    I have a 2008 MK2 8J Audi TT 3.2L V6 quattro DSG - I had software installed but had it uninstalled the same day - as it was not correct... it had pops and bangs included, but between 3 and 5k rpms if you lift your foot from the throttle then the car starts to jerk around and refs goes up and down. So was not happy with that particular persons software....
    Any advice /tips?
    I dont really need more power as the 3.2l v6 mk2 has quite a lot on its own for daily driver even for over-takes. With that software - dont really want to say the name (but the guy said its international) so ye. But errors also showed up - the Tyre pressure malfunction system came on (as i have runflats) and must say the 2x fronts was flatter, so went to the garage and pumped them up, but the TMPS code error did not want to go away - also shown on my OBD sensor that the Clutch position is not correct (under Engine settings on OBDII) as well as it said the coolant fan is blocked / not working....
    So went back to the guy and had it removed and all those errors was gone.... and car drove normally again. Is it best to go to a 'proper' tuning place? Although the guy said this is the first time this has happened and he explained why the car may jerk like that between those refs when letting off throttle he said the guy he spoke to who helped with the mapping said it can be my Cats that is the problem... what do you think?
    I do not really want to have the cats removed - would love to... but when it comes to reselling your car people tend to think that the car has been raced etc when you buy a car with a mod on...
    So any advice? Maybe just change the back box or no box at all at the back? As my Audi MK2 has a big box at the back, and then 2x smaller longer boxes in the middle and then 2x cats for the 2x pipes coming from the engine.
    Would love some advice... I just want to hear more growl and possibly pops, due to being a duel-clutch with paddle shifts DSG. I would just like more sound when lifting off throttle and when it changes gears.
    Thank you!

    • @COMotorsports
      @COMotorsports  3 роки тому +2

      You asked "is it best to go to a proper tuning place" that answer is sort of self explanatory. Would you hire a janitor to clean your teeth? Go with a UM and leave the worries behind you.

      @@COMotorsports Hehe, ye i figured, but the guy did have a 5 star rating etc... but was a bit skeptical when i got there.... so now ill save a bit more and go to Wolfchiptechnic - do not know if you know them? I live in South Africa. I basically want some 'dsg farts' with a bit of pops and bangs, not much... just more than what i currently hear, as this audi mk2 2008 8J 3.2l v6 is silenced to hell, as it has 2x cats for each pipe then box in the middle and big box at the back. So what do you suggest? I do not really want to remove the cats, but if that is the only option to achieve what i want then guess i have to do it... or as i asked do you have something else in-mind? E.g. just removing the back box completely - and just pipes from the middle box? or a smaller box at the back? Or will you just go straight and take out the cats and middle box and replace with pipes and one box at the back? The reason for asking this is as when "IF" one wants to sell it again (your car) - people tend to think if you have downpiped etc your car then you have raced with it and driven hard with the car and that means they will not pay the same as an original, (prob depends on the mods and how good of a job is done and whats done etc). So would love to hear an opinion... as for power - i dont really need much more than what i currently have, but i know software will add a little bit, and if you do the exhaust. But all i want is a bit louder exhaust notes and some 'dsg farts' as i do have a dsg haldex system. Now I heard you speaking about the Haldex system tunes... now is that separate from just a stage 1 tune? - or does a Stage 1 tune already contains that info for the Haldex /clutch system? - As i mentioned when i did it with that guy which i removed it again on my OBDII meter it showed an error in the engine section for clutch position. Or is that just bad programming / 'bad' software? But then as i mentioned he said due to my car jurking between refs e.g. 3 to 5k rpm if i lift off my foot from 5krpm in 'semi manual' then it jurks and the refs goes up and down - now he said they told him the people who helped him with the tune said it can be my cats thats the issue that they are blocked?? Do you think that is possible? - Or was it straight up just bad software? Thank you again for your reply!! =)

      All depends on your fuel, mods, and how far you want to push it. Remember the K04 is only so big so there's only so much power that can be had out of it. So I guess the real question would be what does it make now for power on the dyno?
