An epidural can be used during birth for pain management, but not for addressing pelvic pain during your pregnancy. As far as the best position for giving birth, it varies for each person based on their hip and pelvic floor flexibility, baby's position, etc..., but if you're able to be in a position where gravity can assist in helping the baby migrate downward (ex: in a supported squat or supported lunge position) that is often very helpful
You can have a natural birth. Your body was designed to be able to do it. Better for you and baby. You don’t want to drug your baby with fentanyl and other narcotics.
