Ian Dury is legendary. I loved Madness as a kid and saw them in concert. However, as I’ve got older, I’m still listening to Ian dury and the blockheads. Hahaha.
I grew up in Camden. My older sister was obsessed with The Blockheads and latterly Madness. I saw both bands by the time I was 15/16. Madness would literally play somewhere local every week. Dublin Castle mostly. Hard to describe how much the area has changed in the last twenty years.
Being from the midlands, I hate having to drive to London but twice I’ve had to deliver to Camden Town. For some reason Camden is totally different. It’s the only place down there that I have enjoyed being in. It just seems so much different than anywhere else in London. It’s a bloody magical place. A bit better than Stoke I guess 😀👍.
awesome I love Ian Dury . The first English rapper .Almost spoken word with a ska / rock mongrel they were birthing there at the time . love love English music from that era
When my son was little he always had me take a photo of Suggs to the Barber because he wanted that awesome flat top haircut. LOL he looked like a Little Suggs. I listened to Madness The Kinks and Queen but he loved Suggs' haircut. Im still a big fan of those bands.
I'd love to see Ian Duty record an album about the current Immigration issues in England.... his skills and ability in songwriting are impeccable, his wizardry a lyrical license is a national treasure....
If he were still alive I am sure he wouldn't mince words on this debacle of interlopers prone to throwing acid in faces, grooming gangs and the whole ugly bit!
@@maudemathildeh335 Considering he was neither a racist or a fascist, he would probably be denouncing you lot!!! Don't try to co-opt the dead to justify your ideology of hatred and exclusion!
Well done fitting tribute , sweet . I get Ian Durry and rest auld east end . Didn't see much in 90s when I was there was all the pet shop boys ruff . But it lives on 🙄👋👋🤣👍
Oranges and Lemons video was shot in Inverness Street, Camden Town. I know, beacuse I watched them film it (my comic shop is just opposite where they filmed that)

his name was Drury...not Duty...Maybe Celine Dion could write a tune about those issues...if she ever visits Britain again
