You are so together!!! Beautiful job, and so beautiful that you do something for a living that you love and enjoy...it shows in your emotions and in the beautiful work you do!!!
Nice to catch up with your update of all the happenings in the studio Jake. Thanks for this. Re. GFO Vs Aluminium oxide I have heard a it’s lot more favourable to go GFO/ avoid the Aluminium oxide.
For the water level in those tanks... you should mark them with 5gl 10gl will be annoying at first but once you do it will be worth it to know exact amount!!
Awesome Setups Jake! For the Mangroves if you didnt know that, they love some freshwater mist on the leaves. I had a couple myself but after i shut that tank down i gifted them a good buddy.
Been following the channel for a while now. Awesome to see everything coming together for you jake. I love the hobby. And its cool to see that you are doing all this as your hobby and not just a way to generate income.
In Singapore, majority of the Reefers uses tap water w dechlorinator such as Prime or Safe for their Reef tanks. I'm just in awe seeing their SPS thrives with just tap! Here in NY, it's totally different.
Jake you don't get the arms with the red sea lights the bracket's are extra you will be amazed by the growth of these lights I can't believe it fantastic lights oh btw love the channel from your new English friend jay
Thanks for an overview of yr systems, all looking great. Really enjoying yr videos. Gd luck with the nudis, they are a pita, I’ve been there and managed to eradicate them by daily, regular checking esp night time and scrubbing my montis. These things keep us on our toes lol.
One competition idea could be a contest showing off your frag growth over 6 weeks or so. The marine aquarium fanatics Australia page is doing something like this currently
Good job with the big water system stand, I recently got my water making/mixing station up too in the garage, and have it plumbed through the walls and OMG! Having a hose where the tank is that I can just grab turn a valve and poof saltwater, or freshwater, so great. I will say that I may have to steal your idea of the clear tubing to determine water level though, absolutely brilliant idea... better than just knocking on the side of the container and getting a feel for where about the water is. FYI if you do pump it up you can get remote controlled outlets really cheap, so you can just press a button while you're next to the tank you're servicing with water without having to trudge back and forth. So jealous of all the species specific tanks though, something I would do here except California electricity rates will make me go broke very quickly. :D
I've been waiting for a peak at that planted tank for weeks! And to my surprise we have the same exact sailfin mollies 💛 I just had a drop of about 45 to 50 fry in one of my tanks🌿 Did I hear you correct at the beginning with the big tank is going to be planted? I guess I could check? Dah!😂 I have 8 planted tanks and a pond tub with a group of Kohaku Koi Swordtail and all my tanks have fancy swordtail. Thanks looking great!💜💚
I love your videos Jake. I had a quick questions...what species of corals can you scrub to rid of algae without compromising the health. My montipora are covered in algae and I just take off what I can without causing too much damage to the polyps. I know my phosphates are high but I'm controlling that. Unfortunately I let it go on too long and then life got in the way and the algae just took over. Again I love how you are maintaining all these different species... definitely a thing of beauty 😊.
Aluminum oxide tends to work faster but breaks down in a reactor I usually remove it after 4 days to a week so it doesn’t leech back. But as far as silicate reduction goes it should be faster than gfo just like it is with phosphate. GFO is better for long term use ime and aluminum oxide is better for immediate/emergency use.
Hi Jake, great video! For the giveaway I think it would be nice if you have a post or email where people can send you pictured of their reef and the reason they would like to win the pump and choose based on that. Can't wait for the giveaway. Congratulations no the 50K Subscriptions. I love your channel and you always great information to share. Keep up the good work.
You should do your contest like billy pipes reefco 8k giveaway. Make people post videos of their reefs to be entered. It's great for bringing the community together! The Studio looks awesome! Keep up the great work!
Just thought I’d tell you I’m one of the aquatics specialist at Petco and we get our Bangaii Cardinals through quality marine. I have 4 myself and got them super healthy.

@@ReefBuildersVideo I did watch the episode with using a waterpic for removal off nudis, actually doing that in my system as i found its more effective than all the dips i have tried.
Hey just wanted to say love your Channel but wanted to know if you could contact Aquarium or animal attractions in Greeley Colorado and see if you give them pointers on how to actually keep saltwater tanks I was in there on Saturday and their plants and their tanks were overdue for a cleaning by months
My favorite garage in the whole wide World.😊

Looking really good brotha👊👍
hey jake, those water level indicators a re cool, you can also put a fishing float in there as well so you can see it from across the room.
I’ve thought about that, some kind of fluorescent float that will be even more visible, will look at fishing floats thanks for the tip
So happy you finally put out a new update.

I should try to spy on them at night, good idea
Awesome job Jake! The studio is on point.
I checked and I'm pumped to see what you create! Remember the beautiful Swordtail when you stock it with fish!🤔😉🙄🙄✌🌿🌱🍃
I have already kept the longest swordtails, Xiphophorus montezumae, might bring them back someday as I love them

Its really awesome
Montipora eating nudibranchs are a nightmare. The only montipora that survived were the ones with dresses in them.

Photo contest for the vectras!
heres a clever idea... give them all to me!
Oh no! You didnt show us the token nano reef. Stoked to see an update on that one😁

Thanks for the update.. would be interesting if you evaluate with dips actually kill Monti eating Nudis
I don’t rely on any dips for nudi removal, it’s basically all manual removal

What took so long Jake!lol Happy Reefing brother.
I say give the pump to me if the Blues win tomorrow night. GO BLUES!
i have never seen tinkers in captivity. pretty cool about as rare as Moorish idols.
Way more rare, thankfully the moorish idols are getting rare as they are challenging to keep
i dont know what it is, but i really enjoy your intro music lol
where is the irobot glass cleaner/scraper?
I have one, his name is Max and he's 16
Suggestion for the giveaways: give it to the subscribers who are at most distance from your location. i‘m from Germany 😀
Nice Video, can you let us know how you make your stock solutions for Calcium, Buffer and Magnesium?
Hey just wanted to say love your Channel but wanted to know if you could contact Aquarium or animal attractions in Greeley Colorado and see if you give them pointers on how to actually keep saltwater tanks I was in there on Saturday and their plants and their tanks were overdue for a cleaning by months
That’s a surprise because usually their tanks are pretty swanky, must have caught them before a cleanup
You didn't mention anything about the first tank with the hammers and the psudo
Yeah it pretty much looks the same, corals and fish - I'll polish it up and show it off another time
Reefbuilders studio is looking rad. Do you ever allow visitors? Would you do an open day?
Ok, that stand does not look it will stand that much weight. The two vats filled would be about a ton?
Yeah I shores up that stand and then danced on it with not an imaginary jiggle
Did I hear altum angelfish they are my holy grail freshwater fish
Yessir, got lucky to find some 25 cent size wild Altums for $25 about two years ago and they’re doing great!
Be much nicer if your camera guy would actually do some close up of the tanks. Just a thought could barely see anything you were pointing out.
hi jake which brand is best in quality red sea or waterbox since you have both
Any updates on the new red sea lights????
Very soon!
Oh a vectra you say Jake lol please🙏🏼😂
thx for this vid. More videos are more supscribers ! go for it
Let’s guess how many miles are on the forester for the prize 😎
Outback ;-)
Send in photos of coral or tanks and the best two, or your favourite two win
I think it's better to give away the equipments to REEFBUILDERS who don't get a chance to hold on to fancy equipments hahahahahahaha
Do a 1 to 1000 number pick for the give away lol idk great update ✌
so jack its gonna be selling coral / fish or just a hobby ?
what do you for a living to have such a sweet fish room
This is it
Aluminium oxide is practically inert. What is it supposed to absorb?
It’s commonly used to adsorb phosphate and silicate
@@ReefBuildersVideo Huh, I'll have to look into that .
Aluminium oxide works faster and stronger than gfo
Start a cold water reef tank
I will do a cold water tank for sure, will wait until after summer
Freshwater Booooo Booooo boo !!!!!!!!
Hi how are conspicuous angel fish doing?
They’re good - grown a bit but still anxious to see more adult colors come through
