Well, now you've met the Queen, the legend Spring Day. She's a timeless jewel, the charts show that, and both the song itself and the MV are absolutely genius. She doesn't play in the same league as any other track BTS has ever released
It was tragedy in korea: lots of students died on ferry school trip. (As i know) so this video and song about that: pile of wet clothes, Jimin picks up shoes from ocean....
RM has never mentioned anything about the ferry before. The sewol connection would be at most Bang Shi Yeok's or the video director's idea. From RM's Vlives and song-of-the-year award speech he has only ever said that this song was inspired by messages he got from his friends showing concern and worry for him when they were going through a tumultuous time. He also mentioned that he was inspired while looking at trees and walking in a park.
Diana W i have also heard that the reason why RM or any other members or even bighit never came upfront and said it was because of the ferry’s incident is because the Korean government has actually black listed other artist who tried to talk about it. So as to not have the company, themselves or the song black listed they had to say the song is because of : x,y,z... I am not a Korean so once I heard about this theory I looked further into what happened and I believe that there is a great possibility that BTS created this song and video with the incident in mind and also to support or rather uplift those who had other kinds of problems. Again this is what I heard and believe. Could be totally wrong tho..
The mv location: - Iryeong Station in Gyeonggi-do(closed train station) - Jumunjin Beach in Gangwon-do - Sihwaho Lake in Gangwon-do (the one with the tree) If you go to South Korea, there's actually a BTS MV trip. The train station now is fully closed by the local government since it's probably a bit dangerous.
And bighit still willing to invest alot for BTS promo despite they actually dont really need it as they already have huge and stable fanbase. Props to bighit to never stop supporting BTS. I love so much this time they released alot of music videos for the album.

HI! I know most people freak out when Tae puts his hands and head to the train track and think oh no he's gonna get hit, but I've lived almost my whole life around train tracks my lil spot in my city is called "The Iron Island" because we are surrounded by tracks. What he did is what we would do in order to hear/ feel if a train was coming, so we could cross a bridge that only was for trains (we shouldn't have been doing that but meh kids lol).

I’ve been watching all of your BTS videos! I also recommend the song Baepsae and another video called “Baepsae explained by a Korean”. Actually, DKDKTV have lots of BTS explained by a Korean videos, i really recommend all of them cause their lyrics and MVs have so much meaning!!! It’s insane! Some of their older songs are very hip hop based too! No More Dream, Danger, We Are Bulletproof pt 2 etc! I Need U is one of my personal faves
11:46 the high pitched voice you mentioned in the background is Taehyung. He actually has the deepest voice of the soloists but is able to hit really high notes as well. He showcases his fantastic vocal range extremely well in his solo song ”Stigma” from the Wings album.

Spring Day! It's the most emotional BTS song I've heard in my entire ARMY life. I cried reading the lyrics of it because for me I lost a loved one and reading the lyrics made an impact in my heart. When I found out what it truly meant I can't help but feel more emotional. Spring Day is ARMYs queen because she had reigned the charts for so long! And she truly deserve the spot! Thanks Sammy!

I haven't been able to stop watching your BTS reactions for the past hour and half and they brought smile to my lips so many times. It's so refreshing to see an honest reaction and genuine bewilderment and respect for their work. I also loving the fact that you are studying film production and therefore can have a different level of understanding and respect for their amazing music videos. This album 'You Never walk Alone' was dropped in the middle of the president Park's impeachment process. 'Spring Day', 'Not today' and 'A Supplementary Story: You Never Walk Alone' are the BTS' message to the public. This clearly shows how much of a socially and politically conscious group BTS is. President Park represents conservative power and money. Her office oppressed anyone spoke against their power by putting them on the black lists which meant any media companies help their exposure will be cut off from government grants and funding. That's why BTS was cut off from the media exposures from the very beginning. BTS songs were so bold and expressive against Haves. Park's regime was often reffed as the darkness and coldest winter of Korean art culture. The ferry tragedy was the spark of people's anger toward the president. And a lot more corruption that led to the impeachment. People got out on the street demanding for the impeachment and did peace rallies every weekend through out the record breaking brutally cold winter. You must see the pictures to even fathom how many people were part of this. Pretty much all Korean population. She became the very first president who was ever impeached and removed from her seat in the 5 thousand years of Korean history. There were 3 new songs added to this album. The first song is 'Spring Day' which is longing for the winter to pass. The second is 'Not Today' which talks about we will go down someday fighting against the indestructible old power but today we fight. The third song is 'A Supplementary Story: You Never Walk Alone' one of the most beautiful lyrics of BTS songs. That they will be with us every step of the way. I think the message was for the victim's family as well as to the people on the street spending their entire winter on the street desperately waiting for the impeachment verdict. Spring Day that they were waiting for can mean so many different things but considering the album release date and order of new tracks make it very clear that it was BTS' two cents to throw in to participate in the most historical moment of Korea.

From what I've heard, when you hang a pair of a shoe in a tree, it means that someone/something died and you're long ing for that person. Perhaps maybe V (the person who was on the train tracks) idk.

Spring Day is able to give us all so many emotions. Not only is the MV a visual masterpiece with so much symbolism, but also the song itself is so sad, but so comforting. It makes you feel less alone.
First clip, V was on a railtrack. He was angry at himself that he survived rather than his friends dieing, he was trying to get himself killed. We see jungkook also appears to be remembering his friends. Jimin at the ocean to reminisce. RM appears to be inside the train, around him are the seat with dirty clothes and luggage which refer field trip of the dead childrens of the ferry accident. Now RM is confronting the upper ones, and Omelas thus no vacancy. Which refers to the captain of the ferry accident. And the first verse RM also mentioned Snowpierce which is a movie, 'you belong to the end, the higher ones belong to the last'. And when RM reaches the Middle one he was being stopped by people but at this MV it was all fun and playful (the slowmotion). Then next, Jin is looking at the 'survived' friends that seems to be moving on and improving and getting higher and higher while he is stole at the bottom, not improving after the incident. Then an jungkook's part, 'You never walk alone'. Then lets skip at the part where jimin's part. At 5:15 we see them hanging out playing and doing their daily lifes as a teenager or a student... But even if they try to forget them, they still dont and be as pale as they would. And next, jimin's at the ocean, picked what seems to be the remaining of someone's shoe that washed ashore. Then they are shown in the laundry, when Jin saw the sticjet at the washingmachine.. 'Dont Forget' with the clothes inside it, the people said that not to forget the people that you have met with your life, it is important. Then we see suga at the pile of clothings, which refers to an artist thaf piled clothes and those clothes referrs to the students who had died at the ferry incident. Then we see jhopes part that he looks cheerfuk uwu. Then we see jin's part that he finally realizes it and starts to improve. And when jungkook thought that he was alone (9:12) then the other members joined him 'You never walk alone'
Tae wasn't trying to kill himself, he was waiting for the train to come and for his friends to come back home. Because he was so impatient and the train wasn't coming he put his head to the rail track so he can hear the train before it appears. The train was not coming so he is trying to find it and follows the rail track.
BTS whenever they perform Spring day in awards and concert they always explain the song and the story behind it, they really put their emotions in Spring day, a friendly reminder that from the day Spring day dropped, it hasn't move from melon chart since then an eternal song.
Spring Day is a song that is held most dear to many of the koreans (you will understand why after you watch the explaination). It is the longest-charting song on Melon for over 3 years (Melon is the largest music site in South Korea) and has never left the chart till now. That shows how important and treasured Spring Day is. Edit: Found the Melon daily chart Feb 2, 2020 in twitter, and Spring Day is placed #23. And this song was released in Feb 2017 :)
I agree with you 100%. The effect music has on people is powerful and diverse. That is the purpose of art actually, and it is so cool to find a group that centers its commitment into expressing through art in such a strong way.

Bts helped me as well as many other people through the darkest time of my life. They produce A LOT of that stuff themselves and are very true and honest artists. I kind of want to sit you down and explain you all of the music videos, lyrics and stuff but I feel like you will get that from the other armys already. But yeah, they talk about many topics like self love, depression, not giving up, fighting for yourself and for what is right... I could go on and on honestly. So I'm happy to see that you go down the path to discover them and learn about all of that. I would recommend you "save me" and "I'm fine". The songs are connected but there is no music video for I'm gone, only for save me so you can watch one of the live videos
The one you said has a beautiful voice that came in after Rm's opening rap part is Jimin :) and a lot of things you see in their music videos are not CGI. Some might be but quite a bit of it isn't like the pile of clothes, the snickers in fake love as well as the water and fire in fake love, the fire in Mic drop.. etc. You should react to their song Fire now that I think about it :) you should also react to Save me, Run, and I Need you.. I can say multiple songs you should react to that I think you'll like :) and you said Euphoric.. there is a song by the Member Jungkook called 'Euphoria' thats good also
the boys do help write and produce basically every song that they have. if i remember correctly, I believe RM and Suga worked on this song. RM actually started writing this song because he saw a leaf falling from a tree while he was walking in a park.

This song has a lot of meaning into it. That's why until now it's still ranking up with the rest of the newer albums. Holds a lot of memories that bts had experienced just from the lyrics itself. Very sentimental song indeed.

We call Spring Day "THE QUEEN" because this song has never left the Korean charts since its release (2017) ...and it's always in the top 50. The Korean audience LOVES this song btw, I don't think people get annoyed when you ask if it's CGI. It's normal that you ask those questions, you haven't seen the behind the scenes videos yet, so you obviously don't know. I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS, KEEP GOING!!
You can watch the making of, they do not explain much about how the MV was made and is more members centered but you can see what is cgi or not and some interesting things, plus you can know the members better! I love how you notice so many things musically and about the image, it's nice that when you talk you pause and then you turn back a little bit to watch it again and make sure you are not missing anything. HI! I know most people freak out when Tae puts his hands and head to the train track and think oh no he's gonna get hit, but I've lived almost my whole life around train tracks my lil spot in my city is called "The Iron Island" because we are surrounded by tracks. What he did is what we would do in order to hear/ feel if a train was coming, so we could cross a bridge that only was for trains (we shouldn't have been doing that but meh kids lol).

Spring Day! It's the most emotional BTS song I've heard in my entire ARMY life. I cried reading the lyrics of it because for me I lost a loved one and reading the lyrics made an impact in my heart. When I found out what it truly meant I can't help but feel more emotional. Spring Day is ARMYs queen because she had reigned the charts for so long! And she truly deserve the spot! Thanks Sammy!

This album 'You Never walk Alone' was dropped in the middle of the president Park's impeachment process. 'Spring Day', 'Not today' and 'A Supplementary Story: You Never Walk Alone' are the BTS' message to the public. This clearly shows how much of a socially and politically conscious group BTS is.
President Park represents conservative power and money. Her office oppressed anyone spoke against their power by putting them on the black lists which meant any media companies help their exposure will be cut off from government grants and funding. That's why BTS was cut off from the media exposures from the very beginning. BTS songs were so bold and expressive against Haves. Park's regime was often reffed as the darkness and coldest winter of Korean art culture.
The ferry tragedy was the spark of people's anger toward the president. And a lot more corruption that led to the impeachment. People got out on the street demanding for the impeachment and did peace rallies every weekend through out the record breaking brutally cold winter. You must see the pictures to even fathom how many people were part of this. Pretty much all Korean population. She became the very first president who was ever impeached and removed from her seat in the 5 thousand years of Korean history.
There were 3 new songs added to this album. The first song is 'Spring Day' which is longing for the winter to pass. The second is 'Not Today' which talks about we will go down someday fighting against the indestructible old power but today we fight. The third song is 'A Supplementary Story: You Never Walk Alone' one of the most beautiful lyrics of BTS songs. That they will be with us every step of the way. I think the message was for the victim's family as well as to the people on the street spending their entire winter on the street desperately waiting for the impeachment verdict.
Spring Day that they were waiting for can mean so many different things but considering the album release date and order of new tracks make it very clear that it was BTS' two cents to throw in to participate in the most historical moment of Korea.

From what I've heard, when you hang a pair of a shoe in a tree, it means that someone/something died and you're long ing for that person. Perhaps maybe V (the person who was on the train tracks) idk.

Spring Day is able to give us all so many emotions. Not only is the MV a visual masterpiece with so much symbolism, but also the song itself is so sad, but so comforting. It makes you feel less alone.
First clip, V was on a railtrack. He was angry at himself that he survived rather than his friends dieing, he was trying to get himself killed. We see jungkook also appears to be remembering his friends. Jimin at the ocean to reminisce. RM appears to be inside the train, around him are the seat with dirty clothes and luggage which refer field trip of the dead childrens of the ferry accident. Now RM is confronting the upper ones, and Omelas thus no vacancy. Which refers to the captain of the ferry accident. And the first verse RM also mentioned Snowpierce which is a movie, 'you belong to the end, the higher ones belong to the last'. And when RM reaches the Middle one he was being stopped by people but at this MV it was all fun and playful (the slowmotion). Then next, Jin is looking at the 'survived' friends that seems to be moving on and improving and getting higher and higher while he is stole at the bottom, not improving after the incident. Then an jungkook's part, 'You never walk alone'. Then lets skip at the part where jimin's part. At 5:15 we see them hanging out playing and doing their daily lifes as a teenager or a student... But even if they try to forget them, they still dont and be as pale as they would. And next, jimin's at the ocean, picked what seems to be the remaining of someone's shoe that washed ashore. Then they are shown in the laundry, when Jin saw the sticjet at the washingmachine.. 'Dont Forget' with the clothes inside it, the people said that not to forget the people that you have met with your life, it is important. Then we see suga at the pile of clothings, which refers to an artist thaf piled clothes and those clothes referrs to the students who had died at the ferry incident. Then we see jhopes part that he looks cheerfuk uwu. Then we see jin's part that he finally realizes it and starts to improve. And when jungkook thought that he was alone (9:12) then the other members joined him 'You never walk alone'
Tae wasn't trying to kill himself, he was waiting for the train to come and for his friends to come back home. Because he was so impatient and the train wasn't coming he put his head to the rail track so he can hear the train before it appears. The train was not coming so he is trying to find it and follows the rail track.
BTS whenever they perform Spring day in awards and concert they always explain the song and the story behind it, they really put their emotions in Spring day, a friendly reminder that from the day Spring day dropped, it hasn't move from melon chart since then an eternal song.

Spring Day is a song that is held most dear to many of the koreans (you will understand why after you watch the explaination). It is the longest-charting song on Melon for over 3 years (Melon is the largest music site in South Korea) and has never left the chart till now. That shows how important and treasured Spring Day is.
Edit: Found the Melon daily chart Feb 2, 2020 in twitter, and Spring Day is placed #23. And this song was released in Feb 2017 :)

Bts helped me as well as many other people through the darkest time of my life. They produce A LOT of that stuff themselves and are very true and honest artists. I kind of want to sit you down and explain you all of the music videos, lyrics and stuff but I feel like you will get that from the other armys already.
But yeah, they talk about many topics like self love, depression, not giving up, fighting for yourself and for what is right... I could go on and on honestly. The one you said has a beautiful voice that came in after Rm's opening rap part is Jimin :) and a lot of things you see in their music videos are not CGI. You can watch the making of, they do not explain much about how the MV was made and is more members centered but you can see what is cgi or not and some interesting things, plus you can know the members better!
