304 people died in Sewol Ferry Boat Tragedy, 325 passengers were High school students and most of them passed away. The government really handled the situation terribly. Snowpiercer is a Great film. It’s directed by Bong Joon-ho who is Korean. You should definitely see it. It reflects dystopian society which is kind of a foreshadowing of the path the world currently might be on. BTS has never outwardly said this song was related to tragedy, but it was taboo at the time to speak out against the government about the injustice. So I think public opinion had to be subliminal. BigHit and BTS secretly donated money to the victims’ families at the time, and it was only discovered much later that they did.
Yeah it is also suga comment in their recent interview, am forget to recall the interview that suga and also bts surely are fans of mr. Bong JonHoo as mr Bong mention that he like so much with bts.
The MV had to be subtle and metaphorical. BTS could have been blacklisted by the government. The president at the time of the Sewol Ferry incident had a 60 page list of blacklisted artists/singers/performers who were not allowed to be on radio and TV. She was later impeached and (I think) imprisoned for her crimes. Get ready... most of BTS' songs have a deeper meaning behind them.
@@chaizan9733 oh not chris evans, but there was also a korean main(ish) character (song kangho, the one at shown in this vid at 13:17 - who also acted as the poor family dad in parasite), thats who they're talking about
There’s a reason the “Spring Day” video remains in the Korean music charts to this day. It is an affirmation of a country’s resolve to not ever forget this devastating tragedy. It is impressive how BTS, very subtly and very beautifully honored the victims and survivors and criticized how the government handled the Sewol Ferry tragedy (the Korean public was discouraged from discussing the event and more importantly criticize the government’s response). BTS is unlike many boy bands in that the group actually addresses social issues in their music, particularly those affecting young people. While the Spring Day mv was subtle, the video for “N.O.” is more hard-hitting. After knowing the meaning behind the former, I think you will not find it difficult to understand what BTS is saying in the latter.
Thank you guys as a korean for noticing the tragedy. Though the government didn't handle the tragedy when it happened in 2014, everyone remember 4/16 every year with yellow ribbon, which is a symbol for remembrance of Sewol tragedy. it is almost the biggest tragedy in korea recently
If you liked this, then you HAVE TO watch the short films from Wings because YOU'LL BE BLOWN AWAY. BTS isn't here to play. It's just that the media wants to push the "BTS are popular because they have 7 cute/handsome guys that sing and dance and this is why 12 year old teenagers love them" narrative. They have one of the most diverse (if not the most) fandoms out there, fans from all over the world, all ages and backrounds. BTS write their own music. Their albums are ALL connected and if you listen to their whole discography in order, you'll realise that they're telling a story in order. This is why they have series in their albums. EXAMPLES OF SOME OF THEIR ALBUMS: *Hwayang-yeonhwa series* "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life" part 1 and 2 ; *LOVE YOURSELF SERIES* Love Yourself 起 Wonder Love Yourself 承 'Her Love Yourself 轉 'Tear Love Yourself 結 'Answer *Map of the Soul series* MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 (with 3 parts: persona, shadow and ego) THEY DESERVE SO MUCH BETTER AND I WILL NEVER FORGIVE THE WESTERN MEDIA (and corrupt music industry) FOR THIS Also, BTS is NOT kpop I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS, KEEP GOING!
If u go down that rabbit hole then u have to read the story books and webtoon too for it to make sense even more😅🙈 all published from BIG HIT officially. The BU is so complex it's crazy and thats since years throughout all MV's . The story books in diary form line up with the MV's from" i need u " era up to now (but they gave us hints since no more dream for the storyline) bit by bit more revealing with side references now in the previous era's of damian, omelas and Jung's map of the seoul. The webtoon explains also a lot of what is going on specifically with jin and his "abilities " the Webtoon is called "save me" (refrence to the song and u can see also in fake love save me written in taehyungs scene and some other scenes in different mv's...and...that will be all to long to explain more haha like i said it's damn complex) literally a rabbit whole where is up to now no end in sight 😆
@@virgorules5210 I don't like kpop, but I agree with you on the fact that Western media uses kpop as an excuse to their xenophobia...and that's messed up.
This is another example on why some ppl say bts isn’t Kpop..Bts always goes a step further then others and they are just so inspiring and incredible..Every Kpop group/singer is great and talented but the achievements Bts have done and the deeper meanings to there lyrics is just on another level. I’ve never seen an artist put so much thought in music videos and lyrics and actually care a lot for fans and I’m not just saying Kpop groups, I’m personally saying in general I just personally haven’t seen an artist do so much and I respect them for that. They are very humble ppl and they were from a small company and became the biggest boy band in the world.Im proud💜💜
Michelle Varas I love what u said, cause it's all true but why do people keep assuming kpop is a genre though. I mean there is R&B in kpop there is hip hop in kpop. I feel like people should stop thinking it's a genre (pop music ) cause it's really not. I mean in my opinion
안재와 no i mean they get put in that category tho. Like some kpop groups make a song that is very R&B and some kpop groups make songs that have a very hip hop style to it but people still call it kpop. Which is why I'm trying to say that I feel like people should stop thinking that kpop is a genre, well at least that it means just pop music from korea. It's much more than that. it's just what people usually just call most music that koreans groups make. They just group it as kpop.
Koreans Love this song. Spring Day is the Longest Charting Song in MelOn History (korea's Biggest Streaming site) SD is Still Charting for 3 Years. RM and Suga make this Song. Thanks for understanding what bts actually try to say
Bts did not really have a platform when they started out. But now that they are currently the biggest band, they are using their platform and influence to do good by speaking about important issues and bringing light to injustice being done. And that's why they're my role models.
Just so you know, as the clothes represent the souls of the victim's, at 08:50 the washing machine with the 'dont forget' sticker represents the viewpoint from outside of the ferry looking into the window of the ferry, while the clothes(victims) are still in there. And at 08:53 Jin looking sad toward the machine glass window represents the viewpoint from the victims inside the ferry, looking outside the window while they are drowning with no way out. Finally, in the scene of the washing machine at 08:46 , the clock points to 9:35am, which was when the ferry started sinking in the actual tragedy.
and he scored in the *top 1%* on the "sat equivalent" korean standardized test in the entire *NATION of south korea,* so he really is *big-brain* LMAOO 😳💢💀💀💥❤
True. And both Yoongi and Namjoon wrote this beautiful song, it always makes me cry. I can never not watch Spring Day and cry by the end. They are truly amazing artists.
BTS is the complete package of a truly artist that I ever know...i feel like I'm getting smarter since I'm become an Army.... Their lyrics, talent, passion, MV, choreography , company and all the production are very2 supporting each other and created the truly art which cannot reached by the other artists
Thanks for watching this. And this is why this song is still up and kept in the top charts in Korea after years since it first came out. And the director of snowpiercer is the director of parasite, which won best picture as well as best director and few more this year at the oscars. First foreign film to do so. And if u like deeper meaning songs you should watch baepsae, spinebreaker, ddaeng and their new rap line song ugh! and than watch DKDKTVs explained by a korean video. It’s more lyrically explained but they all have social and political hidden meanings that are not as direct or would need to be explained by a korean. It makes the songs 10x better. 💜
The story behind the mv is just sad it hurts...when I watched I cried which was yesterday and it hits and I feel sorry for the students, im pretty sure they also has dreams that they want to complete but them leaving the world without completing it just kills my mind...also people losing family and friends are just difficult, I moved to an other island and feel pain whenever I think about it so I can't imagine losing a love one like this and thank you bts I have to admit this is just a great idea to remember about them ❤️❤️and thanks Sam reacting to it ❤️❤️❤️❤️and I hope their family is doing okay and may they be blessed in life❤️❤️❤️
Korean army here- i'll give yall a short summary of the sewol ferry tragedy. In one high school in korea, the students in the grade who were preparing for graduations were going on a graduation field trip (ib korea, the last year students always go somewhere for thier graduation field trip) They were all happy and excited. Then the ferry started to sink becauss the ferry couldn't hold the weight of the luggage and the number of people it was holding. The captain told them to stay seated and be calm. But the ferry started to sink faster. there were only a few lifeboats in the ferry. obe of the girl survivers said: " we were very scared. They(crew) told us to wear our life jackets but there weren't enough.. then some boys came and told us to have thiers... we asked them why and they said they would be okay since they all knew how to swim" The help didn't come fast enough. soon the ferry was all in the water and many of the students went underwater with it and didn't come back again. Thier families were waiting for them at the day that they were supposed to come. But only a few(less than 100) came to them crying for thier friend's loss. soon all of thier families knew what happend and the tears didn't stop for days... We now use a yellow ribbon🎗to give our respect to those who were lost This is very sad tragedy and all the people who is korean will never forget about it
The same questions that I asked myself since I stan them at the beginning of 2015. Why their existence is matter to me? Where all of this greatness coming from? why most people can't see that back then?. But then, I realized it takes time to deliver the purpose of your existence. One step at the time, the boys gradually open up the eyes of many people through their skills, talents and humanitarian actions. They keep bringing issues that we experience in real-life situations. something that people can always relate to. Sincerity, hard works, persistence, and consistency are just some parts of what makes them big now. Thank you for your efforts to wanted to know more about them by watching and try to understand the meaning behind their work of art. I hope your journey thru the Rabbit hole is as fun and thrilling as Alice do.
The washing machine door also similar to the windows in the ferry, and since the clothes represent people who died, I think that the clothes spinning in the water in the machine represent people drowning 😰. The stair case scene is also similar since people are climbing up to get out of the ferry while some are stuck at the bottom.
im a huge twenty one pilots fan too and when i first got into bts and realized something deeper was going on, it reminded me what i love about twenty one pilots too
thank you so much for getting out of your way and learning of topics that you might not come across every day. BTS's purpose is to get these meaningful messages and I'm happy you were able to connect with them and the story itself.
Queen Spring Day makes me emotional every time. I think this video is their absolute masterpiece in terms of themes and references and tying it all together for its emotional message. BTS tell stories through their music and that's why I love them. Also the BigHit team that worked on the production of this MV are outstanding.
Saturated Thank you for mentioning the BigHit team and of course there’s the MV production company. Do you know if it was Lumpens or was it before their time?
First time I cried my eyes out to a BTS song is to Spring Day, the Queen. It hit me so hard. Realizing that RM sat down on a park bench and wrote this all down it that time of tragedy made me realize I have chosen the right group to follow, who do the right things.
the fact that the leader RM came up with the molody and lyrics of this song...we are more than proud. that's we are loyal and devoted to bts, look at what they create! they deserve nothing but support
Asuna Linh , AGREE! Truth Untold is based on an old Italian folktale. Tragic and beautiful. You’ll want to watch the live performance -it has subtitles.
I like the fact that a song that is about never forgetting people always rises in the charts every time BTS has a comeback. Kinda like the hope that the video talks about.
This is why spring day is our queen, and probably why it stays on the charts. All those people affected by the tragedy probably play the song too yearly. Death isn't something that goes away, it's like a haunting. Anyways people who've lost people, or miss people, even just from distance can relate to this song. It's really beautiful
that’s why this video, like many others, is so important to Army. It has been years since this tragedy and I still cry thinking about it. Especially when I think about the videos the kids took on their cellphones crying and saying that they didn’t want to die and who will take care of their siblings and mothers. They’re gone but not forgotten. 🎗
I’m a person who loves details and deeper meanings, and that is one of the main reasons I love bts. They’re songs have this warm vibe I can’t explain. ARMY is a fandom full of mostly intellectuals because of this exact reason
There is a story line running throughout all BTS MVs but it can be very confusing to someone whos new to BTS but once you have watch their MVs id suggest checking it out it will blow your mind
Listen to dope, fire and save me Edit: also the cypher series. It's just the rappers and they respond to their haters. There are 4 of then and they are awesome
BTS is not just a phase. It’s life. This song has settled in me ever since I came across it and even more when I came to know what it meant. Love you guys so much ♥️
to explain it shortly: Students were on a school trip to jeju island in south korea the sewol ferry was the ferry that was supposed to bring them there and back home. the ship was sinking but the captain the teachers and staff of the ship kept telling the students to stay in their cabins. if everyone would have just evecuated all would have survived but because they were told to stay in their cabins they ended up being trapped once they realised they should get out there. the captain was the first person who escaped the ship where all students where still strapped in. The whole time nothing was done to safe the students they all just reported evrything that was happening to the government instead of evacuating everyone. even after that the families never really new what actually happened because government just kept the truth hidden. civilian divers volunteered to dive and at least get the bodies out of there so the families could give them a proper funeral and to show them respect. Government then forbid them to keep doing that and only 3 years later the ship was salvaged. and the families finally got at least some kind of closure. i hope you understand what i´m saying and i apologize for all the mistakes it´s late,i´m tired and i´m not a native speaker xD
BTS is super deep, every song they released has layers of meanings even their most poppy, catchy ones. Their art is truly amazing and their songs have inspired fans to read books, to think for themselves and to live more meaningful lives. Their company, BigHit is also on another level of creativity and innovation.
This is just one example of how deep BTS songs are! Every mv has it’s deeper meaning like fire, idol and all of the other mv. Please check out other videos explanation
BTS is not just another Kpop or boy band. They are totally on a different level. They are a class of their own that they couldn't be compared to Western boy bands. For me they are truly an artists.
Even before RM became a trainee, he's always been known underground for his protests using metaphors and wordplays. Even on their earlier music was voicing out what young people can't.
OMG WHEN YOU SAID "HASHTAG YOU NEVER WALK ALONE" AT 11:19, that's the name of the album's song! THAT'S THE NAME OF THE ALBUM'S SONG! They even did a song named You Never Walk Alone, watch it pls (there's no MV) 🙏🏻
There is actually even more behind every MV, including Spring Day, because every MV is related from the first one to the last one to date ; On and Black Swan. With parallel universes and time traveling and stuff, so you have a lot more to see... ;D
Also the time mentioned in the clock of laundry room is one of the time recorded of ship sinking, as explained by a korean student in other reaction mvs
Now you can understand why Spring Day is Queen and holds such a special place in so many people's hearts. I get emotional every single time I listen to this song. After the first time I heard it, I researched and watched the videos on youTube that were recovered from a few of the students who didn't survive. They are chilling and in them you can hear the students being told over the loud speaker to stay in their cabins.
If you enjoyed this and theories in general, then I would really recommend you to watch "BTS STORYLINE SUMMARY + EXPLANATION" by xCeleste. Most BTS music videos have an ongoing storyline running through it. Every BTS member plays a character (with the same names) who goes through all sorts of stuff. Most of the characters die and get into trouble in many ways, Jin can travel back in time and is trying to save them. It's a beautiful storyline that discusses many important topics such as suicide, abuse, (mental) health, the importance of friendship, etc. It's a 30-minute video that will blow your mind! After watching it you will be able to look at the music videos in a different light. Truly beautiful! Btw great to see another theory army that appreciates the meaning and imagery in the videos as much as I do! I had already subscribed, but I would do it again if I could, hahaha.
I feel like that video might be too much for him as a newcomer😂 I could barely keep up and I’ve been a fan since their debut yet that video still overwhelmed me!
While watching the explanation and your reaction all at the same time, while trying to comprehend myself, I genuinely could not breathe from how much I was crying. WOW I've never felt so much love towards any artists in my life like this. I will keep this song in my heart, as well as BTS, so immensely grateful for them, seriously.
That's why Spring Day had always reigned in charts. It is not just because of the MV but the meaning itself and the beautiful message it shares with the world. This is the reason why I'm a fan of BTS because this isn't just music but passion and love.
this song holds an incredible amount of meaning and hidden messages to the people of Korea, which is why it has never left the charts. many people lost loved ones at such a young age and due to such a tragedy and is something Korea will never forget.
fyi, if you look for "what is the meaning of hanging shoes over the tree" you'll get this as the answer "In some neighborhoods, shoes tied together and hanging from power lines or tree branches signify that someone has died. The shoes belong to the dead person. The reason they are hanging, legend has it, is that when the dead person's spirit returns, it will walk that high above the ground, that much closer to heaven." LIKE DUDEEE, it gives me a goosebumps
They blow your mind don’t they. This is why this song has remained in the charts since it’s release. The ferry tragedy was horrific - over 300 school children drowned when their ferry sank. The government tried to cover it up. I was in Korea at a time when protests were being held regularly asking for the government to explain themselves. It was heartbreaking seeing all this grief stricken parents marching the streets holding pictures of their deceased children. I actually cried for them. This song always makes me cry for that reason. Great reaction as always
I saw the MV so many times (and I cried on it everytime) but I didn't know that it has a deep meaning like this. While I watched your video I can't stop crying. This is just so touching and deep.
This is why this song never left the charts in Korea... it's so meaningful and represents so much of the families and students that went through so much...
I had no idea how deep and important the meaning behind "Spring Day" was. I almost burst into tears watching this. BTS is amazing, and I love what they do.
BTS videos that you should definitely react to: - Dope - Agust D(by suga) - chicken noodle soup(by Jhope) - serendipity(by jimin) - Save me - lights - Silver Spoon(dance practice) - euphoria -Airplane Pt. 2 - Make it Right ft. LAUV - BTS introduction to the members
We told you before isn't it get through your heart.. Every time I watch this I will definitely cry all the time no matter how much I watch this.. And thank you so much for this reaction..
this is just showing a glimpse of how deep bts' music is. not just music but the mv's as well. you really need to go through their whole discography to understand the deep topics they're talking about through their music. its one of the reasons why so many people like them, because of their songs.
I actually watched this for the first time yesterday because I knew you were going to react to it, and you pretty much reacted the same way I did. As a Korean American who remembers the tragedy vividly, this video left me an emotional wreck. Thanks so much for reacting!
Also notice how the windows of the washing machine looks like windows of the ferry .. the clothes inside represents the victim who are drowning and cant get out ..
and take note namjoon wrote this song while in the park just seeing leaves falling..he really is brainy mon..and he is my hard harder hardest bias wrecker..😉
I used to price myself about not getting emotional about media when I was younger, but if you don't tear up watching a video like this, you dont got a damn soul in your body
When I found out about the tragedy and decided to look into it deeper and found a bunch of videos about it, I swear I cried for 2 days straight thinking about it. Spring day has always been my favourite song to play on the piano and it's become one of the only songs i'm able to put so much emotion into and feel so much emotion when I play it.
BTS cannot be withheld within the boundaries that the word “kpop” creates. This has always been my fav song because you don’t need it to be a love song to have a beautiful meaning or lyrics. I tell people, “I like it because it’s a happy- sad song, not a sad- happy song.” Now I completely understand why it makes me feel this way. The choreography, the lyrics, the production- I just can’t. I hate the boy band stereotype & thus hated western boy bands. But when I discovered these 7 very special men... I was speechless. They go beyond what most artists do, and know what’s most important in life. Their egos and fame have not stunted their growth, which is baffling. Every year I just see them appreciate their beautiful Army (아미) and experiences more and more. They began with a single dream and just enough hope to get back up after each fall but it was so worth it. I love this fan base, the sort of people they attract with their music and the new people who discover their beauty everyday. I will forever Stan with my heart & tears 🤍💜 These men are legends.
Omg yes! Its awesome how you appreciate all the symbolism and the tiny details. The thing with BTS is that every little thing has a meaning. Its fun picking out the literary, film, and art references. Also, Snowpiercer is a great movie, I highly recommend it! Thanks for checking this out, you nice keep going!
The rusty merry go round that says “you never walk alone” is very touching and in their new album MAP OF THE SEOUL :7 in the song “ we are bulletproof: the eternal “ the lyrics goes “ tell me your every story, tell me why don’t stop this , tell me why you’re still walking, walking with us”
Jin was also a student of the film, an actor. His scene has two meanings.. First the video said they all represent the survivors : If you are carrying a heavy burden like that is can feel than other of your peers are going on their life unburdenes and happily skipping ahead, as you are stuck in a bottoms of a well - stairwell here. And you can just see it from the pictures how life seems to be going on around you and maybe also to you even if you don't feel it.. When I experienced my first big loss in life at 13-14, I don't have memories of about a half a year after that, because of the shock I was living in. I was surprised later that I got my best grades in school, but personally I only see that time from the pictures and grade cards and things like that. I don't have any real memory of it. Second now think then the scene from the point of view the video suddenly jumped. That Jin would be a victim who passed away. And now see all of their scenes now see all of their scenes in these two points of views.. ;D Also you might not had seen the text in the merry go around.. You Never Walk Alone.. You have seen it before.. ;D You now know the power of neil signs in BTS music videos.. And now you know RM has tested to had IQ of 148.. And then you have his scene in Boy With Love.. "they are using real art now" You might need to see the explanation videos of Fake Love and Blood Sweat and Tears - last started from the _museum_ - all of those pieces were real _meaningful_ art..
Its been 3 years since I listened to this song and now I only knew about this. EVERY BTS SONG HAS TO BE RESERCHED ON BECAUSE IT HAS SO MUCH MEANING BEHIND.
This is why this song often appears in the chart all of sudden even when it's released long time ago especially when bts is having a comeback. I think people somehow listen to this song to remember the tragedy again. "Don't forget". And we really don't. So as we celebrate bts comeback, we also won't ever forget to the tragedy, for the victims.
Thanks for watching guys!

If you liked this, then you HAVE TO watch the short films from Wings because YOU'LL BE BLOWN AWAY. BTS isn't here to play.
Serendipity. The western media doesn’t deserve BTS or k-pop!
@@oyinolubayo7079 hiphop and r&b doesn't count as kpop, it's just korean r&b/korean hiphop
@@oyinolubayo7079 yeah true tbh, I agree with you on that
they are magicial.musicians
Koreans Love this song. Spring Day is the Longest Charting Song in MelOn History (korea's Biggest Streaming site) SD is Still Charting for 3 Years. RM and Suga make this Song. Thanks for understanding what bts actually try to say
Bts did not really have a platform when they started out. But now that they are currently the biggest band, they are using their platform and influence to do good by speaking about important issues and bringing light to injustice being done. And that's why they're my role models.
And they spoke out about issues from day one.
Damn
u said it is some 200 IQ stuff
Fun Fact: RM's IQ is 148, he ain't our president for no reason
Exactly what I thought of🤣💜💜
and he scored in the *top 1%* on the "sat equivalent" korean standardized test in the entire *NATION of south korea,* so he really is *big-brain* LMAOO 😳💢💀💀💥❤
True. And both Yoongi and Namjoon wrote this beautiful song, it always makes me cry. I can never not watch Spring Day and cry by the end. They are truly amazing artists.
His IQ was 148 in high school and as you grow up your IQ also goes up so that means RM has an IQ over 148
BTS is the complete package of a truly artist that I ever know...i feel like I'm getting smarter since I'm become an Army....
The story behind the mv is just sad it hurts...when I watched I cried which was yesterday and it hits and I feel sorry for the students, im pretty sure they also has dreams that they want to complete but them leaving the world without completing it just kills my mind...also people losing family and friends are just difficult, I moved to an other island and feel pain whenever I think about it so I can't imagine losing a love one like this and thank you bts I have to admit this is just a great idea to remember about them ❤️❤️and thanks Sam reacting to it ❤️❤️❤️❤️and I hope their family is doing okay and may they be blessed in life❤️❤️❤️
jilee limelight_camfam_ me too it’s so heartbreaking. I cried a lot

They(crew) told us to wear our life jackets but there weren't enough.. then some boys came and told us to have thiers... we asked them why and they said they would be okay since they all knew how to swim"
The help didn't come fast enough. soon the ferry was all in the water and many of the students went underwater with it and didn't come back again.
That's why I cry every single time I listen to spring day literally
You're in my top list of my favorite reactors so far! Loves your reactions always, keep it up man!
From Philippines here
Same here. 🇵🇭 He pays attention in every small details. Thumbs up to this man.
Same here.
*Please react to *The truth untold", it's so beautiful.*
Asuna Linh , AGREE! Truth Untold is based on an old Italian folktale. Tragic and beautiful. You’ll want to watch the live performance -it has subtitles.
ohh yeah i almost forgot about it
I like the fact that a song that is about never forgetting people always rises in the charts every time BTS has a comeback. Kinda like the hope that the video talks about.
I still feel very emotional as well watching this explanation video about Spring Day, no matter how many times I’ve watched it.
I'm so glad u got so interested in our boys... Welcome to the Purple family!!💜

This is why BTS Army keeps Spring Day on the charts no matter how long... so that we never forget.
Because you like great MVs, check out "Heartbeat" on the BTS World channel. The song and the video are absolutely beautiful.
"This is like 100 IQ stuff"
Well, Namjoon (RM) has an IQ of 148, just saying
I believe he said 200 IQ, but it doesn't matter 😆

BTS is not just a phase. It’s life. This song has settled in me ever since I came across it and even more when I came to know what it meant. Love you guys so much ♥️
'I feel emotional' meanwhile i was sobbing the entire video.
to explain it shortly: Students were on a school trip to jeju island in south korea the sewol ferry was the ferry that was supposed to bring them there and back home. the ship was sinking but the captain the teachers and staff of the ship kept telling the students to stay in their cabins. if everyone would have just evecuated all would have survived but because they were told to stay in their cabins they ended up being trapped once they realised they should get out there. the captain was the first person who escaped the ship where all students where still strapped in.
I cry every time I watch the mv and sees the analysis
OMG I was waiting for this all day thank you so much💜💜
me too.. i was checking his channel several times today... I'm excited...

13:43 RM actually has a really high IQ! He and yoongi (suga) we’re part of the many who composed the song!
Dont forget about our sunshine J-HOPE. He has the most contribute too 😊
There is actually even more behind every MV, including Spring Day, because every MV is related from the first one to the last one to date ; On and Black Swan. With parallel universes and time traveling and stuff, so you have a lot more to see... ;D
Also the time mentioned in the clock of laundry room is one of the time recorded of ship sinking, as explained by a korean student in other reaction mvs
I still cry every single time i watch this
Now you can understand why Spring Day is Queen and holds such a special place in so many people's hearts. I get emotional every single time I listen to this song. After the first time I heard it, I researched and watched the videos on youTube that were recovered from a few of the students who didn't survive. They are chilling and in them you can hear the students being told over the loud speaker to stay in their cabins.
Yep. this is our Queen. "Spring Day". 3 years and still have never left the chart.
No matter how many times I watch this, I always get chills and cry. This is what great artists do💜 thank you for reacting!
Everytime I watch this video I cry, the deep meaning doesn't stop to amaze me
Sewol Ferry Boat Tragedy is called "Korea's Titanic"
I really love on how you reacted in every music video of BTS.
Spring Day...
BTS Queen Song...
Important messages,
Beautiful, emotional lyrics, music, scenery...
Sewol ferry...We remember...
Spring Day deserves to be viewed by everyone in the world. It deserves the love of the whole universe. We'll stream this song up in to the charts.
BTS and BIG HIT are on a different level. GENIUS. loved your reaction, I can see you genuinely liking our boys. :)
Every time I see the members unite to seek justice always makes me cry because it's like ARMY and BTS together forever #YouNeverWalkAlone
This song really just hits !!!
fyi, if you look for "what is the meaning of hanging shoes over the tree" you'll get this as the answer "In some neighborhoods, shoes tied together and hanging from power lines or tree branches signify that someone has died.
I’m part of the ARMY for years, but everytime I remember about it, I get chills and start to cry :(
I had no idea how deep and important the meaning behind "Spring Day" was. I almost burst into tears watching this. BTS is amazing, and I love what they do.

this is just showing a glimpse of how deep bts' music is. not just music but the mv's as well. you really need to go through their whole discography to understand the deep topics they're talking about through their music. its one of the reasons why so many people like them, because of their songs.
This song is still on the Korean Charts since the release. That is how powerful of a message it holds.
FINALLY! you'll react to Who is BTS? tomorrow, i'm so excited
I still remember first time I learned about bts mv and its meanings... and this one.. gives me goosebumps. Even now.. it still amaze me.
I actually watched this for the first time yesterday because I knew you were going to react to it, and you pretty much reacted the same way I did. As a Korean American who remembers the tragedy vividly, this video left me an emotional wreck.
Thanks so much for reacting!
Also notice how the windows of the washing machine looks like windows of the ferry .. the clothes inside represents the victim who are drowning and cant get out ..
and take note namjoon wrote this song while in the park just seeing leaves falling..he really is brainy mon..and he is my hard harder hardest bias wrecker..😉
never saw the explanation for this video, i almost cried watching this T_T. thanks for reacting!
I've watched that video so many times and I still get emotional and it made me love and respect BTS even more. 💜
The rusty merry go round that says “you never walk alone” is very touching and in their new album MAP OF THE SEOUL :7 in the song “ we are bulletproof: the eternal “ the lyrics goes “ tell me your every story, tell me why don’t stop this , tell me why you’re still walking, walking with us”
I’ve watched this video so many times, yet I still get the chills
Yes🔥
I love your reactions💜💜
bts is always using art, philosophy, history, boks and real life events in their mv's. stanning them is like going to a fun uni
And now see all of their scenes now see all of their scenes in these two points of views.. ;D
Also you might not had seen the text in the merry go around..
You Never Walk Alone.. You have seen it before.. ;D
You now know the power of neil signs in BTS music videos..
And now you know RM has tested to had IQ of 148..
And then you have his scene in Boy With Love..
"they are using real art now"
You might need to see the explanation videos of Fake Love and Blood Sweat and Tears - last started from the _museum_ - all of those pieces were real _meaningful_ art..
Even the MV "idol" has explanation behind it....you should check it out .....
OMG YOU ACTUALLY REACTED TO THIS VIDEO YAY!!!!😍
i cry everytime i watch this explanation with the reactor :(
