Overpowered early in Pathfinder Kingmaker - Level 15 before fighting Tartuccio

- I forgot to add, you have to turn on the options (settings - difficulty) to not share xp with companions for either skill checks and in general)
Did not record the video on Unfair but have done a similar run on Unfair on my stream, which was jsut less ideal routewise, so I decided to record a fresh run for youtube. - Ігри
If I could make a slight addendum to this guide: After getting Heart of Ira, you may want to take a small detour to the bridge and use it to kill the Crag Linnorm for some hefty EXP, before you head on over to Pitax. Also, if something goes wrong when fighting the Lich, you can Dimension Door out of his room, head upstairs to rest, then go back in and resume the fight. He won't recover any of his HP or expended spells, so you can finish him off at your own pace. ;)
Yeah that is true, I think my goal was to kill as little enemies as possible with the heart since it's not only cheesy but boring. :D
After killing the lich one can easily take the Crag.
Good to kno about the DD out and rest, I've done that to reset his aggro, but never rested. :D
very nice to see someone use meta knowledge and put these things together; I have 3 full playthroughts and on my next one intend to play lawful evil but also disable xp sharing (why give XP to so many NPC-s I never use)
this strat is super interesting, i recently started playing this game and wanted to try routing a speedrun for it, definitely gonna use this. thanks!
Not sure how useful this is for a speedrun, unless its on unfair ofc.
Just incase anyone comes across this and wonders if it still works, it does. Like the guy says press R, ESC, and then SPACE all within a second and a half after the encounter pops up and you should scoot past the encounter and into the fog. Then its just a matter of saving and making sure you don't die to random encounters because you're gunna instantly die if you have to fight anything out there.
I'm assuming this doesn't work on console?
@@meandmyshadowgovshh I don't have a console so I can't test it, but since controls are different it might not work, have to test it to be sure tho.

How do you do the infinite XP glitch for Shrewish Gulch? I'm not sure what to do to make the skill check challenge keep resetting. Also, I'm using a party of 5. Will that impact my ability to reach level 15 this early on?
Unless they fixed it you just exit out of the dialogue via the lowest number (leave or smth like that). Keep in mind this video was made before the Enhanced Edition came out and all I ever played since then was
This still works.. If you reach lvl 16 and enable shared exp option, all of unclaimed characters like (octavio jub) will be on the same level.
Victor... i have a new question. I m doing another build now (melee) solo, ainda i cant find locations in stolen lands. i just moving around to find the location and nothing comes up. Only low lvls locations around oleg's trading post. this happen cause some settings in the game?

Muche asier with a party since each member gets a separate check, but solo having high perception is mandatory. (dragon lair need2 30+ to even be possible with a natural 20)

Any tips for locating Country Road? I got 15 Perception, saved before entering the area. I nail the check on entering in but can never find or have country road pop up on my map. 30 retries and notta.
How far away from Country Roads did you quicksave?
I have a theory that if you saved to close, you already failed your PER check.
That being said I had 17 PER in the vid and can't remember how many times I had to reload, maybe 17 is close to the minimum you need.
edit:You can reset perception checks by either leveling up or even just respeccing at the inn.
@@VictorCreedGaming I'm saved prior to crossing the second popup with the perception check and a backup when I re-entered the starting zone.
Also I can't figure out how you got 17. I am following every step. Plume aasimar with 20 wis and skill focus perception. -Also noticing all of your skills a +1 over my own. What is giving you +1 to all of your skills?- Edit: Looks like the hat is a pre-order bonus, so that's out of the question.
You can go to Crag Linnorm and get the hat there with just invis and sneaking, that should get you to the same PER.
What's minimum perception check for country road. I don't think my non wisdom build 12 perception even see the not with multiple reload. Is there other place with decent xp gain?
It would be a less optimal route, but you can also go for Crag Linnorm at Bridge over Gudrin River.
This will be decent xp and a +2 skillchecks hat.
Keep in mind you can be very flexible with Ira and visit literally any location on the map as long as your perception is high enough to find it.
The reason why i went for Country Road early is because the item dropping there provides us with additional perception, which helps with harder to find areas, dragon needs like 30 perception after all.
If you are close to Gudrin River you can also try to save and reload to get Lonely Barrow on your map, even tho you wouldn't be going for the lich just yet, the traps in there are a lot of xp.
So TLDR just go anyplace you want, kill stuff with ira from stealth or better yet invis, once you get enough per for country road, def go for it (17 should be enough, might take a couple reloads tho)

Hm yeah true I didn't think of that, but I guess just stealing the hat with +2 skills using invis could be a nice boost, but maybe not worth the detour unless you are a wizard or sorc and can also make use of the rod.
What's the maximum level possible before chapter 2 if you solo as much as possible and focus on doing everything, including companion quests?
The highest I've gotten is level 9 - short of level 10 - and wanted to know if level 5 Sor spells were possible pre-chapter 2.
I don't really level past 8 or 9, since Stag Lord is quite easy even on Unfair. Don't remember ever getting close to 10 besides this cheese ofc haha.
@@VictorCreedGaming For me the point was to get as high of a level as possible before chapter 2 and, with mods, use the remaining time for random encounters and crafting to be optimally prepared.
Yeah makes sense, I just prefer getting to A2 fast, I never used the method in this video in an actual run either, and did smth similar (only level to 11 with Ira cheese) only in one run and then never again.

Well same method as I got 15 with in this video, just only classes with dimension door can get to 15, so I stopped at 11 with the class I was playing, but its not fun abusing this stuff, so I only ever did it once lol.
so uhm where do u get Dimension Door Scrolls ? i cant seem to find any of those
In Kingmaker you don't get them before Act 2 (and only if your Kingdom has high enough Arcana), so scrolls won't work for the method in this video.
Got 17 perception which is still not enough to discover the country road. How much more do I need? Tried like 7 times.
Hm in the vid I also had 17.
I might have gotten very lucky, keep in mind this game has dice 20 rolls, so you can succeed even if you only have a 5% chance.
This means if you get super unlucky it can take way over 20 tries to roll a 20.
Idk if you really need a 20 for country roads with 17 perception, but you definitely have to keep reloading.
Did you quicksave when you were still a little bit further away?
Afaik a reload doesn't count if you are too close to the perception check.
in minute 3:52 u talk aboute press quickly two keys but i cant pass throught the fog. Can u write what keys are pressed? in what version of pathfinder kingmaker this bug is opperative? thanks
You press whichever button is assigned to resting (for most people it is "R") and then escape.
Afaik the bug still works in any version, at this point I guess it's a feature.
Those 1000 bp in ilthuliaks lair are available when you get your town?
Hm, I honestly don't remember, it's been too long.
I wanna say they are, but it kinda doesn't matter, by the time you beat the dragon fair solo, 1k bp is irrelevant anyway.

I'm not using any mods and I wouldn't know any version having changed the skills you get.
Are you sure you have the same item bonuses as me?
I get some skill bonuses from preorder items like that Owl pet (doesn't even remotely cover all skills tho).
thanks for quick reply. no pre-order or any other bonuses. just recently got it. but ALL my skills are -1 on yours except for perception. i got to pick a feat when choosing monk at level 1 which you did not and i think i chose something to aid perception.
Ye might be preorder stuff then, I don't entirely remember but maybe the helm covered the other skills you don't get from pets etc.
Will this work on PS4? If so can you use it in the middle of the game?
Sorry for late reply: I think someone mentioned its hard to press the correct buttons for fogskip on controller.
There's no real reason to do this midgame, since A1 fog is gone already, but you can still go all the way to A6 whenever, and ofc if you ahve dimension Door, fighting the lich anytime is a giant xp and equip boost.
so How does one get to the Lich? where in the map is it?

This actually is not working anymore. You can´t pass through random encounter near trial hills because of the unnatural fog. It seems they have fixed it?
Sorry for late reply, I'm on a new pc and haven't transferred my saves yet.
This might be too obvious a question but I'll ask it anyway:
Have you pressed "rest" (default should be R) at the correct time, right after the random envounter popped up? and then pressed esc right after? You should still get the unnatural fog encounter but if you just exit it, you will actually be on the other side.

Fortunately i found another video where you explain it clearly (Im not native english speaker and miss that part off pushing rest buttom and then pressing escape and all the stuff ). Maybe not enough perception? quicksaving before coming too close and reloading can help (its a d20 check)

Someone mentioned having trouble inputting the "rest" button and then escape and space, since the controls are all different on console, but I don't remember if they pulled it of for not.
@@VictorCreedGaming Since there is no escape on consoles I'm pretty sure it's not doable there, also the input lag on console makes pressing taking too long. f.e. pressing exit button takes like a second and it takes at least a second for it to even show up.
