- Based on the best-selling collection by Cheryl Strayed, Tiny Beautiful Things follows Clare (Kathryn Hahn) a writer who becomes a revered advice columnist while her own life is falling apart.
When we first meet Clare, her marriage to her husband Danny is barely limping along; her teenage daughter, Rae, is pushing her away; and her once-promising writing career is non-existent. So when an old writing pal asks her to take over as the advice columnist Dear Sugar, she thinks she has no business giving anyone advice. After you lose a parent, especially if you're young, it all comes into such sharp focus.
I suddenly lost my dad at 19 and 7 years later I still play out that Last Year and how I should've treasured every minute with him and taken every opportunity to be together.
Mom is still here and I regularly think whether I'm doing enough to show her how much I love her and internalize our time together because no one knows how much of it is left.

The book is amazing! An all time favorite read of mine…. But nothing about this trailer felt like the book ?!?! This trailer looks great!!! But it doesn’t say anything about stories: advice for “unstuck” or “the baby bird”….. it feels more like her memoir, WILD

Looks good. Funny and sad. The part about the yellow mustard coat is relatable. Just not a coat. And not taking anything in life for granted because it could be gone in the blink of an eye.

Read the book by Cheryl Strayed that the show is based on. It will definitely break and soothe your heart at the same time, which is such a perfect way to describe something like this. She also wrote the book Wild, which was turned into a movie with Reece Witherspoon.

I am Literally writing down all her advice,,, after putting my dog down yesterday, her talking about disappearance is just fantastic healing and the need to resurrect,, we all who have lost loved ones deserve to watch this great series

I'm going to have to sign up for HULU to watch the series. In this clip at the 1:25 mark there is a mug on the coffee table that I made by hand in my studio. I've had people texting me to tell me that it's in a number of scenes on the show as it's used by the main character:) I'm not sure if it was something that the actress chose to have, or if it's something that props picked out but it's an honor to have my work placed prominently in a tv series, small as it may be. There are other ceramics in scenes that I can tell are also handmade by ceramic artists. Very nice to see that the set designers chose handmade work rather than using all mass produced.

i felt like the title was familiar but couldn't place why, until halfway through the trailer when it hit me that this was based on the writer of one of my favorite non-fiction books!! can't wait to watch it 🥹🥹
Me too! I did a dance when I realized. Definitely one of my favourite reads. My favourite quote from the book is, "When you meet a man in the doorway of a Mexican restaurant who later kisses you while explaining that this kiss doesn’t “mean anything” because, much as he likes you, he is not interested in having a relationship with you or anyone right now, just laugh and kiss him back. Your daughter will have his sense of humor. Your son will have his eyes."

I don’t know where to start, if I only knew this show would have me in tears like this I may not have watched it. However it had me laughing all the same. These emotions are the same that overwhelmed me when my mom passed from this same monster cancer & I felt like I just couldn’t go on… this is a masterpiece to say the least… we need more stories like this ❤

I love this. Based on the description in Amazon Prime, I thought it was going to be a Hallmark movie. Pleasantly surprised. It's kind of raw and kind of real. Not gritty. Still uplifting.

FINALLY KATHRYN HAHB IS FHE MAIN EVENT! We’ve been waiting DECADES!!! I’m thrilled
I basically cried without stopping for 4 hours watching this. It's far from perfect, quite a few stock characters, cheesy at times but my god, it's so honest it just wins you over from the start. The cast is top notch but Kathryn Hahn just takes it to another level, as she usually does with anything she's in. Why she isn't getting way more roles is beyond me, I can't think of many other actors who can match her talent.

I looove Reese Witherspoon because her productions are always epic but I dislike how most are mini series that always don't get a second season yet they end with major cliffhangers. One is left wondering what was the point of watching? It's only the morning show that atleast gave us subsequent seasons
