that there is ZERO information AT ALL in the MCU about Pepper Potts. There is a little in the comics about Pepper Potts apart from how she got her nickname and how she became Tony's PA (those are both from the comics and remember she doesn't marry Tony in the comics, or have a child with him.) we learn nothing of what happens to her after Endgame (I'm keeping this spoiler free for a reason) and we know nothing of how Morgan grows up... Same goes for Peggy Carter...

I don’t think anyone has mentioned it but... ant mans suit is said to squeeze his particles together when he shrinks, making him the same mass just smaller, they say that his punches are like bullets, because it’s just the same strength of punch in a smaller point. However, when he grows big he is able to kick trucks and throw cars, yet the suit adds no mass so this just doesn’t make any sense. 🤷‍♂️

1:17 Just so you know, it's canon that Loki was mind-controlled during 'The Avengers', so the question of Thanos "trusting" him doesn't apply. My headcanon is that Loki sabotaged his own invasion because otherwise his actions make no sense. Fight me. ;-D
I also believe the important thing to Thanos was that two Infinity Stones were brought into synch with each other, which "woke up" all the Infinity Stones, causing them to start manipulating events leading to their reunion. This made it easier for Thanos to collect them. While he would have been happy to have collected the Tesseract and reclaim the Mindstone right then, as long as the Mindstone traveled through the Tesseract Thanos's ultimate agenda was being served. It was a classic Xanatos Gambit. Thanos is an immortal; he can afford to take the long view.
As far as 'Ragnarok' is concerned-- ignore it. Taika Waititi deliberately jossed canon at whim for cheap laughs, so it can't be reconciled with MCU canon. It exists within its own little AU separate from the main MCU universe.

If the time traveling avengers only had enough particles to travel once and back each, why did Nebula get captured by Thanos instead of going back and why did other Nebula come through and be able to send Thanos ship through later when there were enough particles for one more trip at the time. That broke the whole Endgame movie for me.

    • @zach1972

I don't think they used particles to get Thanos to 2023, I'm pretty sure they used their own tech (not even the quantum realm) to lock onto 2013 Nebula in 2023 and basically teleport through time to her

A potential, but only partial explanation of Ant-Man subatomics would be electron compression. Im not super well versed in the theory, but my understanding is that most of the volume of an atom is the atom's electrons orbiting its protons and neutrons. Theoretically if the electron orbit was reduced, it could allow for each individual atom to become significantly smaller, but they wouldn't be able to shrink smaller than the nucleus and thus wouldn't technically allow for subatomic shrinkage

  • @epicplayz4302
    @epicplayz4302 Рік тому

For the first one I have an answer. atoms are made up of sub atomic particles, mainly electrons, protons and neutrons. protons and neutrons are further made up of quarks, specifically up and down quarks. On top of this, we don’t know if quarks or electrons are made of even smaller particles. This means that when the atoms are so tightly packed that they have no more space to reduce, since they are still being forced into a smaller space the actual size of the atoms might have shrunk by reducing the distance between particles within the atoms. On top of this, protons and neutrons might also be able to shrink by reducing space between quarks and so on. Another thing to consider is that during the quantum scene, at the end we see a weird dimension which I think implies string theory, and since string theory is the idea of everything being made of 1d strings, meaning there is no depth or height, the value for depth and height would be negligible. This means that you could, theoretically, compress these strings almost infinitely

I don't know why no one spotted it.

Where did thanos get the pym particles (or equivalent) to get his entire army to earth at the end of endgame?
When Captain America goes back to return the stones and doesn't come back, what happens to the frozen Captain America? And doesnt having old man Cap show up in their timeline mean that he's been there the whole time? If so he shouldve been able to tell them what they needed to know to stop Thanos without the blip. Also it means Carter kept her husband secret from everyone

8:24, it was probably misdirection, so enemies will see that gauntlet in Asgard and waste their time, resources, and energy getting the fake one. Why? They think its the real one. It also has all the "stones" there, and is in the treasure room. This shows its convincing as it must be real to be in the treasure room and taking that will save time for the enemies. Very smart Odin

#5: Considering that Cap IS a super-soldier, and that the Raft has the likes of Thunderbolt Ross, its hardly a surprise. Ross is utterly incompetent- and he's supposed to be SecState in the MCU?!? He and Flash Thompson both should've remained dusted.
Dr. Yin Sen only used the car battery after his surgery to save his life- as soon as the arc reactor was up and running and powering Tony's damaged heart, so there was no sense for him to continue relying on the car battery.
