As someone who has struggled with anorexia and body dysmorphia (not to the degree of needing rehab) my whole life, this is what I do with my husband. I trust the way he sees my body so much more than the way I do, even though I know he's biased because he loves me.
Such a powerful line, and one I wish I had reinforced in my sister more when I had the chance. Glad to hear you guys have such a great relationship though!

Just finished watching this, and it was such a beautiful movie! Sad and sweet and real, great use of shots and imagery to invoke the energy of whatever mood is being experienced. Kind of triggering when it comes to body dysmorphia, but for me it was a good kind of triggering? Idk. Like it was comforting to know other people have those thoughts and it made me feel less alone in the human experience. Anyways, hope everyone reading this has a decent day and just remember that even if you don't feel like it, you are beautiful and you're on this earth for a reason

I’m not exactly sure but I think Courtney and Thomas met through this film and they’re together now which is really cute. Anyway, this looks really good and I can’t wait to see it. Proud of Brittany, I remember her talking about her movie in a podcast ages ago so this is exciting :)

It’s all very, very dramatic.
At 4am I do a 5k run then I work hard all day, I might be a bit over weight but I don’t have time to think about it, by the time I get home I’m so fucked I want food and bed but my son wants so play Fortnite with me so I do that, I’m mentally and physically exhausted and I’ve not had time to think about how I look or how I feel about myself. This is most people, only people who are bored and somehow living off others have time to think about their existence and how skinny they are. Get busy, walk forwards, do your best for your family and your issues will fade away behind you.
I'm happy for you that you're fine, but this attitude is pretty condescending and not helpful for people struggling with mental health and body issues. It's also just wrong. Just because someone is "busy' doesn't mean they won't struggle with mental health.
@@Marinucas I'm ok because I put the work in! You can call it condescending or you can read the words, I've been paralysed with thoughts and I figured out with help how to get past it. It's not wrong, you only quoted part of the sentence. Moving forwards means leaving crap behind, caring about your family and yourself is key. Simplifying your life also helps. Dwelling on shit doesn't do anything for anyone. How about you clear the room of snowflakes and take responsibility for yourself instead of whining to me about what is fair and what is not. The world is harsh, people can be vile, if you have no resilience, build it or suffer.
next time just say you have never struggled with mental health and save yourself from writing a paragraph lol. Mental health is not solved by "getting busy", there are many highly productive mentally ill people out there, you might even know one or work next to one and never know it. Mental illness in not just feeling down or dwelling on useless thoughts, it's a chemical imbalance in your brain or it might even be genetic. And as you said in your comment, the world is harsh but sometimes for some pople their mind is harsher. Being empathetic is not being a snowflake fyi

The only reality behind what this movie is pretending to convey / understand in painting this love story is that it's disingenuous, entirely about appearance, and brittle.
I feel like this trailer cut is NOT doing the film ANY justice. It's very odd, It feels like a student film, but looks fantastic, with apparently, great casting, a premise that seems interesting. I just can't get over how the trailer makes it seem like the film is made up of 90% mid-level performances, which is weird considering all of the talent in this production. I'll still give it a watch.

As someone who actually lived through the experience that the guy in the trailer is experiencing, I know it’s not just “nightmare psycho girlfriend”. Grow up man.
