Great editing on this episode, shout out to your editor for getting all these clips together and working them together. Makes the video even more informative.

Heihachi’s dialogue was done with stock voice recordings from throughout the series. That was what made Heihachi’s story ending in Tekken 7 become so emotional.
You're getting your Heihachi VAs mixed up. Daisuke Gouri, who also voiced Mr. Satan in Dragon Ball Z, voiced Heihachi in Tekken 3 - 6. He's the one who committed suicide. Unshou Iishizuka, who largely assumed must of the roles Gouri played in addition to being a talented VA in his own right, voiced Heihachi in Tag 2, SFXTK, and 7. He died of cancer.
Damn this made me emotional. The transition from the ending statement to “A fight is about who’s left standing. Nothing else.” really got me. This was a fantastic legacy. I still remember Evo 2017 being my first Evo BECAUSE of Tekken 7. I still talk and play with people I met there to this day. To whoever you are on the other side reading this, never give up on fighting games.
As a Pakistani following you on youtube as early as street fighter 4 it gives me so much joy to see you talking about Pakitani tekkens rise to stardome
So to add to this "Tekken 7 is a game for the world. I live in Denmark. Everywhere you went it was mostly exclusively Tekken or Soul Calibur everyone had. On the topic of Tekken 7: I'm a Tekken kid at heart. The first game (it was my actual first played video game) i can recall playing was tekken 2 on the PSone back in 2003 (i'm from '98 so that's 5 year old me just hitting buttons not knowing what i'm doing) but because i had a temper problem i weren't allowed to play it that much. Fast forward a bit and tekken 6 releases and i start to play tekken 5 on my friends xbox. It didn't stick to me so well, so i more or less quit playing. Quite a few years go by and we reach 2013 and i go to visit some friends of the family. They have an xbox with tekken 6 and i decided to give it a try. The story mode at the time was what was attracting my attention, because that kind of story mode in competitive fighting games was practically unheard of. But enter Soul Calibur 5 and because of it's cinematic story i swap tekken out immediately. I dabbled a bit with street fighter in between and pretty much knew all the hype of it. 2017 arrives and Tekken 7 comes out... akuma is in it... I had just started my collectors edition craze at the time, where i did the bonkers thing and bought the collectors edition of the game. Absolutely no regrets, because Tekken 7 it rekindled my fire for the series and the fighting game genre. And while it didn't do much for my friends at the time, it surely did for me. As a matter of fact, i'm waiting collectors edition of Tekken 8 to arrive on Friday, only because of the impact Tekken 7 has had on me for fighting games.
I was waiting for you to post this for one main reason. One of my really good friend's who passed away back when this first released, he got me back into Tekken and it was with Tekken 7. He was like a brother to me. I'll never forget him. We trained together and he taught me so much. I'm a better player now because of him and for the rest of my life, I will buy every Tekken that comes out, no matter what! Another cool thing about him too, he was making his own fighting game at a time, but was never able to finish it for obvious reasons. Very talented he was on so many levels. So yeah, Tekken 7 and the series now in general will always have a special place in my heart because of him! He was also a fan of you as well Max. Both watched you since back in the day and have always had so much respect for you! Can't wait for Tekken 8! Love the vid! Thanks for the memories dood! ✌🏼
Respect to that, I lost my best friend of almost 40 years last year and we started with 3 in the arcades. Tomorrow will be an emotional day for me but no way he would not want me to fire up a new Tekken day 1 and smile. I hope you do the same for your friend and enjoy this new entry!
what a roller coaster of emotions you put us through with this retrospective, you are truly one of the greats Max. Thank you for these videos, the commenting, the editing... top tier !
Wow, what a recap I can't believe I experienced all this live with trailer releases and tournaments Now there's less than a day left before Tekken 8 drops
Tekken 7 will forever hold a special place in my heart. I've liked fighting games, Tekken especially, since I was a kid, but I was button mashing garbage at them. Tekken 7 was the first time I made a dedicated effort to truly learn how to play, and while I still can't kbd or Electric to save my life after 6+ years and hundreds of thousands of hours, I still achieved things I never thought I could. I got good. I'm not a tourny level player by any stretch, and my ranked win rate is barely 52%, but I'm still proud of that when I consider how little I knew or could do when I started.
Watching your Tekken Legacy series really makes me appreciate Tekken even more than I already do, To me Tekken is a huge part of my life and has been my favorite fighting game since I can remember. Its a game that's been a part of my family since 96 and following this series since I was 3 years old starting with T3 , now being a 28 year old man watching it throughout my life it makes me extremely happy seeing it become a world wide phenomenon, it feels like just yesterday getting the collector's edition of T7 on release but time flies the older you get. It feels bittersweet to let go of Tekken 7 but I love the time I spent playing it. Thanks Max for making this series it really was a trip down memory lane and a huge thanks to the Tekken community for all the hype moments throughout Tekken 7's life time.
Man was I waiting for this one. I love tekken. But 7 was the first tekken game I ever decided to play more than just casually. This game has given me so much, I have traveled for this game, my first ever time going to EVO was for tekken 7. This game gave me so many memories with my younger brother it legitimately helped me bond with him. Played and talked to people from other parts of the globe because of tekken 7. This is the first time i ever competed in a game and it helped me so much to break out of my shell. It's amazing what this game did for the FGC and for so many people in a personal level. It's bitter sweet. Seeing this game end and the new one is literally hours away. I will remember the experiences with people, the friends I have made salty and gotten salty from. The laughs and jumps of celebration. Tekken 7 you did good. Tekken 8 definitely has a hell of a hole to fill. And I am ready for the next battle.
I'm just a spectator now played tekken 1 and last was tekken 3 with my friends, apparently we got old and life took over and never touched tekken after that, was still gaming but only mobas and mmo's, when I stopped gaming back in 2017 I sought out this game to check how it's doing after all the years and damn I didn't regret following it, I don't know the game on a technical level even back the but i have been following it since then and will continue to follow the pro scene onwards as a fan. good luck to y'all players and enjoy.
Tekken 7 is what got me to actually sit down and learn a fighting game. I was always a fan of fight games, but T7 got me really into understanding fighting game mechanics.
Watching this video was a trip down memory lane like no other. Going through each of the key moments in this game's lifespan reminded me of just how lucky we were to get this game because of its hype moments and its contributions not only to the Tekken franchise, but the FGC as a community, and more importantly a sport. Its growth was astronomical, and I can't wait to see how its trajectory can impact Tekken 8's in the future. Thank you for making this video.
Tekken 3, more specifically Tekken 4 was my starting point of how I got into the series from my dad and my brothers. Playing as King, Steve Fox, Jin Kazama, Ling Xiaoyu, Paul Phoenix, he music, the aesthetics, the raw playing field of traversing from 2d to 3d perspective while giving them the meanest fades is simply the best childhood game I evwr played. What will Tekken 8 deliver in the coming days is simply going to be worth the wait. I'm also looking forward to the upcoming tournaments and future characters soon. Can't wait fir the next battle!
I remember not knowing anything about fighting games and watching the lil majin viral moment. Bro that's too awesome! A week later i start learning about playing tekken
It's the game that got me back into fighting games 20+ years later, and I'm still here. That video might be the best homage/sendoff to a game I've ever watched.
Thanks so much Max for doing this series. As a newer player to the series it was great to see how the games and community developed through the years through someone truly passionate about the FGC. Really looking forward to T8.
I appreciate that these Legacy's on UA-cam are a sit down discussion about the game . Give the twitch Subscribers incentive to see all the actual playing of the game but with recaps. Don't want to assume the separation, but I think it's cool. Your editor(s) do an amazing job with the content you give them to work with.
Tekken 7 was a hell of a game. I actually had so much fun that I went for and even got the Platinum trophy for it. Farewell to you T7, it was a great ride. Now onto the next battle.
Funny enough, the day Tekken 7 hit consoles I got it day 1 and played it a week straight. Day and night, so much so that I got my Platinum trophy without even noticing I was just so immersed in having fun and playing that it surprised me.😅
This is the game that brought me into the FGC. This is the game that made me fall in love with this genre and the reason I wanted to learn, and while Im excited for 8, I would be lying if I said Im not feeling a tad emotional seeing 7's life span coming to an end And while a lot of people did not like characters like Noctis or Negan, those were actually some of the most fun characters in the game for me Thank you for everything, Tekken 7. I'll cherish the memories we had o7
I’m in the same boat, though i feel some will stick with 7 either by choice or because they can’t immediately grab 8, me being the latter. Here’s hoping the online isn’t dead considering T7 still goes on major sales every so often on all platforms
@@grimmestcreaper2212 Yeah thats something I worded poorly, I dont think T7 is going anywhere and Im sure people will stick with it, and even come back to it for years to come At least I'd hope so, and I'd too like to come back from time to time to get my Noctis or Negan fill
Tekken as a series is probably my top game of all time it’s been a joy watching every episode of your tekken series and I’ll admit you got me choked up at the end. Beautiful stuff
It is probably the best story Tekken had. Everything they set up in all the games concludes, like an Avenger movie. Problem was the execution with the reporter, not only did it take up way too much time, the monotone way that guy narrated the events was absolute trash. It could have had a chance if they had cut it down a bit and giving that guy more personality...still even with that it wasnt the optimal way of doing it. If you play Tekken, you care about the known characters, not some normie from the "real world".
That Pakistani story is so great not just for branching out, but for the area it represents. Sure it's on the eastern end of the turmoil of the Middle East, but it's certainly an area that faces plenty of hardship and that's usually forced onto its citizens to adapt to the country's priorities It's just great they not only got a sizeable league going for the region, but that they could be the cream rising to the top at the final EVO of T7's tenure. It makes me wonder how many other countries have such sleeping potential that merely need the opportunity to make dreams come true
Tekken 7 has done so many things for me. It got me off of my League of Legends addiction, it helped me through so many bad times like when i was hospitalized and only could go home on weekends, i would play all day and even at the mental hospital i would study yoshimitsu flowcharts and moves via a PDF thats still out there. I played so much Tekken getting better at it that i thought "what else could i be good at if i spent the time?" So i started learning 3D Modelling and Animation, Game development in unreal engine, a bit of C++ (still learning, its tough..) etc. Man its really been a long time, and i love this game with all my heart. It will always be dear to me. Goodbye Tekken 7
Best thing is that we have a straightforward campaign structure that didn't overstay its welcome while still delivering on hype moments. A good middle ground between the standard arcade endings which can feel too disconnected and T6's Scenario Campaign which is just absolutely bloated. And thankfully T8 follows this with more budget while also bringing back character endings.
I used to call the Arslan Ash story a shonen arc and I didn't think I'd see this exact feeling voiced here😭 Great video, that last part made me feel pretty emotional
Its hard to believe Tekken 7 is finally ending as the latest released installment tomorrow. Despite the underwhelming story and all the other issues from overpowered DLC characters to general graphical letdowns, we have to give Tekken 7 a lot a props for essentially saving the franchise and giving us with tons of great years of tournaments to go along with it. 'm sure down the line everyone will be able to look back on this game as the one that really changed the reputation of the series from a dwindling IP to the absolute best 3D Fighting franchise of all time. Which is what makes me even more excited to see Tekken 8 do nearly everything better than the last one to the point where i don't think I'll ever look back to Tekken 7, much less play it ever again. to We have a lot to own Tekken 7 for basically saving the franchise but if I'm agree with you with one
Amazing video Max, you are the guy that introduced me to the whole fighting game genre and I am deeply grateful for that, you are an one of a kind storyteller that will hopefully keep bringing a larger audience to enjoy the community and the games we love
That speech at the end where you're saying TEKKEN finally became a world wide fighting game had me tearing up. Excellent video as always. Props to the editor big time.
One part Max sort of didn't explain well, is how hype of a game Tekken is to watch. Outside of the projectiles of the guest characters, all you see is visceral hand to hand combat, and due to its 3d nature every action is seen on screen. This game was a true combat game. Also the commentary went BONKERS. There's a reason why "Good Ass Tekken" is a catchphrase
Won't lie, got a bit emotional, for Max it was off the cuff but it felt like a documentary. It was such a crazy rise man, before 7 Tekken basically had zero tournament presence, it had its famous pro players and committed communities in America but it was a side game at EVO, then when the main EVO games stumbled Tekken 7 was right there, with Akuma, to take every single bit of the limelight, i watched Street Fighter pros try the game, i watched basically everyone fall in love with it, people from all over the FGC were suddenly asking "hey guys... how do i get good at Tekken?". For me, a Tekken fan since 1995, it felt like the biggest redemption story of all time. The Geese reaction was so frigging amazing, it sparked so much hype and conversation, i've always felt that Tifa would fit the game better than Noctis, FF7 Remake is still in production so they SHOULD right that wrong in T8, but it's hard to argue that the Noctis play style really resonated with a lot of people, to the point that a Noctis-like is in the next game, what other fighting game brought in so many fan bases, SNK, Capcom, Square and The Walking Dead? Insane, they even gave Poland a character, man i hope Lidia comes back. With so many updates the balance has shuffled all over the place but has been great for variety, towards the end people were moaning about the number of Kunimitsu's, but then Arslan wins the final Tekken 7 tournament with Nina and, of all people, Katarina... what an amazing final twist to wind up the games incredible life, i don't know if we'll revisit this one with the same child like glee we get from the older games, but it's more than earned its place at the top of the pile.
I feel like crying even though I was raised with tekken since I was a child playing tekken 1-2 in my grandparents house every weekend BUT, my fondest memories I made were in tekken 7 played it since it came out and its the only game I still consistently play till today so saying goodbye like this really hits me but I’m happy a lot of people new or old got to experience it.
The ending with that tender message of T7's impact despite everything around the world going into a kickass montage of the big Tekken 7 story fights ending with Tekken 8's reveal playing to Heat Haze Shadow not only was such a good sendoff, but even the track itself seems to naturally lead into Tekken 8 as well with how that epic opening theme sounds so similar to it
yup as someone whos been playing and buying fighting games extremely casually all my life, barely playing online i just got into tekken last month and actually tried playing online and learning some shit. and its been rewarding as hell and made me go back and try other fighting games online and i got only Tekken to thank for it. Cant wait for 8 :)
Tekken 7's FGC did the one thing all these games are about but in reality. The best from all over the world showing up and rocking the crowd. Its so fucking rad man.
The Infinite Azure theme, Moonsiders 1st, is one of my favorite video game songs ever! I've spent countless hours listening to it while labbing. The angelic melody contrasted with the thumping bass is sublime, and when the beat really kicks in it's impossible not to nod your head along. Love the Smash remix too, glad it's one they brought over with Kazuya
@@kevninetytwo2348 stumbled upon that track literally 2-3 days ago and didn't realize how good it was (maybe since I was a teen back then and just cared about the graphics lol). But yeah it's now on my daily work playlist. Same thing with Estrada da Estrela from T5DR
I’m so grateful for Tekken 7. It straight up saved the franchise and made T8 a possibility. All of these moments I watched live but still gave me chills just watching the recap of it all. I also somehow convinced all of my friends in my friend group to play Tekken for the first time with T7 and now we will all be playing Tekken 8 together. Thank you Tekken 7❤️
This video is incredible it's very apparent it took a lot of editing. That ending was awesome felt like a documentary shit this my favorite video on the channel. Words...they just won't stop coming out too much to say.
Oh man, I didn't even play all that much Tekken 7 in retrospect, but the way Max wrapped this legacy up had me tear up a little. To think Tekken 7 has been around for 6-8 years, and now Tekken 8 is just around the corner. We've really been watching this game for a near decade, huh. Really feels like an end of an era here.
Tekken 7 and SF5 is literally EVERYTHING you don't do in making a fighting game. Though to SF5 credits at least they add variations of Arcade mode and got decent in season 5
Akuma and Geese make so much sense for me Beefy, iconic, evil, all go so well with Tekken Noctis and Negan were...hum, something, but for different reasons. I think mostly to open horizons, explore new possibilities Sol (without his blade for extra beefiness) and Yancha (yeah, they can get away being a bit more grounded with him) it also be awesome IMO Just weird and iconic enough to bring something new
Thank you for these videos Max, as a kid growing up playing Tekken 3. Sering Joe Tekken has changed as I am now in my late 20s it truly was a walk down memory lane
YOOO I literally just finished the tag 2 online video and got the notification for this, had to click as fast as I could lol, also TEKKEN 8 IS JUST 2 DAYS AWAY LETS GOOOO
I remember getting the collectors edition of this game, and my brother coming over that same night when I brought it home and we stayed up until 3 AM just playing it, and fighting each other. Great game. Now lets see how well Tekken 8 does. Im so ready for 8.
I had a feeling 7 is the one that saved the series but I was a huge fan of it compared to T6 and TTT2. That said I respect T7 for saving everything about this legendary series.
It brought it back from extinction. It's also interesting to see how much the game changed from its arcade release, the console release and the crazy guest characters.
TEKKEN 7 was my "first" venture into TEKKEN. I remember playing T3 on my PS1 as a kid just because of Eddie Gordo. Living in Brazil, it was extremely rare to find cool Brazilian representation in games. So not only having a hot hunk fighter who happens to be Brazilian BUT ALSO fights using Capoeira was mind-blowing. I then never played a fighting game ever again, since I was mostly an RPG kid. Fast forward to T7, and I got it just because of Noctis. My parents see me playing it and say "Holy shit is that TEKKEN?", and they then say that they used to play T1 or T2 in arcades together in Japan. It was one of their first dates together. I put an ungodly amount of hours in T7. It's such a special game for me, and it's bittersweet to say goodbye to it. I'm so ready for T8 and all new players it might bring.
Baki or Pickle would be sick as hell, I don’t know if they’d go all the way for Yujiro because they’d almost HAVE to make him absolutely tier 0 broken lmao Personal pick (as someone who has never played TEKKEN) would be Jacket from Hotline Miami, I think he’d fit right into the cast of wacky violent mfs
Man...Tekken 7. I still remember being some 11 years old with Tekken 5 thinking about the future of Tekken, "The king of the iron fist tournament 6", The king of the iron fist tournament 7", The king of the iron fist tournament 8", and so on. I remember thinking that Tekken 7 sounded the best; it just rolled off the tongue. And I think it was! As much as an impact T5 had on me, and how incredible of a game it was, Tekken 7 has been by far the best in every way! I enjoyed my time with this game, it has given me so much in my life...but I won't miss it. It's crazy that we've been playing this game for so long, and god damn it I am so ready for Tekken 8! We all are.
Slow-mo zooms is one of the best things ever added to the series.
Made T7 really hype from a spectators perspective be it from actual hype shit or goofy stuff where the slow mo broke. Joel's Skeletor Pizza still cracks me up to this day.

Shout out to the Akuma Shotgun Salute and slow mo Raging Demon, that video is incredible
It was a reason that I actually bought tekken, that and seeing an Akuma death combo
Reminds me of Knee vs Rickstah from Combo Breaker. That shit was WILD.
Joel's Skeletor Pizza skit literally sold thousands of copies, no joke
25:49 LOVE the transition mid-10-hit-combo from child Kazuya to adult Kazuya and how Heihachi was eating those hits from the little boy to now where he’s crumbling from the sheer power of those attacks.

Fun fact. Becuase of this character you will never see Tekken 3 console version's re-release outside of the PS+ Premium's PS1 catalogue.
I love SFV.
It encouraged so many people to play other games like Tekken and KOF, I feel like I almost have to thank Capcom for dropping the ball.
u had me in the first half not gonna lie XD
It helped every other franchise thrive.
Mkx too

I had to know the lore of Tekken and King of Fighters to get into the game.
I think at some point, the Pakistani Tekken FGC was dubbed the Hidden Sand Village. So cool that they finally showed up and shook the foundations.
Thats hilarious and beautiful at the same time

OMG I read this while listening to the main menu theme (Solitude) in my head. It got 2x emotional.
Beautiful story, I’m so sorry for your loss. He must’ve been an amazing guy to be around
😭 Make sure to enjoy Tekken 8 in honor of your good friend!!! 🤗
Respect to that, I lost my best friend of almost 40 years last year and we started with 3 in the arcades. Tomorrow will be an emotional day for me but no way he would not want me to fire up a new Tekken day 1 and smile. I hope you do the same for your friend and enjoy this new entry!
Also, so heartbreaking to think that we lost an indie fighting game forever. Wish we could have a glimpse of what he was doing
The slow mo offscreen raging demon video gets me to this day 😂
what a roller coaster of emotions you put us through with this retrospective, you are truly one of the greats Max.
Thank you for these videos, the commenting, the editing... top tier !
Wow, what a recap
I can't believe I experienced all this live with trailer releases and tournaments
Now there's less than a day left before Tekken 8 drops
Getting OLD
what are you doing here :) love your vids man!
One of your best videos, Max. Excellent work.
This is a great goodbye to one of my favorite games ever. So many memories with friends :')
Thanks Max for making this series it really was a trip down memory lane and a huge thanks to the Tekken community for all the hype moments throughout Tekken 7's life time.
tekken 7 deserves all these flowers. It truly is the best fighting game ever.
.........now....
........onwards!
Awesome comment🎉. I totally share your love for the game
@@metalsadman I love it!
Tekken 7 is what got me to actually sit down and learn a fighting game. I was always a fan of fight games, but T7 got me really into understanding fighting game mechanics.
Your video made me cry, Max. Thank you for everything you do.
Max brings the ex hype ❤
Lol Wtf.... cry?
😂
Tekken 7 having arguably the single hypest soundtrack in fighting game history probably helps as well
its hype af but tbf it isn't as iconic as the street fighter character themes
Watching this video was a trip down memory lane like no other. Going through each of the key moments in this game's lifespan reminded me of just how lucky we were to get this game because of its hype moments and its contributions not only to the Tekken franchise, but the FGC as a community, and more importantly a sport. Its growth was astronomical, and I can't wait to see how its trajectory can impact Tekken 8's in the future.
Thank you for making this video.
This dude really wanted to grind all the tekken games before 8😂
Based
I did it
ManI did NOT expect to be getting emotional seeing those cinematics towards the end. Tekken is just so special.
Man I got chills at the end, I thought my excitement for SF6 was high but I've never been more excited for a fighting game more than I am for T8.
It's the game that got me back into fighting games 20+ years later, and I'm still here. That video might be the best homage/sendoff to a game I've ever watched.
Thumbnail art in this series is incredible
Thanks so much Max for doing this series. As a newer player to the series it was great to see how the games and community developed through the years through someone truly passionate about the FGC. Really looking forward to T8.
i feel like Tekken is the only game where movement can showcase ones skill at the game and make that movement hella scary to up against
I appreciate that these Legacy's on UA-cam are a sit down discussion about the game . Give the twitch Subscribers incentive to see all the actual playing of the game but with recaps. Don't want to assume the separation, but I think it's cool. Your editor(s) do an amazing job with the content you give them to work with.
Max's editors are really, truly, genuinely the best
The transition at the end of the video woke me up better than the two shots of espresso I just had
25:15 Best outro i have ever seen on this channel, and the Tekken 8 clip was cherry on top🔥🔥🔥
Tekken 7 was a hell of a game. I actually had so much fun that I went for and even got the Platinum trophy for it. Farewell to you T7, it was a great ride.
Now onto the next battle.
I still have to grab my PC achievements but yeah PlayStation version has been platinum
Isn't the platinum trophy in tekken 7 like.... really easy to get?
@@paulszki yeah way easier than TK6
Funny enough, the day Tekken 7 hit consoles I got it day 1 and played it a week straight. Day and night, so much so that I got my Platinum trophy without even noticing I was just so immersed in having fun and playing that it surprised me.😅
Thanks for giving us these recaps of the Tekken Series. It means a lot.
This is the game that brought me into the FGC. This is the game that made me fall in love with this genre and the reason I wanted to learn, and while Im excited for 8, I would be lying if I said Im not feeling a tad emotional seeing 7's life span coming to an end
And while a lot of people did not like characters like Noctis or Negan, those were actually some of the most fun characters in the game for me
Thank you for everything, Tekken 7. I'll cherish the memories we had o7
I’m in the same boat, though i feel some will stick with 7 either by choice or because they can’t immediately grab 8, me being the latter. Here’s hoping the online isn’t dead considering T7 still goes on major sales every so often on all platforms
@@grimmestcreaper2212 Yeah thats something I worded poorly, I dont think T7 is going anywhere and Im sure people will stick with it, and even come back to it for years to come
At least I'd hope so, and I'd too like to come back from time to time to get my Noctis or Negan fill
Tekken as a series is probably my top game of all time it’s been a joy watching every episode of your tekken series and I’ll admit you got me choked up at the end. Beautiful stuff
I feel like I’m the only one who loved the story. The kazuya heihachi fight was so hype to me man . I rewatch it at least once a month
Everything leads up to it, no matter how nonsensical, the final fight washes it all away
I don't think anyone complained about the cinematics. They were cool af. The monotone narrator guy is most people's complaint
Tekken, Virtua Fighter, Fighter's Destiny, Battle Arena Toshinden, Dead or Alive and Soul Calibur are the greatest 3D Fighting Games ever made
Hehachi will adopt Young Sheldon to take over the family business
Lmao! He'll bazinga your ass in multiple equations.
That Pakistani story is so great not just for branching out, but for the area it represents. Sure it's on the eastern end of the turmoil of the Middle East, but it's certainly an area that faces plenty of hardship and that's usually forced onto its citizens to adapt to the country's priorities
It's just great they not only got a sizeable league going for the region, but that they could be the cream rising to the top at the final EVO of T7's tenure. It makes me wonder how many other countries have such sleeping potential that merely need the opportunity to make dreams come true
Tekken 7 has done so many things for me.
It got me off of my League of Legends addiction, it helped me through so many bad times like
when i was hospitalized and only could go home on weekends, i would play all day and even
at the mental hospital i would study yoshimitsu flowcharts and moves via a PDF thats still out there.
I played so much Tekken getting better at it that i thought "what else could i be good at if i spent the time?"
So i started learning 3D Modelling and Animation, Game development in unreal engine, a bit of C++ (still learning, its tough..)
etc.
Man its really been a long time, and i love this game with all my heart. It will always be dear to me.
Goodbye Tekken 7
Massive THANK YOU for this little pre Tekken 8 launch series - brought up a lot of fun memories and reminded me why I love this series so much
Tekken 7 actually made me love the tekken story, it changed alot but i honestly think it made the story better
I used to call the Arslan Ash story a shonen arc and I didn't think I'd see this exact feeling voiced here😭
Great video, that last part made me feel pretty emotional
damn bro now you got me in my feels now at work….
The timing of this tekken legacy recap was 100% perfect. Well done
What a great sum up of this fantastic phenomenon that Tekken 7 has become! Thank you very much Max!!! See you all in Tekken 8 bros!
The geese reveal was iconic
Amazing video Max, you are the guy that introduced me to the whole fighting game genre and I am deeply grateful for that, you are an one of a kind storyteller that will hopefully keep bringing a larger audience to enjoy the community and the games we love
Cant wait for the tekken 8 cover
That speech at the end where you're saying TEKKEN finally became a world wide fighting game had me tearing up.
Excellent video as always. Props to the editor big time.
8:17 My favorite Harada moment 😂 “Get OUT!!” 😡
His reaction anytime people ask him for things.
23:11 I don't understand how the menu music for Tekken 8 can be so nostalgic when it's basically only just released 😭
Max's editors deserve alot of praise.
You're killing it with these tekken thumbnails! 👍🏻
Tekken 7's FGC did the one thing all these games are about but in reality. The best from all over the world showing up and rocking the crowd. Its so fucking rad man.
Pakistan is like beating the final boss only to find a post credit boss that makes everyone look like chumps.
As a Pakistani Tekken player I thank you for dedicating time to talk about the emergence of Pakistan in the global Tekken scene.
Damn people really sleep on the 'Edge of Spring' song from Tekken 6
@@kevninetytwo2348 stumbled upon that track literally 2-3 days ago and didn't realize how good it was (maybe since I was a teen back then and just cared about the graphics lol).
But yeah it's now on my daily work playlist. Same thing with Estrada da Estrela from T5DR
@@kevninetytwo2348 The vid is about T7 so that's why I commented on a song from T7 not T6
Rest In Peace, Tekken 7, you absolute gem of a game. The memories made will never be forgotten and I can't wait to see how Tekken 8 gets even better
The last 3-4 battles of T7 story were really awesome
A few hours to tekken8 hits, glad to have been part of this journey since 1995🎉
The Pakistan story for Tekken is something special.
Every time I get off work I catch these episodes right when they air
I dont follow the FGC. The story of Pakastani Tekken was so heartwarming. Thank you for sharing it. Much love to them.
Tekken 7 and SF5 is literally EVERYTHING you don't do in making a fighting game.
Though to SF5 credits at least they add variations of Arcade mode and got decent in season 5
Brunty, you absolutely killed this one. Absolute master class editing. Thank you for this wonderful series, Max.
The best thing about this retrospective has been the thumbnail art, these are fire. This artist has been doing a great job
Akuma and Geese make so much sense for me
Beefy, iconic, evil, all go so well with Tekken
Noctis and Negan were...hum, something, but for different reasons. I think mostly to open horizons, explore new possibilities
Sol (without his blade for extra beefiness) and Yancha (yeah, they can get away being a bit more grounded with him) it also be awesome IMO Just weird and iconic enough to bring something new
Maaaaan the ending of the video gave me a GOOSEBUMPS!!!, like if you felt the same ❤
Thank you for these videos Max, as a kid growing up playing Tekken 3.
This game is Legendary.
I wouldn't even say the Pakistan storyline is one of the best fighting game stories. It's one of the best esports storylines of all time
I had a feeling 7 is the one that saved the series but I was a huge fan of it compared to T6 and TTT2. That said I respect T7 for saving everything about this legendary series.
Yeah tekken 7 is a weird one because people say it had no single content but i grinded for thé money ect
Tekken has always been a stylish fighting game. The characters are amazing.
My picks for any guest characters for Tekken 8 would be Baki, the bride ( Kill Bill ) and Yugo the wolf from bloody roar
Or Kiryu from Yakuza
@@NeutralGuyDoubleZeroMajima or even Ichiban would be better, IMO.
Add Tifa to the list and ship it dude. Money practically roll in by themselves.
Baki or Pickle would be sick as hell, I don’t know if they’d go all the way for Yujiro because they’d almost HAVE to make him absolutely tier 0 broken lmao
Personal pick (as someone who has never played TEKKEN) would be Jacket from Hotline Miami, I think he’d fit right into the cast of wacky violent mfs
Oh man I forgot about Yugo, that would actually be a pretty amazing crossover
Or Zell from Final Fantasy VIII as a weird odd ball character
Thank you for the memories of all this years Tekken 7
imma Tekken believer now 💪🏾
Man...Tekken 7.
We all are.
