Between being told that Heihachi would never return by Harada himself and the addition of Clive, season one has been kinda disappointing. Let's not forget about Eddy's *unnecessary* Gen-Z hairstyle lol
I still say that Heihachi should have stayed dead in canon. Kazuya got a big credibility boost by being the one to kill him for real, and his death actually made things feel like they were progressing. Now, I just don't care anymore.
@@theinfinitywarden7759 It's not Shakespeare, but it was what I would call serviceable, especially around the time of Tekken 4. Heihachi's return completely invalidating the events of Tekken 7 in the dumbest way possible is the absolute low point.
@@theinfinitywarden7759 Tekken 4 was great. And the first 3 games were alright considering there wasn't a lot of detail to it. Old simple character presentation in fighting games from 90-s worked well. It progressively becomes more of a joke the more details they include into the story telling. Back when Tekken didn't try to be a full screen time anime it was good.
@@JunKazamaFan Funny thing is, Tekken 4 is when Namco hired more writers, resulting in the characters having these drastic changes in their design. Tekken 4 is solely disliked for its gameplay, not its story and character designs. That is the best aspect and what introduced me to the story of Tekken
@@wulf8889 Yes but not to a point where it became that important, it was only an annoyance that they used that same hairstyle. I honestly don't mind because I think it fits the character, but they immediately moved on from it after like a week of complaining, while other problems stuck around for months
@@Matt_Underwood did they really? Lidia's faded away. Eddy being dlc also did his hair the bigger deal. Heihachi? The positive comments eclipsed it. Clive? High viewcount for the trailer. Might end up having high usage rate as well like Noctis or not being a big deal in competitive.
I'm still a big upset that Heihachi's back mostly because of story reasons. Yeah, his gameplay's fun, but I feel like just having Heihachi back makes Tekken 8 no longer feel like this amazing evolution of Tekken. Plus we have Reina already, who was basically the evolution of Heihachi, but now that he's back it makes Reina feel a little obsolete
I think one of the reasons why Tekken 8s season 1 DLC feels underwhelming is because the majority of people who legacy and new from Tekken 7 didn't pay attention or frankly didn't care about Tekken 7s arcade release so they don't have the perspective to understand that Tekken 8 having 32 characters on Launch is the biggest launch roster since Tekken 6.0. Tekken 7.0 launched with 16ish characters with Yoshi , Jack , jin and Devil Jin all bring DLC for the arcade version released throughout its year and a half of its lifespan. Tekken 7 FR which added akuma also added Nina , Eddy , Bob , Master Raven , Lee , Miguel , Kuma and Panda. Adding all of these characters back into the Second Version of the game made it so that when T7 released on consoles the roster felt more completely out the gate but people don't realise even in the arcades people had to wait for characters to be unlocked through time release which is the same process as waiting for the next DLC. In a lot of ways T8s base roster is just too well rounded to have an obvious here's who's going to be DLC and it boils down to do you want DLC Dragonuv or Raven or would you want DLC Eddy and Lidia most people would choose the former rather than the later
This game is shooting itself in the foot at every single possible turn. Day 1, no dc penalty. Then they added a tekken shop a few weeks in and banned a bunch of modders. But I can still download auto parry hacks no issue if i wanted. Heihachi didnt come with his stage, the season pass is more expensive than individually buying the characters. Tekken 8 is garbage, tekken 9 will also be garbage. IT WILL TAKE the craziest most impossible fixes in season 2 to fix this game, watch it not happen. Bandai screwed us on this one.
@@Superfoodcookie ok? Is what i said incorrect. NO. Why is this game made for casuals who will quit this game, when its the die hard fans that stick with it. Aint no one whos played tekken for the past 12 years want a battle pass. YET we are the guys stuck with it. Window shopping sucks for fighting games. Will i be playing tekken 8 3-8 years after release, OF COURSE they're gonna fix it by then. But there is still damage to the game for the people WHO STICK AROUND LONG TERM. Not casuals who love final fantasy, theres a new game every 2 years for them. And another of their favourite games. Fighting games stick for a long time. Mortal kombat is the exception.
@10du16 lol its has a bigger player base then tekken 7 ever did. Sorry if facts hits ur feeling. If you hate tekken 8 then leave? Don't play it again. Leave the tekken community base and go back to sf6 or mortal kombat. Sales and data all point to it being stronger than 7. It is what it is.
Tekken8 is not what Tekken was, they diverted towards a game easy for button mashers to keep more people attached in long terms with game and added DLCs and other stuff, but most loyal players are not happy as they think its not what Tekken was. I think they will try to fix but in general Tekken legacy and hype as best fighting game is now coming to end. R.I.P Tekken we will miss you.
I don't think Tekken 8 is a Bad Game but there's so many Idiotic Decisions made by the developers and writers just keeping the game from being enjoyed. that ironically that said I find Clive to be best character in the season 1 pack compared to the other characters that either should've been in the roster or in Heihachi case made the Last Game a Pointless Beta or Just thought what so ever. I get Heihachi is Iconic but the way they brought him back just looks like they don't give a fuck about our Intelligence cause fans eat anything they shit out.
with the current state of the tekken community, I feel like even if we'll get the fan favorites like AK or Ogre, we'll always end up finding something to bitch about, warranted or not.
You download a guest character expecting the said guest character to play like a fist fighting martial artist🤨.you could have just got lidia or eddy if you want to play a character who uses his fist no need to be so stupid about it.
@randothecrambo7842Some guest characters still stay true to the game's mechanics. Terry fits very well in SF6 so that's not a point. And Mai probably will too. Sounds like he just wanted to give him a chance. Me personally, as soon as I saw Clive I immediately wanted to find a new fighting game. Virtua Fighter and the new Fatal Fury are on the horizon. Clive is too much imo
Eddy's 333, Lidia's resell, Heihachi came too early (turning the whole story into a comedy really), and Clive belongs in Soul Calibur. Season 1 was a disaster imo.
My biggest issue is that making all of them stacking power-up characters has felt very samey. I wouldn't be surprised if Anna got a stacking power-up that affects her Chaos Judgement stance or something.
"No one hates a game more than it's own community". There were problems. The character choices are what they are. At least they were fun. As much as "Reselling what we had" is, they ARE different enough to play and enjoy in Tekken. Clive, as much as a pain in the ass he is to fight against, is a really fun character. That's all i ask for, and that's all you should expect. Never be mad about a crossover, because it can bring a lot of people to you game - GBVS players know this.
you can be disappointed and dissatisfied. I have my character but disappointed with how they’ve handled tekken 8. way too offensive too many plus frame dribble but i still love me some tekken just disappointed cause it could be so much more. clive is not hype imo. he’ll just give us quick match infinite rematch at least. idk but season 1 is critical to the health of a game. the it didn’t release in an arcade isn’t a viable excuse anymore. i main shaheen btw. not that it matters but i haven’t spent a dime since the base game, i don’t do customs, i just want good games thats it
Season 1? This games celebrating its 30 year anniversary what are you on about? I don't even hate this s1 dlc but your comment is forgetting Namco have 30 years of seeing what makes customers mad and you're just saying "guys chill", cool I'll just chill then
I'm glad someone finally said it, but with yoshimitsu in the game people won't really care, Clive is just too much though he's such a pay to win character.
They sold the same fundamental design 3 times now. I will crash out if i see another character with stance mix, poor pokes, only a -13 low poke and the rest death on block, extremely op Aids heat, and some "gimmick" that requires no change of one's playstyle yets gives ridiculous abilities
I’ve had the theory that eddy and Lidia were base roster characters that BAMCO pulled them out and released them over half a year to work on the Heihachi and most of the time developing the animations and stage for Clive.
I'm new to Tekken (Tekken 8 being my first ever game since it was on sale for playstation) so I can't speak about the other characters, but I find some of the Clive arguments to be weird once I played through the story mode (And yes, I'm a Clive fan). I've seen a few comments saying he shouldn't be in Tekken because he has a sword, but Yoshimitsu has a sword and is in the story mode though...Clive having his sword and powers fits the game perfectly imo after playing through the story mode where characters have demon powers and swords.
The whole season is disappointing. Eddy and Lidia should’ve been base roster. Heihachi was done for shock value and just makes the Mishima story even more tired. Doesn't help that the explanation for his revival shows the writers have the combined IQ of a side mirror. And idk anything about Clive but guests fighters are gonna guest.
Clive’s pick rate this week has been absurd, which just fans the flames. I thought he looked cool in tekken until I fought Clive players for an hour straight. Despise the character now, honestly
People here don't either own clive or take time to actually study him lol. He's not op. Every single tekken fanatic screams op per DLC release. Tekken 7 they released almost S tier every single time. We have yet to see anyone dethrone Drag, Jin or Nina. Theyre still by far the best characters. Clive is flashy but he's very punishable. Fun fact every single launcher he has is punishable. Hence you can't throw it out for fun and hope it hits with no worry. His strongest move which does need a nerf is f1+2, its true that move is stupid af. But otherwise I just power crush every single time he tried to shift for his 50/50 forcing them to use his low damage leg sweep more often which i then block a lot more often which leads to a full combo. People haven't figured him out yet and no wonder, its only been a week. He's already being placed in A tier at best. Means he's along side other characters like Bryan, Steve, Kaz.
Haven’t spent a dime on this season….absolutely insane how people just cough up money for blatant bs. Too many goofies payin for ish. We speak with dollars and people just still simp man. Anyways VF6 and City of Wolves is comin so there’s still hope
@LightWavess Do it Tekken stole everything from VF anyway. The devs working on it show that they care. Also guaranteed to have a Yakuza character, too.
What’s even totally worst , I think given we’re only getting 4 DLC characters per season is technically not enough that you’re pretty much leaving out the rest of the missing Tekken cast characters. And shoehorning guest characters can be felt like it’s a wasted spot for a said character. So yup, the last two is what left a lot of fans very sour to this first season. P.S. season two dlc better not be four only characters please!
I am firmly in the Clive haters camp, but one thing I commend them for is releasing him only a few days after the initial announcement. I remember being hyped for Lidia and having to wait for almost 2 months to check her out. Then Heihachi is back, I'm excited beyond words and then I have to wait 3 months and I don't care that much anymore. Ridiculous move imo.
Because they sold us Heihachi, one of the iconic characters in Tekken's history, as dlc (same thing applies to street fighter's bison). Also, they made that stupid ass story chapter where they explained us how he "survived" being thrown into a volcano. Special mention to Eddy, another iconic character (not at the level of hei) sold as dlc too. "Oh but look how successful the dlcs have been on season 1" , you released one of the main characters of the story of tekken, ofc its going to sell a lot, try releasing paul, yoshi or king as dlcs; they'll get similar results.
Anna is a favorite among Tekken players, I can definitely give them that but…. As an actual character in the Tekken game that’s we’re she fell short in the last 3 games since Tekken 5. And almost like she doesn’t have a progress except for chasing Nina so much. And it didn’t help that she never had a scenario last game. If Harada play his cards right, ( and I think he has a high chance of disappointing fans. ) I rather have a DLC story as a prequel before the actual tourney Saga that happened or something related like… where & what Lili and Asuka did during before the last moments. Or see Jun story somewhere. Just crossed your fingers season 2 & 3 be better be good.
Yes, but that's fine since I'm not hardcore and apparently not the target market so the lack of Lucky Chloe or Alex or Roger will just be how things go. At least Panda is still here but I kinda hit my Panda limit after the first month.
yea people don’t realize how much hype akuma and geese brought to tekkken 7. i have my main but i do love characters that other enjoy ie eliza, anna, jjk guest, guts from beserk, baki?, kengan? etc etc i do care about other players being happy with the game and i do find this game to press heavy ie offense is your defense. the first to two sucks too i like longer sets with random folks…. it’s still my jam… for now. just wish they would give the people what they want it’s not that hard really
heihachi should have stayed dead canonically but other than that this was great dlc with a lot of love put into every character they obviously are trying to make lidia and eddy more important for the modern story which is cool because they're great characters
Worst DLC season I have ever seen and I wasn’t a fan of SF6 season 1 thought it was bad but Aki, was something good and Akuma is fun but I just really hate re selling characters this whole pack is just reduce reuse recycle.
Crazy how people were pissed off that we got a new character from another series joining the roster as DLC but will happily pay and eat up characters that should've been in the base game from the beginning ( Eddy and Lidia ) Clive saved this
I understand that this is a very experienced franchise, but i feel like the community needs to cut them some slack and be able to understand some things even if it is a tough pill to swallow. First and foremost, the approach to tekken 8 is unlike what they have done before, so it will take time for it to become great, or even good. Secondly regarding Clive. I understand why people wanted Tifa, but its not that hard to see that this was done from a purely financial standpoint. Not only for tekken but for their newest edition to the final fantasy franchise. Thats why Clive is here. And to illustrate my point, some well known tekken streamers started playing final fantasy XVI shortly after he was revealed or they had played him. My point is, be patient. It will take time, but it will be worth the wait.
During the dev videos with the Tekken and FF16 devs talking about Clive and his development, Clive was being planned to be a DLC character since about January 2023, or about 6 months before FF16 even came out.
Question; is it possible to obtain DLC characters without spend real world money? Just by playing, I mean. Like with in-game currency, completing challenges or such?
@Usualsf Thanks =) in such a case, I simply won't take these characters =/ I find kinda anti-consumer to sell characters in a fighting game. I can understand battle passes, cosmetics, whatever... but characters shoulf be either free for all or obtainable by playing the game. Of course, this is just my opinion.
I’ll tell you why I hate it. We shouldn’t have to pay for characters that are staples of the franchise. In the past games. We didn’t pay for shit with loaded rosters. Clive ? Sure. Lidia? I guess. Eddy and heihachi!? Hell no. Now we have to pay for characters that have always been there? I literally refuse to by any of the season passes. It’s be nice if other ppl would follow so they would stop. But y’all just hand these ppl your money. 😒
I am 100% sure that if Season 1 had Reina, Victor, Azucena and Clive as DLC chars , their sales would be much higher, especially if they made Reina playable in Story Mode and than made her first DLC char. Much, much more hype than just Eddy whom we know since T3.
Clive could absolutely be balanced. But no one that hasn't bought him can find that out in the lab because you STILL can't train punishes against characters you don't own
Uninstalled this game and never coming back. I don't care if season 2 is great and this game improves to be the best tekken ever - its too late, trust has been broken, and the damage is lasting and permanent. I'm done with Namco and their greedy monetization, baselessly taking down and striking harmless mods, DMCAing content creators, poorly treating its employees and being completely detached from the community. They have ruined the image of Tekken and I'm looking solely towards SEGA and Virtua Fighter to pick up the slack for 3d fighting games. The only thing that would bring me back is a re-release of 5DR with full rollback and crossplay. Otherwise, this series can burn in hell.
Because its pathetic : 1. Eddy a regular character could have been in initial roaster, instead of having two bears or having two chease characters ( azucena and victor). Eddy also a chease character himself. Why so much chease and then regular same old chease as DLC. 2. After Eddy (regular chease as DLC) Lidia failed to hype. Why would she what new she brings great personality, style, strength, uniqueness…yeah nothing. 3. Developers realise DLC is falling flat on face, make a u turn bring back hiehachi. Great iconic character but changed a lot from what it used to be. 4. Clive, now comes real shit…one match quit is how I deal with such shit.
I havent played tekken 8 because damn microsoft be leeching out money from me as much as paying car insurance for a series s yet but even though i know clive wont be my playstyle ill always be kazuya and hworang guy but ill still give clive a try he looks pretty fun cant wait to play both him and tekken 8
I'm pretty cool with Season 1. While Clive is the only character that I can safely say I am interested in maining as of this writing, I will for sure await to see what else they got for us in store. Regarding Heihachi's story implications, I kinda wished he stayed dead just for story, but as a Mishima fan, I love him being back and will see what the writers got in store for him.
Season 1 lineup should’ve been Legacy Characters to help celebrate the 30th anniversary of the franchise. Characters like Bruce, Baek, Michelle, Jaycee, Christie, Miguel, or Kunimitsu
That literally would have killed the game, Bruce and baek severely lacked any significant following its the age old tale of only wanting something cus you can’t have it
Honestly, heihachi wasn't really the issue for me. It was more of an issue of charging the heihachi stage separately from the season pass that really ticked me off
New virtua fighter is coming. Idk why I'm so scared about tekken8 if they mess up future season. But i still have my trust in tekken and I'm happy another 3d fg legend, VF is back
Worst season 1 in the history of modern fighting games and worst dlc picks as well.. tekken 8 does not have many redeeming factors sadly.. we are assisting the death of tekken right before our eyes.. the next seasons will be even worse.. assume the CURRENT tekken is the best tekken we will ever get going forward. Oh well its really time for a serious contender to spawn, im tired of this shit game
S1 just solidified that I won't be tuning in for S1 of Tekken 9 until I know every character being released. Even though I play all DLC characters, it was a large percentile of it's packaging which I would of changed if I knew. In other words, not worth the money
I wouldn't say disaster, but disappointing for sure, eddy change to 33333 playstyle, hei's stage not included with season pass, dlc characters not being available in training and replays when you didnt have them bought and clive is the negative, the positive tho, lidia and her stage is great, heihachi is super fu**ing fun, and ball in battle pass
If you have played tekken 7 dont buy the 1st season pass. This season is literally a Tekken 7 character pack since Clive is very similar to noctis, and the other 3 characters were in tekken 7.
While I enjoyed and put in a few hundred hours, I reached a point where I'm just sick with the matchmaking system over anything else. While it was just rank based, and you'd get a fair mix of high and low prowess to balance stuff out, with the ranks feeling legit, it felt alright. As prowess went up with me playing a few characters and getting a couple to Flame Ruler, the prowess matchmaking gets unbearable. As I pick up other characters, I quickly start getting other guys with closer prowess (me being around 160k , I feel I'm finding a lot of 190k - 210k more often than 150k-170k) that in their main character are often around Bushin or higher, having even found a few GoD in the process. While it's a good training a learning experience, it really got me into a style of playing more focused on adapting to the player and not so much the characters, however it feels straight up unfair a lot of the time. When VF Revo beta came out, alongside marvel rivals I kinda found myself spending my free time on those, and coming to tekken just for quick matches to not lose muscle memory as we go into S2.
Prowess based matchmaking is terrible idek why its a thing in quick match. i miss the days where it would just match you up with someone around your rank and their skill level would be random. Since im G.o.D rank no matter what character i player every person i fight never drops a combo or a setup and they have me downloaded as soon as the match starts. This is why i ended up making a new account just to learn new characters and play more casually. im honestly ready to drop this game but i feel like i only play it because i have so many hours invested in the Tekken Franchise and some mystical force in the universe wont allow me to quit /:
Seems to me like there are too many people who never played the early tekken games telling veteran tekken players what tekken should be, for a lot of people the first tekken game they ever played was Tekken 7 and now they are telling people who have been playing either since tekken 4 or 6 what tekken should be, the level of grifting in this community is insane...
They should bring Wang back. Old master archetypes are still better than whatever they are doing with the new characters. Wang, Gen-Fu, Shun Di, all great
I get that character loyalists are pretty upset if their character is not in the base game, even more so if they have to buy them as extra DLC. I'd be pissed too if they took away my Asuka. That being said, given how complicated the game is, I do think they actually have too many characters in the game. Tekken would, imo, greaty profit from significantly reducing the roaster (gameplay wise I mean) but at this point I don't know how this would ever be possible without a catastrophic backlash from just about everyone.
I am way more hyped with Virtua Fighter being announced. Tekken 8 just has far too many issues and the DLC fiasco is just the tip of the iceberg anyways.
Before I watch the full video (which I will Boogard don’t you worry), imma just say this was the season of the “stance”. We shall see what next season has to offer. I’m sure they’re going to get way more innovative with character identity
The thing about Clive is that I don’t hate his inclusion, I think it’s cool, however, it’s having to play Clive after Clive after Clive for the past week, it just becomes so repetitive to even play rn (To me at least)
idk why the clive haters just disappeared after the game awards reveal. this character will always be a wasted slot and we need to make sure the devs know this so that they can actually add a good character next season
Heihachi was the highlight of season 1. Even though bringing him back didn't make much sense story wise, the hype was pretty crazy when he was revealed. Plus its Heihachi. But I think the majority of the characters this season should've been on the base roster
People main issue with Tekken 8 is Heat being plus on everything and Rage art being FULLY IMMUNE and reduced damage by like 75% and it freezes the game meaning u cant punish until it ends... and dont get me started with armor not having a limit. yes u still take damage on armor and it can be grabbed or use heat to break it . but it should only block 2 hits or just one and that's it. street fighter 6 also has this same issue with Drive impact taking 3 hits before it can be stopped. if tekken fixes heat and Rage art defensive stuff then the game will be so much better. also for the game to actually know WHO PLUGGED.
Eddy is a safe bet, a mainstream character. Lidia Okay character but dull. Heihachi well-known character but boring. Clive boring character but to each there own.
Eddie was good Lidia being DLC again was bad Heihachi makes no sense to anyone who played Tekken 7s story mode and Clive was a Weird choice that made players who wanted Tifa to be in mad
Personally i dont think Clive fits in Tekken, but his inclusion is overall a good thing.. there is a divide in the community, the martial arts vs magical bullshit! and that made VF stand out more! personally i think this new direction of tekken is going to give VF a real chance in the market, and if two 3d fighters are successful, everybody wins! i want more 3d fighters
I was honestly someone who hated Clive but after playing him, I think he's a great addition. He's very much a tekken character. Now going forward I hope they make better choices for DLC but especially for the battle pass. So much of it is reused things from TTT2 like the character artwork.
he was base roster for console version, which is the "vanilla" version to the majority of players outside of Japan and maybe other parts of Asia like South Korea.
I don’t want to sound like a complainer but the way the season 1 of Tekken 8 has unfolded has me disappointed and nervous for its future a bit. All the predatory post-launch inclusions aside, it just doesn’t feel like the Tekken devs are paying attention in certain aspects. You had an opportunity to bring back certain characters and give them a 2nd chance on the main roster, and instead left those same characters off the game again and then took away even more than in Tekken 7. It’ll be fun waiting 2, 3, or even 4+ years for your main to return (if they even return at all). I understand this is the way gaming is now but it’s sad that Tekken for a lot of people is a big waiting game forcing yourself to play characters you don’t like as much because a third of the game’s staple characters are locked behind a DLC roulette…
I for one am glad that the “leaks” turned out to be bullshit and it made me like Heihachi and Clive even more. Seeing people disappointed because they thought they outsmarted the devs is like sweet justice.
I gotta say... this idea that you shouldn't pay for a character that was in a previous iteration of the game is kinda disingenuous. By that logic I should've only bought the game for like 4$... 'cause you know, I've already paid for Kazuya, Heihachi and most of the characters since the first Tekken. Also, no character, not even those in the base roster, are "free"... they are all included in the game's price. And lastly, unless we wanna turn this into another MK1 situation, the game needs microtransactions to sustain support... remember what was like during T6 and TTT2? No microtransactions, no support.
What do you guys think about the first seasons DLC In Tekken 8?
I wish Eddy and Lidia didn’t exist but the last two I’m planning on playing a lot so they made up for it
@TheCabbageGuy-wr7riEddy and Lidia just seem like base roster in DLC, but its fine that they're in.
I understand bring Heihachi back for gameplay but it completely ruined the story side these games for no reason
pretty "eeeeh".
what if the guest character was 2B?
COULD YOU IMAGINE??

Tekken 8 is giving us a Final Fantasy character at the end of Season 1, with Anna Williams headlining Season 2.
This seems very... familiar.

Not releasing Base rosters is trash. Releasing them in season to earn money fast
Oh, did they announce a Base Roster for season 2? I haven't seen any news about a DLC Base Roster yet
People are dumb enough to buy them🤦🏿
You know what was the worse thing about this Pass? None of the characters has Arcade story mode.
One thing you're forgetting of what people hate about Eddy being DLC or, in general, is his generic hairstyle.
>.> I don't see the point in getting mad at that for someone else.
Game is already more popular than tekken 7 was. Theyre doing fine without your opinion seems like.
@@Superfoodcookie Who tf cares? Casuals will quit, die hard fans will stay, if you turn off the die hard fans, thats bad simply put

Clive is not balanced at all.
Fr idk what universe he been in
with the current state of the tekken community, I feel like even if we'll get the fan favorites like AK or Ogre, we'll always end up finding something to bitch about, warranted or not.
I labbed Clive for a bit, and then fully came to understand this is not a tekken game, un-installed and downloaded sf6
Its season 1 mf’s need to chill.
Real
you can be disappointed and dissatisfied. I have my character but disappointed with how they’ve handled tekken 8. way too offensive too many plus frame dribble but i still love me some tekken just disappointed cause it could be so much more. clive is not hype imo.
he’ll just give us quick match infinite rematch at least. idk but season 1 is critical to the health of a game. the it didn’t release in an arcade isn’t a viable excuse anymore.
i main shaheen btw. not that it matters but i haven’t spent a dime since the base game, i don’t do customs, i just want good games thats it
And your point is?
Season 1? This games celebrating its 30 year anniversary what are you on about?
I don't even hate this s1 dlc but your comment is forgetting Namco have 30 years of seeing what makes customers mad and you're just saying "guys chill", cool I'll just chill then
First impressions are important.
"Swords and magic don't belong in tekken" that means we need to take out a few other characters that "don't fit"
I'm glad someone finally said it, but with yoshimitsu in the game people won't really care, Clive is just too much though he's such a pay to win character.
@@chillyman7340if you think Clive is pay to win you might just need to get better at the game ngl
@@KingOfDarknessAndEvil How long have you been playing tekken for?
Insinuating that any Tekken characters are on the same level of anime bullshit as Clive is honestly laughable
yoshimitsu is a classic. relax
They sold the same fundamental design 3 times now. I will crash out if i see another character with stance mix, poor pokes, only a -13 low poke and the rest death on block, extremely op Aids heat, and some "gimmick" that requires no change of one's playstyle yets gives ridiculous abilities
Bye. Enjoy playing Tekken 4 for another 20 years.
I’ve had the theory that eddy and Lidia were base roster characters that BAMCO pulled them out and released them over half a year to work on the Heihachi and most of the time developing the animations and stage for Clive.
Very very disappointed
Bro Clive is way far from balance 😂
Yeah, a small part of me thinks they released him OP intentionally to make more money off of it. Super shady.
😂 bruh. Lmao 1+4 level 5.... very balanced 😂😂😂 IT'S BETTER THAN THE RAGE ART LMAOOOOO
@Moneyybagg_Lu technically you will rarely see it it takes a lot to get level 5
@@moonknight8572no it doesn't lol you can 3 levels in a single round fairly easily
Tifa not being in 8 is a crime
Don't worry, she will be in VF
@SupremeKingToshiro might as well migrate to VF because Tekken is just nothing but a flashy turd with too many +frames
Tekken has the biggest cry baby devas in the entire gaming community. I feel bad for the devs
Season 2 characters: Anna, Craig Marduk, Armor King and Fahkumram. Wait for a story with Armor King and Craig together against Fahkumram.
That shit is so trash I can't even lie. You had to pay for all of those guy's in the last game
Lol that season pass might kill the game
Too much of a good thing. Harada wouldn't bring them all in on one season.
ill honestly never play tekken 8 again or literally will wait till seaon 3 if that turns out to be what the season 2 characters are lmfaoo
The worst fighter season pass in history tbh
yea people don’t realize how much hype akuma and geese brought to tekkken 7. i have my main but i do love characters that other enjoy ie eliza, anna, jjk guest, guts from beserk, baki?, kengan? etc etc
i do care about other players being happy with the game and i do find this game to press heavy ie offense is your defense.
the first to two sucks too i like longer sets with random folks….
it’s still my jam… for now. just wish they would give the people what they want it’s not that hard really

@@alexthebat-uy5be is he wrong though? This fighter pass has singlehandedly killed tekken as a whole
Clive shouldn’t be in the game
heihachi should have stayed dead canonically but other than that this was great dlc with a lot of love put into every character
they obviously are trying to make lidia and eddy more important for the modern story which is cool because they're great characters
Worst DLC season I have ever seen and I wasn’t a fan of SF6 season 1 thought it was bad but Aki, was something good and Akuma is fun but I just really hate re selling characters this whole pack is just reduce reuse recycle.
The majority of dlc was characters from the previous game. They could have introduced more new characters, or characters we haven't seen in years.
Already done quit this game back when Eddy was first released 😅
the literally recycled characters from tekken 7 except clive. i need season 2 to make me forget this mess
Don't defend bad game devs. harada is a fraud. Scamco suck
I basically got the season pass for no reason lmfao. i dont like any of the characters.
it's hard to resist the urge to pull out the credit card for fighting game DLC just so you have a full roster.
clive? balanced?? lmao
How isnt He balanced... Name one thing beside f1+2
I like Clive. Just because he has some power moves doesnt mean hes OP. Just side step Clive moves and call it a day.
Question; is it possible to obtain DLC characters without spend real world money? Just by playing, I mean. Like with in-game currency, completing challenges or such?
No
@Usualsf Thanks =) in such a case, I simply won't take these characters =/ I find kinda anti-consumer to sell characters in a fighting game.
Im in charge of season 2, were getting armor king, mokujin, kunimitsu and sonic the hedgehog as the guest character
We starting off season 2 strong with another returning DLC character as DLC... again 😂
Eddy and lidia put season 1 so far on the backfoot, that nothing outside of some epic releases could have saved this season pass.
Not going to argue with people, I just uninstalled the game after Clive.
Otherwise, this series can burn in hell.
hope u enjoy the better game series. virtua fighter is peam
"this game can burn in hell"... Bro go outside
Nobody will miss you
Because its pathetic :
That literally would have killed the game, Bruce and baek severely lacked any significant following its the age old tale of only wanting something cus you can’t have it
@chelsom.58 there’s other legacy characters, those were just off the top of my head. Aside from Heiachi, this season 1 lineup was kinda wack
Honestly, heihachi wasn't really the issue for me. It was more of an issue of charging the heihachi stage separately from the season pass that really ticked me off
i honestly just don’t see how clive is orange he looks red to me
Orange aura with his fire moves.
New virtua fighter is coming. Idk why I'm so scared about tekken8 if they mess up future season. But i still have my trust in tekken and I'm happy another 3d fg legend, VF is back
I'm done with tekken. I'm on the VF hype train
Cal Kestis show's up like it's normal.
People complained about Clive because he's not a martial arts character, and they called Lidia boring while she's a Karate fighter.
Wow.. I'm glad i don't engage with Tekken on social media

The people who say Clive is gonna make them buy the game are the problem
Would've loved Jack Garland instead of Clive.
He'a the right kind of A-hole for Tekken.
Dude, if they make the last character Tifa and Waffle house, that would be fire.
The only reason I don’t have a ps5 is bc AK isn’t in Tekken 8. The moment I hear AK is back in Tekken I’ll get my ps5 and Tekken 8.
For me personally clive made the whole season worth it
You skipped the controversy where you had to pay for heihachi stage even if you bought the battle pass
The thing about Clive is that I don’t hate his inclusion, I think it’s cool, however, it’s having to play Clive after Clive after Clive for the past week, it just becomes so repetitive to even play rn
(To me at least)
I just want the top end of the tier list brought down and balanced a bit man...
Tifa Lockhart would be lit and a slam dunk for tekken 8.
idk why the clive haters just disappeared after the game awards reveal. this character will always be a wasted slot and we need to make sure the devs know this so that they can actually add a good character next season
Clive is a good character
they have already probably finished the next dlc character and are working on the s3 one they don't gaf rlly
Nah bro hating a video game character just because it was a surprise is kind of scummy imo
Eddy and Lidia are more of a wasted slot than Clive.
Clive, at the very least, gave tekken another popularity boost.
@@thesteamguy6171Eddy and Lidia shoulda been base roster
People keep forgetting EDDIE WAS DLC IN TEKKEN 7
he was base roster for console version, which is the "vanilla" version to the majority of players outside of Japan and maybe other parts of Asia like South Korea.
7:10 I know Paper Mario: TTYD music when i hear it.
