You Mr. Long....Shada ka ka....have to tell you, u are excatly what show business should be....top entertainer, beside that top top top musician - bass player....enyoj every single minute watching your videos and I thank you for that. Stay safe, stay well, and regards from Slovenia
Hey what's up Johnny I religiously watch this channel and man God bless 🙌 it always brightens my day bro. I'm from Jamaica and you make me love bass even more than I already do hope you see this post and shut out to hootie he's a star. Praying 4 u be safe 🙏🏾 love and respect sir...
Hi Johhny. I'm with you on the Sire. I was lucky enough to get a SH V9 4 string in mint condition and it's brilliant. with the controls, there's more than just a jazz bass living in there. it's so versatile. I can make it sound like a P bass. Just got to learn the controls as you said in an earlier video. keep up the good work and the positive messages and good vibes. Stay well and God bless.
Ive got a V7 2nd gen with the same preamp as this video and totally no regrets...the 3 way mid switch is easier and less time consuming than the original Sire sweepable pots...installation is a little tricky though due the switch, but is doable...new strings next and she'll be a beast
Yes. There are many configurations with the pots and controls, so you have options as far as how many pots you have and stacks. Watching Johnny's vids convinced me to get one for myself. I paid about $60 including shipping. Pretty easy to wire, did it myself. For me, its not a miracle preamp, but for the money, its def a good addition to your aresenal.
Personally I would keep away from the SBK series...the midrange isnt that good...I wasnt interested in Tone Monster after experiencing that, but I thought what the hell, I'll give TM another go but using the SEB series this time, plus I wont lose much $$$ if its crap, but I've got no regrets this round...
The definition, punch, and growl is crazy-and that's without a horn! I'm so glad I have my V7 5!!!
The magic is in the mids. Stand 10 ft from your amp when checking your tone, but all the magic is in the mid settings on a stock V7 5-string.
@@ericward8010 I agree!

That Low "B" is rich and deep and not muddy at all. Nice! Another amazing video. And let Hootie get some playing time. Touch and agree good sir! 👍🏿
I wanted to add a Jazz a couple of years back.
I went for the 4-string Sire V7.
I love it. 👍

Whats the difference between the Sire Pre amp and the aTone Monster pre amp. Strength/ Weakness?
Do you monetize your videos?
Is the tone monster preamp inexpensive
