"He's so mad, he's going to debuff himself for no reason... Wait. Why is he only debuffing himself?" Had me rolling. This game is so much better as a speedrun, tbh.
As much hate as this game takes from the FF community... it's probably one of the most technical Final Fantasy games ever released. > . > I love this game btw :3
technical in what way? im about half way through and i stopped playing about a year ago, and before that i stopped playing a couple years before..it doesnt really captivate me like other FFs, even FFX-2 felt better, but im still open to going back and finishing it, but the spoilers given in this video early on about someone being a spy has stopped me from wanting to carry on watching to where i got up to.
Ignoring the last comment and answering to Matt : unlike the first XIII, XIII-2's leveling in the crystarium is highly workable. If you're thinking good about your strat, you can make powerhouses or weird combo that the characters were not really intended for in the first place (if you think... like me about your strat, you miss out a lot^^). Also true with the monsters. But as with Pokémons, some are simply better than others... Loads of sidequests, a whole lot more lore outside of the menu encyclopedia and good old silly Japanese weird factor. Makes it your standard FF with that lot.^^ Also, one of the most stable regarding progression. While you can go pretty much wherever you want (and get crushed a bit early^^), there is always a sidequest for your level through the entire game, all the way to superbosses. Something most other FF have (10-20 painful hours of grinding) is absent from this game, replaced with silly but at least not repetitive questing. There is also bad stuff. I'm not trying to be oblivious to it. But other FFs have it too and the question was "what's even interesting in XIII-2 ?".^^
Final Fantasy seems to be making other games as of late; Final Fantasy XII was the best Star Wars game I've played, XIII-2 the best Pokemon game, and rumour has it XV, when it comes to PC, will be the best Xenoblade game
XIII-2 is a fun game. It's nowhere near as deep as XIII can get gameplay wise, but the amount of freedom it gives you early on to branch out and experiment is very appealing.
This is actually the only FF past X that I've never beaten. Couldn't get past the bahamut trio fight at all. Maybe I was just playing the game wrong :')
@@VileGlory FF13 too hard??? Lol. Actually I think I remember something about it but in Japan. Most of the chapters are just mashing X and it is not until the huge map when it gets hard but that's pretty obvious you need to level up to continue.
actually its triggered on the first paradigm shift of a fight and from then you can trigger it after 12 seconds since the last atb refresh you did (really helpful )
From what I remember, both Caius and Noel have those powers because they are supposed to be the protectors of Yeul, Caius wanted Noel to kill him so he could stop suffering with each Yeul's deaths and rebirths and so Noel could take his place. Serah is pretty simple - in FF13 she did get branded.
The goddess Etro. Spoilers: She 'blessed' them with gifts 'cause she sympathized with humans. Humans were made from her blood by Lindzei. Caius has the Heart of Etro. Noel was next in line to receive Etro's heart and be Yuel's guardian. Serah has the Eyes of Etro, like Yuel. The lore of the 13 series is actually really cool.
Someone pointed this out on their FF13 playthrough, that they really do the plot a disservice by not talking about it and laughing about it like it doesn't matter. Okay fine if you don't like the game, and then mocking parts of it just made this not fun to watch :/ I know this is five years old, boo hoo, but just saying... The heavy metal chocobo theme is also freaking hilariously awesome and when they made fun of it, ughhhh that hurt.
personally i would say ff 13 and 13-2 > ff 15. I don't care for the devil may cry combat they went for. Not what made final fantasy ...final fantasy. If i want devil may cry i would just buy that instead.
Ok ff15 is not great but still better than 13, turn based rpgs are not the future get over it. Its kinda like 12 in a way also, I like that the enemies are on screen and does not go into a separate battle mode
"Here we goooooo! RPG Limit Break BEGIN!" *commentary is drowned out by the game audio* *wah wah waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!* :p Maybe in May this year, you could, yaknow, TURN THE AUDIO DOWN BY 50% so we can hear you. :(
final fantasy 13 is shit 15 is better but still not good they just don't come across as final fantasy games anymore Shame final fantasy is my favourite rpg but the last one I played and actually enjoy and completed was 12
Run Start: 0:30 (game audio is loud at first, and fixed a few minutes in)

"Please don't play drinking games while playing this game, because you will die."
Most casual PSA I've ever heard.
Very true though.

@@mrbemystar 7 is disgusting, cant look at it without wanting to kill myself. 8 is superior in every way
3:01:33 he held his breath there 🤣
XIII-2 is a game that sorely needed a hard difficulty
They actually tone down the difficulty in XIII-2 because of complaints about XIII being too hard and boss battles taking too long
This is actually the only FF past X that I've never beaten. Couldn't get past the bahamut trio fight at all. Maybe I was just playing the game wrong :')
At least a couple of the post game bosses are hard? That's the best I got.

@@SSJvegito501 the bosses in xiii are pretty hard unless you grind. Most people die more than once on the pope guy
so is atb refresh basically when you pardigm shift to a new paradigm after the last attack you did in the previous paradigm?
Fendias Yep!

Who are the three also knowledgeable people sat on the couch (that were also in the 13 run)?
1:48:00 I laughed so hard at that. I do that hand gesture too haha
So many people don't know Nobuo is a metalhead.
why do they not check audio levels ever.
Yeah. Ow, my ears. I couldn't hear the commentary because the game audio drowned it out. :(
Maybe they got the tech people from AGDQ 2017.
It's only for the first 5~10 minutes and it's the first run of the season
lol why is no one looking at the stream to see the audio level and is no one on chat complaining about this issue????
Beware! Beware the stare of X! The paradox. *dubstep*
SumI hav za channel tu Viligent on za kouch?
Anyone else realize that he actually gets the Gilgamesh crystal?
Serah is best waifu!
FF13 characters got their powers by being L'Cie but Serah and Noah aren't that. Did this game ever explain why the protagonists could use magic?
From what I remember, both Caius and Noel have those powers because they are supposed to be the protectors of Yeul, Caius wanted Noel to kill him so he could stop suffering with each Yeul's deaths and rebirths and so Noel could take his place.

Serah is L'Cie that what is what the entire last game was about saving Serah and Noel is a guardian of Yeul. Did you even play the game?
PS4!!!
Omg turn the music off or at least down some

announcer ruined this run for me >:(
Is Audio level messed up the entire run?
not sure if you stuck around or not, but nah it gets better. not completely but it does
No. It gets way better

lol ff 15 is nothing like devil may cry, its more like kingdom hearts
doing a bad job at selling the game then. Why would i want to play kingdom hearts when i want to play final fantasy? Wasted time imo.

It might be better than FF8 at least? Best I got.
I didn't want to hear the commentary anyway.
